From the very first moment we arrived at Thursford to evaluate the venue, I personally went from 'We'll have a look but I don't think it'll be for us' to 'Wow, wow and wow. We are definitely going to be using the Garden Pavilion and all that is included. Nothing was too much trouble when we met with Melissa, and the grounds and indoor museum mean you are not potentially at the mercy of the weather. Everything for the day is within a stones throw, and also there is accommodation a few yards down the road at Holly Lodge and the various outside rooms and a shepherds hut. We plumped for having the full package on a weekday and we didn't regret it. Melissa and Sophia and the team looked after us very well on the day, (with only a couple of mishaps of our own making lol) I even made a few things to have in the pavilion for the reception, which they were more than happy to accommodate, and also I made up a pre wedding music list and special walk in music for my wife, which they happily played.
Another great feature of theirs, is the dance floor. I had been to loads of other weddings where as soon as the evening music starts you can then find that you are having to have to shout to have yourself heard wherever you are. Thursfords' has its noise cancelling technology where the majority of noise is left on the floor itself and you can still have a normal conversation off it.
All in all our day went by seamlessly, if too quickly,. Everyone in our congregation were also wowed by the whole day. Book Thursford, you won't regret it, so much value for money. Well done guys. -

We got married on 30th May, and from the very first viewing with Melissa, we completely fell in love with Thursford. We viewed a few other venues afterwards, but we just keep saying to each other, “It’s just not Thursford.” We knew nothing else compared. We knew this was the place people were going to remember for years! Our guests are still in awe over the museum!
From the moment we booked, we felt completely confident that our wedding was in the best hands. Melissa and the entire Thursford team were incredible from start to finish. Throughout the whole planning process, every question we had and every little worry was answered with kindness, patience and reassurance.
Melissa was absolutely amazing. She is such a lovely, caring person, and she truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. We honestly can’t thank her enough for everything she did for us.
Our wedding day was even more magical than we ever imagined, and that’s all thanks to the wonderful, organised team at Thursford. Everything ran so smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every single moment. We are so grateful to every member of the team for making our day so special.
We also stayed in Holly Lodge, which was absolutely beautiful. The ladies there were so welcoming and looked after us so well, and breakfast was the perfect start to the morning.
Thank you all for giving us memories we’ll treasure forever. We can’t wait to come back at Christmas and for many years to come. Thursford will always hold such a special place in our hearts.

Well.. what can I say
We had the best day and best experience of our lives at Thursford for our March wedding, from the moment we had the initial viewing right until we said goodnight after the wedding Melissa and her dream team were there every step of the way. On the day the management of events and time keeping was absolutely perfect, nothing seemed to small or big of an ask and we felt like Melissa and her team went above and beyond regular duties to make our day absolutely perfect to us. We had to think and worry about absolutely nothing.. it's almost as like she was in my mind the whole day making sure everything was exactly how I envisioned. A completely stressless experience thanks to the entire team and their hard work on the day of and leading up to.
If we could do it again we would change absolutely nothing, this will be a day to remember forever, and from the bottom of our hearts thank you to all of the Thursford team for executing the best day we've ever had.

The most amazing wedding venue
From our first viewing of Thursford for our wedding, right up until the day after the wedding, Mellissa and the fabulous team at Thursford could not do enough for us, they were friendly, welcoming and so helpful. From arranging an engagement photo shoot, to answering my questions so swiftly through email. There was nothing that was too much for them and the day was beautiful all thanks to them and all their hard work.
Holly Lodge was the most beautiful location to get ready in, and the breakfast that was put on for us both mornings was so yummy, with so much to choose from. They really had thought of everything- we cannot wait to book to stay again in the very near future- and our family that stayed with us all said the same!
The entire day ran as expected, knowing that Mellissa and the team had everything sorted to run as planned, and all the small details we had planned were ate up to perfection, from glow sticks and sunglasses being bought out to the dance floor, to assisting our guests with sparklers and lighters. Even the morning of wedding, replying to my last-minute panic texts- nothing was too much hassle. It was truly magical seeing all our plans come to life.
We both want to thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts for making our day so special. We feel incredibly lucky to have got married in such a beautiful venue with the most amazing team of people.

Dream wedding
We had our wedding in April and having it at Thursford was the best decision we made. The site itself is beautiful and feels like stepping into a fairytale. The staff were amazing and super helpful with the many queries we had during the planning process. We had access to the venue the day before and our wedding co ordinator was on hand to help out with everything and get the last bits and pieces ready. They have lots of good connections with other vendors and gave us a recommended list which we used for our Caterers and venue decor, they worked really well together and sorted a lot of stuff between themselves which was a load of our minds and made the process so much easier! And they were super welcoming to the other vendors we chose as well! If we got married again I literally wouldn't want it anywhere else. Mel and Kerry made the day absolutely perfect and we are so incredibly happy we went with Thursford for our wedding! Highly recommend! Also they have a carousel!
They also have a partnership with Holly lodge which is literally on the same road and stunning accomadation, all these extras they have available made planning so much easier. -

Truly the most amazing place. The venue is so unique and the wedding team are unbelievably good at their jobs - so attentive, professional and just go above and beyond to make your wedding day feel as special as it can be. Would recommend it to anyone who is considering getting married in/around Norfolk.
