Our historic coaching inn, located on the Lancashire-Yorkshire border, overlooks beautiful moorland views, which make the perfect backdrop for wedding photography. Mirroring the outdoors is an equally stunning interior with stone floors, original beams, roaring fires, the delicate smell of fresh flowers and intimate mood lighting.

We cater for weddings, small and large, with a maximum capacity of 120 day guests and 200 evening guests.

Over the years, we have been lucky to host many great weddings here at The Alma; we understand the details that make all the difference in creating an amazing day. It is our privilege to take care of you and your guests and to ensure your day is exactly as you imagine. It is the most memorable experience to cherish dearly.

You can enjoy your day with us from start to finish. We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and have 9 elegant country guest bedrooms, including the luxury honeymoon suite. We'd be delighted to give you a tour of the rooms as part of your consultation.

We take pride in our food here at The Alma; we use fantastic local produce and cook everything in-house, fresh for your special day. The menus contain dishes that we know work well for celebrations, and they should offer something for everyone.

We have a team of valued and trusted suppliers, from florists to photographers, with whom we have worked many times before. Of course, you are free to book anyone of your choice for these services.
