The Barn at Old Down Estate is a rustic wedding venue located in Almondsbury, Bristol. It stands in the heart of Old Down Country Park, surrounded by 66acres of green space and home to many animals and wildlife. It’s just a 30 minutes drive from Bristol City Centre.

An Intimate Space

We are licensed for civil ceremonies, civil partnerships and welcome blessings, the renewal of vows and humanistic ceremonies. The Barn offers a wonderfully intimate space for you to share your special day with up to 70 seated guests (100 standing). The exposed wooden beams, flag stone floors and wood burner make for a wonderful and cosy backdrop to capture the romance of the day.

Say “I Do” Alfresco

Beyond the Barn doors, hides a beautifully kept walled garden featuring cut flower beds, water features and a pergola of seasonal flowers. It is the picture-perfect environment to hold an outdoor ceremony.

The manicured lawn features a classic white pergola licensed for you to get married at one with nature in front of all those you know and love.

As there is no guarantee with the British weather, The Folly provides a shelter from the elements. It's a lean-to structure adjoining the Barn, featuring festoon lighting, climbing plants and a view of the gardens. So if getting married outdoors is a must, we can accommodate your dream, no matter the weather.

A Wedding Breakfast That Suits You

The Barn has a diverse offering of catering options from the more relaxed and informal buffet or hog roast option to a seated 2 or 3 course wedding breakfast. Relax and soak up the atmosphere after your ceremony with a glass of Pimm’s and a selection of canapés, the perfect way to take the edge off your hunger and ease into your wedding reception.

A wide range of fine wines and spirits are available to compliment your wedding breakfast.
