Meet the team
Born in Sri Lanka, Larry attended culinary school in Devon, before
going on to train and work under
some of Britain and France’s
most acclaimed chefs in inimitable
1, 2 and 3* establishments.
Larry has been awarded the Craft
Guild of Chefs National Chef of the
Year 2016 and the Fortnum & Mason Food & Drink Awards Special Award
in 2021 for charity work during the pandemic, prior to opening The Cocochine in March 2024.
Born and raised in Poland, Michal Jankowski’s hospitality career began in 2012, when he arrived in London. His first stop was Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, where he joined the team as a waiter but after a few years moved into back-of-house operations and guest relations. The next step was Core by Clare Smyth, which earned its third Michelin star while he was working there. Now Reservations Director at The Cocochine, Michal brings a warmth to our service that remains with guests long after they leave. Passionate about creating memorable guest experiences, his welcoming demeanour is a highlight of every visit to The Cocochine.
