Tenuta la Chiusa is an enchanting place to spend a relaxing and romantic day among vineyards and centuries-old olive trees , as a couple or with family.

The estate overlooks the Gulf of Portoferraio and takes its name from the wall that surrounds it and encloses the 20 hectares of property, mostly planted with vineyards and olive trees. The main activity is the production and sale of traditional Elban wines (whites, reds, rosés, and Aleatico) and extra virgin olive oil . Its origins date back to the late 1500s, when the cellars and the ancient village were built.

The wall and the manor house date back to the early 19th century. La Chiusa also hosted Napoleon Bonaparte on two occasions: the first time immediately after his arrival on the island while he was at anchor awaiting a full reception in Portoferraio, and later after a hunting trip on Mount Fabbrello.
