Located outside Fressingfield near Framlingham in Suffolk, The Sancroft Barns is a wedding venue for those seeking to wed or celebrate in England's fabulous East Anglian countryside. This lightly renovated Barn venue combines both rustic features with a classic heritage exterior that is essential for a celebration that will live long in your memory. With a plethora of indoor character and outdoor event space available, The Sancroft Barns can host the wedding of which you've always dreamed – with a dry-hire venue you get a blank canvas and flexibility to create your very own special day. With lovely panoramic views of the countryside, this setting provides an idyllic romantic atmosphere.
Facilities and Capacity
You and your loved one can kickstart your day by tying the knot either in the gorgeous Tudor Barn (seats 115, licensed for 125), which is complete with massive wooden beams, vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls and more, or outside in the glorious sunshine or shade of the trees. After your ceremony (whether it is here or at a nearby church or registry office) you and your guests can make their way to the stunning courtyard for a splendid drinks’ reception. Here, you can chat and mingle with friends and family, sip on drinks of your choice, and admire the beauty of the buildings and venue. You will probably follow this with a delicious wedding feast in the Stackyard Marquee, using a caterer of your choice. This expansive area can accommodate your entire guest list (plus a few more as it seats 135) and can set the tone for your magical day. A night of laughter and dancing can then unfold back in the Barn with music and stunning light-show. There is space for seated guests, a bar, dance floor, and live entertainment or disco again of your choice. With the option for smaller (or winter) weddings of using only the Barn (up to 40) or having a giant marquee in the paddock (200+), you can perfectly tailor your exact requirements around the venue.

Woodcock Wedding 9.8.25
We had our wedding at Sancroft Barns on the 9th August 2025. This had been the first wedding venue we had gone to see and after our initial meeting with Jeremy, no other venues came close.
From our very first meeting, Jeremy was nothing but helpful; giving us advice and ideas of his own and from previous weddings. It really felt like we could do what we want to make it personal to us. Not only were they amazing during the planning stage, they remained calm and organised on the day to make sure it still ran smoothly. The staff have a background/behind the scenes vibe and this was evident in the way everything was carried out on the day.
The venue itself is incredible - the barn has so much history written into its wall and the grounds have all the photo opportunities you could want. We could camp on site which made it a whole weekend celebration and our guests didn't have to travel too far before hitting the hay.
Jeremy and Rachael also took over the communication to the vendors which was a huge relief. We have had lots of comments about how our wedding was so chilled and relaxed and we always say that is because of Jeremy and Rachael. We both feel very very grateful that we were able to use Sancroft to host our special day.
It is evident that Jeremy and Rachael just want their couples to have the most amazing wedding day because they love what they do.

From the moment we first visited The Sancroft Barns Jeremy made us feel at home. Of the venues we visited, this was the only one who felt interested in us. Nothing was too much trouble for Jeremy, he was quick with his responses to emails and got stuck in and helped us on set up day. Celebrating in he beautiful grounds and Suffolk countryside in the sunshine (an added bonus!) was something we will never forget. We won’t hesitate to recommended Jeremy and the Sancroft Barns, thank you so much for helping our day go so smoothly and making us feel so welcome!

Sancroft Barns was the perfect venue. The charming barn is a canvas to personalise, with Array offering beautiful decor. The marquee was spacious and well suited to a fantastic wedding breakfast, supplied by Jamie Lee Smith. Surrounded by fields, and with ample space for glamping on site, the location of The Sancroft Barns is excellent. Jeremy is a fantastic host; thoughtful, meticulous, patient and flexible. Most of all, his easy going nature helped to perfect the atmosphere in planning and on the day. Thank you!

What a special place!
What a special place! We got married at The Sancroft Barns last weekend and can't say enough good things about it.
We had been getting frustrated when looking at other venues, which badged themselves as 'yours to do what you want with' - until you started actually asking "could we do x?" Most venues felt soulless, commercial and 'cookie cutter'.
Then we came across Sancroft. It was clear throughout that Jeremy and Rachael are doing this because they love it. They enjoy helping people have the best day of their lives. They say "yes, and..." when you have a fun idea, and nothing was too much trouble. They are truly lovely people, as well as being super organised, responsive, calm, and all the other things that you need to make a wedding run smoothly. The other venue staff on the day were also fantastic - you'd hardly know they were there if it weren't for the fact that everything that was supposed to be sorted was seamlessly sorted in the background.
The barn itself is absolutely stunning. The rafters, the original wattle and daub, and the tally marks from counting grain long ago, are both beautiful and fascinating. There are so many gorgeous photo spots in the grounds, from wheat fields to wildflower meadows.
Having guests to stay on site was fantastic for us. It made it feel like a full weekend, and meant people really committed to the party as they only had to stumble back to their tents!
We were constantly getting comments from guests about how lovely the venue was and "how did you manage to find such a gem?"
We are so, so lucky to have got married at Sancroft and would 100% recommend it.

The best venue ever
Firstly thank you to Jeremy and Rachel for making our dreams come true for the most special and amazing day of our lives, which we will never forget. We planned everything to the minute and it worked out perfectly, having a blank canvas and being able to have everything there that we wanted. Nothing was too much hassle and Rachel and Jeremy were always so accommodating. We had such an amazing day and we can’t thank these two enough for sharing it with us. 100% recommend the beautiful grounds of Sancroft Barns for your special day and also the wonderful owners.

Truly the most wonderful venue!
We truly cannot recommend The Sancroft Barns highly enough. Rachel and Jeremy went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable. They are the most kind-hearted, thoughtful people, and the venue is a true reflection of their care and passion.
The setting is absolutely stunning and incredibly versatile. Having both the barn and the marquee was perfect, it gave our guests the choice in the evening to either enjoy the band or relax and chat in a quieter space. The gardens were beautifully kept and added so much charm to the day. Everything came together seamlessly, and we feel so lucky to have celebrated our wedding at such a magical place.

Dream Wedding Venue - Beyond Expectations!
We recently had our wedding at Sancroft Barns and can't say enough good things! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful surroundings that made for the most magical backdrop for our celebration and photos.
Jeremy and Rachael went above and beyond and were incredibly professional and accommodating throughout the planning, set up and on the day. Our guests cannot stop messaging saying how lovely they were and how great the venue was.

Perfect venue, beautiful blank canvas
Having passed the sign for Sancroft Barns at least twice a day for six years we decided last sept to go and have a look, when we arrived I said to my then fiancée "no booking we are just looking" as this was the one & only venue we had viewed (still is). We were both blown away by the beauty of the barn and its settings, Jeremy was so welcoming chatting about our options and listening to our ideas, I think its safe to say we liked it, bearing in mind we had no date in our set,within 3 maybe 4 hours we had set a date, booked the registrar and venue. Over the following months we started planning our big day, in February of this year we along with some of our wedding party attended an open day at Sancroft Barns where we met Jeremy's wife Rachael who was just as welcoming & helpful as Jeremy, everyone was astounded with the venues beauty. As our special day fast approached us we arranged times for set up etc, again Jeremy was very accommodating.
Wedding day arrived and everything was perfect, we couldn't have wished for anywhere better!!!

The perfect Suffolk wedding venue
My wife and I had the most perfect wedding reception at The Sancroft Barns. Jeremy and Rachel were the perfect venue hosts from start to finish, providing support, collaborating with our caterer, bar, sound engineer etc., and helping out on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning and has all the amenities you could possibly need for a beautiful wedding. I would give 10 stars if I could.

The most perfect wedding vendor.
How do I put 2 people into words that went above and beyond on the most special day..
From the moment we met with Jeremy he was warm, welcoming and amazingly informative. The moment we saw the venue and met Jeremy we were sold. We knew this is where we were going to marry. Every piece of communication was 10/10. Always willing to answer any questions any time of the day. His expertise helped us organise our day from providing well known vendors to ideas to All the small touches he knew where to guide you to make the most out of your day. The venue itself is just stunning. We opted for ceremony and reception in the barn and wedding breakfast in the marquee and it was beyond brilliant. I met Jeremy wife racheal the day before the wedding. We set up the day before and we ran through every single detail. There is nothing they wouldn't do for us to make it a memory we will never forget, racheal made sure my trail was perfectly laid before I walked to my future husband. They helped coordinate a smooth running day from the moment we got there. Their professionalism is above and beyond. Put our mind at ease and worked amazingly alongside all of our vendors. Made sure our glasses were full and that every detail was smooth running. I could go on and on about how special and fantastic they made our day snd there is nothing they wouldn't do for us literally. Details such as making sure our music was on point for all points of the day to walking down the aisle to the mingling post ceremony. I couldn't reccomend Jeremy and rachael more and I have any further future big events I wouldn't hesitate to contact them to provide the day. An Unforgettable Wedding Experience at The Sancroft Barns!
We were fortunate enough to celebrate our wedding at The Sancroft Barns in July, and we are absolutely thrilled with how everything turned out. A huge thank you to Jeremy, Rachael, and the entire team for providing such a stunning venue, flawless organisation, and incredible support throughout.
Despite living abroad and never having visited the venue in person before booking, the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Our wedding day was nothing short of magical, and we've been overwhelmed with positive feedback from our guests, with the beauty of the venue consistently praised.
We especially appreciate the hard work and flexibility of the team, especially during the initial planning stages when we were liaising on plans from thousands of miles away, and in the final preparations when we had to make last-minute changes due to the threat of rain. The change to host our ceremony outside the wind-sheltered 'Wed Shed' turned out to be one of the highlights of the entire wedding - we can't imagine having had such flexibility in other venues with less than 24 hours to go!
Our wedding was a vibrant blend of cultures, colours, and languages, and Jeremy and Rachael’s enthusiasm for embracing these unique elements was truly appreciated. Their willingness to follow YouTube instructions to prepare a Senegalese dish for our drum blessing ritual was especially impressive. I’m sure such details were never part of their original plans for The Barns, but you’d never know it from how seamlessly everything came together! :)
