Sutton Bonington Hall is an enchanting family house set within stunning gardens, providing individual and elegant surroundings for an elegant wedding day in Leicestershire.
We offer a very personal experience to couples which is different to a more corporate environment. Our wish is that guests feel that the house and gardens are theirs alone to enjoy. The Hall is a very romantic and intimate setting which is available on an exclusive use basis for a select number of days each year. It's stunning parkland and beautifully landscaped gardens make it an ideal backdrop for a truly memorable day with exquisite photographs.
The Hall is licenced for Civil Ceremonies and we can accommodate up to 100 guests for the Wedding Breakfast, our maximum capacity for the Evening Reception is 120. There are two beautiful village churches within easy walking distance of the house, should couples wish for a church wedding locally.
Guests have use of the Great Hall, Library, Dining Room, Drawing Room and the stunning Conservatory which overlooks the gardens. If staying overnight guests have use of six individually designed bedrooms each with bathrooms, this includes the stunning bridal suite - Lady Elton's bedroom. There are many local hotels and B&B's on our doorstep for guests travelling from afar.
Our preferred caterers individually tailor menus for each wedding and provide wines and a bar to suit all budgets.
This historic building is situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Sutton Bonington, close to the borders of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and within easy access of East Midlands Airport and the M1 motorway.
Viewings are by appointment only and we look forward to welcoming you here.

Beautiful and entirely unique venue
A fantastic wedding experience throughout, ably supported by the owners Claire and Edward and their friendly, helpful staff.Sent on 07/08/2019
The hall is a beautiful period building and is full of architectural character and benefits greatly from being a family home rather than a corporate venue. The grounds are spacious and very pretty.
We had a relatively high number of younger children at the wedding and they enjoyed exploring inside, happily pottering around in the four reception rooms (including orangery). When the weather permitted the grounds were ideal for them to let off some steam.
Our family travelled from abroad so we booked the venue from Friday to Sunday (for a Saturday wedding) and the rooms were nice with each having a unique feel. The hosts put on an excellent breakfast for us on both Saturday and Sunday.
Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an intimate wedding!
