I started my DJ career in 1995 at the age of twelve, being fascinated by disco lighting and loving the loud music. The option to combine both was to be a DJ, which was the perfect choice. The first thing I decided on was my disco name, Strobe Disco Roadshow. I chose this because I wanted to stand out and be different to the other DJs of that time who simply went by a personal name or something a little boring, ‘Dave’s Disco’ (Sorry, any Daves’)
I began by playing at children’s parties and school discos. This developed my DJ skills and built my knowledge and experience. By 1999, I was becoming increasingly popular, and my work moved to adult functions, festive events, corporate events, and weddings. I then entered the nightclub sector as a club DJ for well-known venues of the time, including Chicago’s Flares and Liquid.
In 2003, I decided I wanted to become more of a Wedding DJ and concentrated my business in this direction. I soon discovered a gap in the market for the younger wedding DJ, and, being only 20 myself, I decided to fill this void. I invested all my savings at the time into a completely new DJ show and set out to become the youngest, most popular, and professional wedding DJ in the area. Building on experience this set me in a superb position going forward.
Coming to the present day, I have now expanded the business and run a team of five professional DJs, all working to the high standards and qualities I have established over the years. We have the pleasure of working in some stunning venues in the area, as well as private home weddings and are often booked to work long distances from our home base. We are very proud to be one of a very few highly recommended suppliers to the stunning Bassmead Manor Barns, St Neots, Sissons Barn, Peakirk, The Old Nene, Ramsey, Sandon Manor, Sandon. We are the full-time Resident DJ suppliers to Orton Hall Hotel & Spa and the Holiday Inn Thorpe Wood, Peterborough, William Cecil, Stamford and The Haycock Manor, Wansford.
You will see that we employ some of the most advanced sound and lighting equipment in the industry, ensuring superior music quality and the very best in visual lighting entertainment. We also have a range of additional products for clients who really want the WOW factor for their special day.
We are not the cheapest DJ company in the area, nor are we the most expensive. Our aim is to deliver a high-quality, reliable, and excellent value-for-money DJ service. We will always provide an excellent service for your special day and will tailor it exactly to your requirements. You will only marry once, so it’s essential that everything is perfect and that what you have dreamed of for your special day becomes a reality.

Fantastic fun, lots of options and great to work with
Matt, our DJ on the day, was fantastic fun and very accommodating, managing more than a few requests from our guests (sorry about that Matt!). He also did a great job counting us into the New Year (not just a wedding- but a New Year's wedding!). The sound and lighting were fantastic and we had an amazing time. Would absolutely book again.

They took the time to understand our music taste and helped us create the perfect playlist—from the ceremony and drinks reception, right through to the final dance. The transitions were seamless, the energy was spot on, and they somehow managed to get every generation on the dance floor. Even our “non-dancing” guests couldn’t resist!
The lighting and sound setup was also amazing—it transformed the space and really brought the party to life. Strobe Disco brought such a great energy to the night and genuinely felt like part of the celebration rather than just a vendor.

From the moment we booked, nothing was too much trouble. Rob went above and beyond to make everything feel personal – even mixing our first dance song to create something unique and completely us, which turned out absolutely perfect.
The mix of songs throughout the night was spot on, keeping everyone – from the younger crowd to the older generation – dancing all evening. Communication with Rob was excellent from start to finish, and the set-up on the night looked and sounded incredible.
