Thursford's Garden Pavilion is a unique wedding venue that allows your day to be a true reflection of your relationship. Our venue can accommodate celebrations of all styles and sizes, meaning you can plan everything from a rustic barn ceremony, an escape in our secret garden or even a wedding set to the backdrop of a 200-year-old gondola. We are fully licensed, and as you can have exclusive use of our venue, your wedding will have all the peace and privacy you could wish for.
Facilities and Capacity
We have four ceremony spaces available; our rustic barn and secret garden can hold up to 130 guests, whilst our museum and lawn can hold up to 200. There is also our local church, St Andrew's, which is a confetti throwaway.
Following your ceremony, you and your guests can awaken your inner child, riding on our vintage carousel and gondola whilst also enjoying drinks, canapes and taking some once-in-a-lifetime photographs.
Our Garden Pavilion, a glass framed marquee, can hold up to 200 guests and is a blank canvas that you and your partner can dress in any way you wish so that your wedding showcases you two as a couple. We also have a hidden dance floor which will only be revealed to your guests when you are ready to take your first dance as a married couple. The pavilion is situated in landscaped gardens featuring immaculate lawns and flowering borders, ideal for adding a touch of rustic charm. There is plenty of outdoor space so your guests can relax and enjoy the stunning panoramic views.
Worried about where you will stay? Our Holly Lodge accommodation is a 3-minute walk from our main site. Here 14 members of your wedding party can stay, relax, rent bikes and enjoy a champagne breakfast on the morning of your wedding. For the rest of your guests, we are within 15 minutes of Blakeney and Wells-next-the-Sea, stunning coastal towns with lots of hotel space.

A wedding to be magically remembered by all!
What an absolute privilege to have celebrated our wedding at Thursford Garden Pavilion!
We chose to stay for the two nights at Holly Lodge B&B across the road which certainly was the icing on the cake and made our day that much more special and stress-free. The breakfast included on both mornings were delicious, the rooms were stunning and no ask was too much from the lovely staff, they even had sewing kits and did our ironing! It also gave us a great base to return to and could easily access the venue.
The whole process of preparing and planning our special day was made easy thanks to the fantastic team at Thursford, they were all extremely helpful providing suggestions, ensuring everything was put together and relieving the not so fun tidying away afterwards! Melissa did everything she could to ensure our day ran smoothly and was accessible throughout the whole lead up, setting up day and wedding day to be a helping hand and answer any questions and queries we had!
We felt very honored to have been able to get married in the beautiful barn, and have access to the fairground rides & museum which was a huge hit with our guests, but also nice to have been able to put our own touch on it when we came to the reception decorating the room but with all the hard work eliminated with the dance floor, tables & chairs and bar already in place! We also loved how we were given optional extras to add to our day such as the LOVE dance floor letters and blossom trees to suit our budget and being in-house made it so easy.
We had such fantastic feedback from our guests, how good the venue was and how helpful the staff were, we agree that this day simply couldn’t have gone any better and we are so grateful to everyone involved at Thursford Garden Pavilion.
Our most perfect wedding day, beautifully captured by the lovely and very talented Dan Sunderland who we also highly recommend.

Wonderful Experience from Start to Finish
We would like to start by saying a special thank you to Charlie, Emma, Mel, and their team who were absolutely fantastic with helping us to prepare the venue and who also went above and beyond on the day itself to make sure ensure that everything went as planned and that we and the guests had a wonderful time. It was a grand spectacular from start to finish. A day no one will ever forgot. Even a month later our big day is still the day-to-day topic with everyone. We were all treated like royalty, and it felt so special even though we know we are one wedding of many in your busy season.
On our wedding day we never expected you all to be running the show as you did. It was incredible how little we needed to worry about (if anything). From getting ready at Holly Lodge where our photographer got a surprise breakfast, to Mel getting Kath from there and walking her over to the gardens and setting everything up just as it was communicated (and even better). We were truly impressed by the work ethic and the team spirit. So much that the day after our wedding we wished we could do it all again at Thursford.

Memorable Day
Our wedding at Thursford was a fantastic experience. The team were adaptable to all our wants, needs and requirements and made sure our day was just as we imagined it. Melissa and Emma were on hand to gently and professionally guide us through our day so we could just relax and focus on our guests and enjoy it without worrying about anything else.

We had the most magical day. Melissa at Thursford was wonderful, so helpful and kind.
Our wedding day was out of this world. We felt so special and so loved! I truly felt like a princess. Melissa at Thursford was amazing from beginning to the end. The whole day went so smoothly and it was just perfect.

The venue couldn't have been more perfect, the day went so special. I'd like to recommend this venue. Also had it not been for our wedding coordinators and the band manager we would have lost my husbands mum from very low sugar levels. I was also very nervous on day, the girls were so patient and made sure both of us were extremely catered for. I can not thank them enough

Fantastic!!!
“We had our wedding party here at Thursford Garden Pavilion. It was truly fantastic in every way we could of hoped for to spend time with friends and loved ones as a married couple.
The venue was perfect for having a celebration with the people we couldn’t get to our special day.
Everyone loved the atmosphere that the venue created for us with the rides. We have had so many compliments from our evening and would highly recommend for weddings or a celebration party.

A Spectacular Venue!
We got Married at Thursford on 29th April 2023. We chose Thursford because of how versatile the venue is and how each part of the venue has a different and unique feel.
There is so much inside space to make use of but we had the benefit of choosing the warmest day in April so the outside space was just a bonus for us and our guests. It was so beautiful to see all the outside lights at the venue. We had so many guests say to us that the venue was simply amazing and one of the best weddings they had ever been to. One guest said "You don't go to many weddings where there is a carousel, we won't be forgetting this day in a hurry!".
The whole team were fantastic during the whole planning process and the run up to the day. Beth was our coordinator for the actual day. Her and the rest of the team made the day feel as relaxed and as smooth as possible. Nothing was too much trouble and we can't thank them enough for everything they did to make our day the best it could be (which it was!).

A Unique and Magical Wedding day at Thursford
We celebrated our wedding day at Thursford Garden Pavilion and had the most amazing day.
From the moment we were greeted by Melissa for the viewing, we knew instantly we had to book, it was everything we had dreamt of and more.
In the run up to the wedding, Melissa and Emma were both on hand to answer any questions we had and they both went above and beyond to ensure our day was exactly how we envisioned it. The whole team at Thursford are a pleasure to work with.
After our church ceremony , we had canapes and prosecco in the secret garden, this is a hidden gem, with beautifully manicured lawns and the most picturesque fountain. We then moved into the barn for our wedding breakfast, before enjoying the wonderful, vintage fairground rides in the museum. It was lovely to see children’s (and adults!) faces light up whilst enjoying the rides. We carried on our evening celebrations in the pavilion which offers so much space and is versatile to suit any kind of wedding. It was lovely to be able to decorate it exactly how we wanted it and have the team on hand the day before to assist in setting up. Melissa absolutely excels at wedding planning and was on hand throughout the day to ensure everything ran smoothly.

Spring wedding 2024
Before the wedding itself, Emma was fantastic with communication and Melissa helped us when we had an issue with a supplier (not linked to Thursford), this was extremely reassuring and helped massively. We really enjoyed preparing the venue the day before (with lots of help, advice and support from Melissa). We felt so reassured with the knowledge and experience the events team at Thursford have and didn't have to worry about anything.
I was able to wake up at the stunning Holly Lodge where my bridal party all enjoyed the amazing breakfast. The Holly Lodge staff team were all so welcoming, friendly and went above and beyond to make the wedding morning perfect - even offering sausages for our dog for his breakfast which he loved and was so kind of them.
We both felt calm and relaxed as we knew we had the Thursford team around to help with anything throughout the day. Melissa and the team helped to keep timings on track (we didn't have to think about this at all!) and everything went so smoothly and was just as we had planned (even our very specific music timings)!
Our wedding day really was magical and we are so pleased we decided to go with Thursford. Thank you to all of the staff team for everything!

Perfect! A magical wedding day.
From the beginning stages of planning to leaving (after having an amazing stay at Holly Lodge ) the day after the wedding everything was perfect. The staff are friendly , calm and efficient, and we couldn’t have asked for more from them. The venue is beautiful and so unique.
The venue is outstanding and just magical a“one-of-a-kind venue”, as many guests said.
It has a great mix of different areas for you to get married , have drinks and then have your wedding breakfast. The venue boasts lots of character both inside and out.
We chose to have use of the ice-cream parlour, carousel and gondola which made it even more special, especially as we’ve attended , (and will continue to attend) the amazing Thursford Christmas spectacular!
That’s another lovely thing about this venue… you can come back and visit!
We could also have Barney (our dog) involved in the day too!

Perfection
There is way too much to even mention. From the offset Mel was amazing with the initial viewing and planning explaining all the options available to us and all the little things we didn't even think of. The venue is spectacular!!! We got married in February and the night was drawing in at the time of our wedding, this meant that all the lights that decorate the venue were on and the place was simply magical, my partner loves Xmas so this was the perfect place to have our special day. We got married in the barn which was spacious and yet cosy and beautifully decorated. There were provision s for everything we wanted and the staff were amazing ensuring every part of the journey was flawless. Mel and Emma make you feel like your the most important people in the world, they feel more like friends and will do almost anything to ensure that what ever you can imagine gets done. We booked the rides in the museum for all of our guests and we were also able to have our photographer use the whole area for any pictures he could imagine. We had planning meetings so the photographer and caterers could see the venue and plan their magic before the event.
The pavilion is gorgeous and your able to decorate it to your taste or let the venue work their magic. The whole experience was amazing and all of my guests commented Ted on how wonderful the team was and how magical the venue was with many saying its the best wedding they have been to. All of this quality and we spent way less than we imagined we would.
I can't stress enough how amazing Mel and Emma are, the day wouldn't be what it was without them, thursford are lucky to have them and should hold on to them with both hands.

Couldn't have had a better day ❤️
We got married at Thursford in February 2023 and it was the best decision we made! Melissa, Beth and the rest of the wedding team were amazing to say the least. They helped with everything from answering all my nit-picky questions to calming me down on the morning of the big day.
The venue itself is beyond stunning. As we got married in February, we were lucky enough to have lots of pictures with all of the fairy lights they have at The Garden Pavilion which were beautiful. Not to mention that all of our guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly as we hired the rides to keep them entertained while we had our couple shots. Please feel free to look at the pictures because my words don't do it any justice.

Thursford Garden Pavilion
We got married on 8th April 2023, Easter bank holiday weekend. It was the most magical and special day ever.
Thursford Garden Pavilion is a place like no other. We fell in love with the venue when we first saw it, from the secret garden, to the museum with the carousel rides and the old fashioned steam engines, to the evening in the Pavilion with all the indoor and outdoor lights. There is nothing that this venue can't do. It ticks so many boxes.
It was so different from the same old wedding venue that everyone has been to. Our guests cannot stop talking about it. They compared it to Disneyland.
Melissa and her team are incredible. They are so well organised. They made our day run so smoothly without a hitch. They double check with all suppliers before the big day. Went out of their way to walk us back to the Holly lodge after the big day ended to insure everyone’s safety.

Outstanding
Absolutely incredible place, everyone was blown away by our beautiful venue, Melissa was absolutely incredible from start to finish, even after our wedding got postponed she kept in contact and was just the other end of the phone when ever I needed her.
We stayed at hold lodge, the place was so clean and tidy and was the icing on the cake having our closest family with us all weekend.
Thursford will always have a massive place in our heart. We wish we could do it all again.
