SoapJar Productions makes beautiful affordable wedding films. They are a London-based wedding videography business run by fiance duo Sophie and Joe. Bringing over eight years of experience in filmmaking and editing to the table, Sophie and Joe specialise in playful and personal storytelling. The dynamic team loves creating authentic, unfussy, and budget-friendly wedding videos that are beautiful and evocative. These talented videographers don't believe a high-quality video capturing the best day of your life should come at a considerable cost. SoapJar Productions would love to preserve your everlasting memories so you can cherish them for years to come.
Services Offered
SoapJar Productions offers two filming packages to suit your needs for your special day. The first package provides half-day coverage and includes a four to six-minute video edited to music, showcasing the main highlights of your day. The second package offers full-day coverage with a seven to nine-minute video that includes the morning preparations and evening dancing. Sophie and Joe would love to hear from you to begin preparing for your magical event.

Can you travel?
Yes, anywhere! We cover all of the UK and worldwide
What is the charge for travelling?
There is no charge within London.
We charge a small expenses fee (relative to the distance from London) to cover travel for places further afield
What kind of technology do you use?
Digital
Do you use a specific technique or innovative approach?
As we're a couple ourselves who like the authentic, candid approach and we don't like anything to look too staged. We are great at capturing intimate moments while you just enjoy your day!
What kind of equipment do you use?
We use high end equipment including; Canon R5C, Gimbal and Microphones. On special request we also bring a handycam for video guestbooks!

Usually by the hour but this would be discussed with the couple prior to the day

Captured every moment perfectly. Impressive & seamless!
My wife and I got married in the South Downs in early September, Sophie and Joe captured every moment perfectly.
From the moment they arrived we knew we had made an excellent decision in having them record our special day.
When they arrived, they brought with them an amazing energy that really made us feel special, the pair are exceptionally friendly and charming as well as professional.
They quickly got to work scouting out opportunistic angles and adjusting various bits of filming equipment to get the perfect shots, all the while being almost unnoticeable.
Sophie and Joe stayed late into the evening to capture all of the dancing and revelry, so not a moment of our wedding was missed, and before we knew it we had a finished product ready to view!
The quality of the video was astounding, things seemed to move so fast on the day, so getting to watch the video back in such detail was incredibly moving.
We had given Sophie and Joe very little direction with what to do with the footage in regards to editing and music, so they sampled a few of the songs from our wedding playlist, and also used some wonderfully fitting songs of their own, the finished product was seamless.
I'm never usually one to boast, but I made a point of showing the video to every guest we had round for the next few months, it was that impressive!
The video had a perfect blend of shots, capturing all the important moments as well as some lovely scenic views from the venue, additionally Sophie and Joe seem to have a knack for bringing out the best in whatever they point their lenses at, there are so many moments in our video that capture our personalities, as well as our guests' too. Watching the video back we get to be reminded of all the warmth, love and care that went into the day, of which Sophie and Joe played a very important role.
We had been on the fence about hiring a videographer during the planning process, but booking Sophie and Joe was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we made.

A fantastic job & lovely presence
Sophie did a fantastic job of filming our wedding.
She had a lovely presence which meant she slipped in easily to capture close ups and little details, whilst also capturing all the key, important moments.
She has a great eye for what will later be edited into a shorter, keepsake film. She edits well to music whilst also supplying voice recordings where appropriate
She provided us with a 12 minute record of the day with our chosen music which our close family and friends have all admired. She also put a 3 minute edit to music out of copyright which we could share on social media. This also got some amazing feedback.
If you ask Sophie to film your wedding then it's a great mix of a friendly, expert filming offer plus an additional add of her clever artistic eye.
She is fantastic to involve on your special day.

Our perfect day, captured perfectly!
I love the informality of our wedding video. The essence of our special day was filmed and edited exactly as I wanted. No cheesy music- just the songs and pieces that were used for our day. The final version was the perfect length and represents the day as I remember it. I never tire of rewatching our fabulous video and absolutely everyone who has seen it loves it as much as we do!

I can't recommend them enough! An absolute joy.
I can't recommend Sophie enough! She was an absolute joy to have as our wedding videographer. She took the time to meet with us in advance to find out what sort of film style we wanted. We asked for a fly-on-the-wall type style and this is exactly what she gave us. We hardly noticed her on the day, but she seemed to capture every single minute! It was incredibly special for us both to see things we didn't actually see on the day, in particular for me seeing the guests arriving and mingling. Sophie allowed us to choose the background music and include some of our professional photos in the video too all edited very professionally and received our video only a few weeks after the wedding. We now have a high-quality video of our special day and this was all down to Sophie. If you want a high-quality, friendly, organised but affordable videographer - Sophie is your person.
