Villa Relais Il Termine is a historic private residence on Elba Island, immersed in one of the island’s most authentic and secluded landscapes, where Mediterranean woodland, sea views and the rhythms of an agricultural estate come together in a setting of rare intimacy.

Our wedding philosophy is deliberately different from that of a traditional venue. We specialise in very intimate, elegant and deeply meaningful weddings, conceived not simply as a celebration lasting a few hours, but as a four-day private experience to be shared with the people who truly matter.

The most authentic expression of this concept is a wedding for the 12 guests staying at the Villa. In this format, the entire estate becomes their private home for several days and our team can personally accompany the couple throughout the experience, helping to organise every stage from beginning to end.

The Villa offers six bedrooms, two of which form part of the Junior Suite, accommodating up to 12 resident guests, with the possibility of adding a maximum of three extra beds. Each room has its own independent access, allowing guests to enjoy both the intimacy of being together and the freedom and privacy of their own space.

For the resident guests, our Exclusive Wedding Experience includes much more than accommodation. Each day is accompanied by our charme breakfast and dinner or tasting experience, with the exception of the wedding day itself, when the celebration menu is created and quoted separately. Food is an essential part of the stay: seasonal produce from the estate, Mediterranean flavours and the local catch sourced by our own team bring the island directly from land and sea to the table.

Within this intimate format, we can take care of almost every element ourselves: accommodation, breakfasts and dinners, the wedding celebration, menus, service, mise en place, experiences and the coordination of the different moments of the stay. The result is a wedding that feels less like an event organised around a venue and more like four days of life shared together in a private Mediterranean home.

For couples wishing to celebrate with a wider circle of family and friends, we can also organise weddings of approximately 30–40 guests. We intentionally keep these celebrations intimate, as this number allows us to preserve the atmosphere, quality of service and connection with the estate that define Villa Relais Il Termine.

When the celebration exceeds the resident group of up to 12 guests plus three extra beds, additional organisation becomes necessary. From the 16th guest onwards, we require the support of a professional wedding planner who can work alongside our team to coordinate any additional furniture, tables, chairs, tableware, decorative installations and technical requirements, together with an appropriate Plan B in case of bad weather, including any necessary covered structures or marquees. This allows larger celebrations to remain elegant and beautifully integrated into the estate without compromising the intimacy of the experience.

The property extends over more than 70,000 square metres, yet everything remains naturally connected and close: Mediterranean woodland, olive groves, gardens, terraces, the swimming pool, sea-facing areas and our Stanze nel Bosco – Rooms in the Woods. Rather than feeling dispersed, the estate creates a sequence of intimate environments that can accompany each moment of the wedding.

A ceremony beneath the trees can flow into an aperitif overlooking the sea; dinner can take place beneath the Mediterranean sky; breakfast the following morning can become another moment of celebration. Some experiences can also move through the estate itself, creating itinerant aperitifs, tastings and moments that allow guests to discover the property gradually rather than experiencing the wedding in a single fixed space.

Our Rooms in the Woods are one of the most distinctive parts of the estate: private open-air spaces immersed in the greenery, created for relaxation, sensory experiences and moments of complete disconnection. Together with the woodland spa, they add another dimension to the wedding stay and allow couples and their closest guests to experience the estate beyond the celebration itself.

The four-day experience can then be personalised with a selection of activities organised directly by our team: spa circuits and sensory massages, cooking experiences, roaming aperitifs through the estate, sunset cruises, full-island boat experiences, fishing experiences for different levels, guided walks and private transfers by sea from the mainland aboard our own boats.

None of these elements are intended as a rigid package. They are possibilities from which each couple can create an experience that genuinely reflects who they are.

At Villa Relais Il Termine, we believe that the most memorable weddings are not necessarily the largest or the most elaborate. They are those in which people have time to be together, where every space has meaning, where food tells the story of the place and where the surrounding nature becomes part of the celebration itself.

For twelve guests, Villa Relais Il Termine can become a completely private world for four days, with almost every detail cared for directly by us. For a celebration of 30–40 guests, it becomes an intimate destination wedding shaped together with a carefully selected professional team.
