  Beyond brilliant - we would highly recommend!

  We had the most incredible wedding at Sutton Bonington Hall, and cannot recommend it highly enough as a venue. We were looking for somewhere that would cater for 100 guests, but would still feel cosy and intimate. Sutton Bonington was perfect in this respect, as it’s first and foremost a family home. The house and gardens are beautiful, and there are several different rooms and spaces which meant that our guests could spread out during the afternoon and evening. We were particularly keen to have somewhere quieter for our more introverted guests to retreat, and the library was perfect for this.
  
  Claire, the owner, was so helpful from the very first meeting and knows the house and gardens well, so she was able to give great recommendations for how to structure our day. She was also extremely patient and answered all our many questions!
  
  Portfolio Events are the preferred suppliers for catering and they also act as event managers as well. Again, we cannot recommend them highly enough. The food was absolutely delicious, lots of people said how good it was, including our guests with special dietary requirements. They were really flexible and enabled us to tailor the food and drinks menus to suit us. Charlotte met with us in advance and helped us plan the day in terms of food and timings etc. and helped us make sure the day went as smoothly as possible and we didn't have to worry about anything on the day. She was really organised and took such detailed notes of what we wanted, and helped us make it really personal and unique to us.
  
  We were able to set up the afternoon before, which meant we didn't have to worry about anything on the day of the wedding.
  
  On the day, Jel and the team were fantastic! All our guests said how helpful and friendly the staff were, and the team made Tom and I feel so special. They brought us drinks especially and made sure we got food throughout the day (it's easy to miss out on such a whirlwind of a day!) There were also a couple of things that didn't go to plan (due to me feeling unwell!), but Jel and the team were incredibly flexible and worked with our bridal party to adapt to the situation and made me feel so supported. It was wonderful to know that we were in such experienced and capable hands, and we didn't have to worry on the day at all.
  
  In terms of entertainment we were able to have garden games during the afternoon, and a Silent Disco in the evening. We also had a Photo Booth in the main entrance hall.
  
  It was really special to be able to stay in the bridal suite on the evening of the wedding - and lovely to be able to just head upstairs after our guests were gone. On the morning after, Claire had kindly set up breakfast for Tom and I in the Library - which was such a lovely touch and a great way to end an amazing experience. We wish we could do it all over again!

  Absolutely gorgeous private venue with wonderful owners

  Sutton Bonington Hall is a rare gem of a venue that is hard to come by. It is grand but not imposing, elegant without being stuffy, with the most beautiful private grounds I have ever seen, in an intimate setting that makes you feel like you’ve come home.
  
  What sets this beautiful private venue apart from the rest is the owner, Claire. We queried dozens and dozens of wedding venues - five star hotels, national trust properties, castles and manor houses - and yet nothing came close to Claire in terms of her commitment to making this a happy day for the bridal couple. Sutton Bonington is a private residence, and Claire made us feel like we were part of the family. It never felt corporate or impersonal, and yet Claire was incredibly efficient and knowledgable about the wedding industry, advising us on exactly what to do, giving us thoughtful feedback on our plans, and to top it off had the fastest response times I have ever seen! Claire would go out of her way just to make sure we were on track and for that we are so grateful. You really want to be able to trust the vendors you have selected for your wedding, and I truly can’t think of a better team to have by your side when you’re planning this special day.
  
  If I could give 10 stars, I would!

  Sutton Bonington was the perfect venue for our wedding day! The venue is beautiful with incredible spaces both inside and out in the gardens. Claire and the team at Portfolio Events that support her were fantastic throughout the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. If you are looking for a venue in the Midlands area we could not recommend more highly that you pay Sutton Bonington a visit!

  The perfect wedding venue

  The perfect wedding venue, from the moment we first visited the Hall we knew we wanted to have our big day here. The building and gardens hold so much character, truly a unique venue for an intimate wedding. We can't speak highly enough of Claire the owner and the catering company Portfolio Events who made our wedding as stress-free and enjoyable as possible!

  English country garden dream

  The most botanical venue with a wall of jasmine in the reception room and spectacular gardens to wonder around in and have your photos. We loved that the venue was exclusively ours for the day and the different rooms such as the library accommodated for every guests needs.

  Daughters wedding

  Our Daughter held the wedding reception here on July 3rd 2021. Government regulations restricted the numbers to 60 and we had to reorganise a few things but the venue were so helpful in making this one of the most memorable occasions. They couldn't do enough for us. The food and service was excellent and the venue itself is stunning. I would recommend it to anyone planning a big family occasion in this area.

  A fantastic wedding experience throughout, ably supported by the owners Claire and Edward and their friendly, helpful staff.
  
  The hall is a beautiful period building and is full of architectural character and benefits greatly from being a family home rather than a corporate venue. The grounds are spacious and very pretty.
  
  We had a relatively high number of younger children at the wedding and they enjoyed exploring inside, happily pottering around in the four reception rooms (including orangery). When the weather permitted the grounds were ideal for them to let off some steam.
  
  Our family travelled from abroad so we booked the venue from Friday to Sunday (for a Saturday wedding) and the rooms were nice with each having a unique feel. The hosts put on an excellent breakfast for us on both Saturday and Sunday.
  
  Would highly recommend for anyone looking for an intimate wedding!

  Elegant venue

  So glad we found this amazing elegant venue for our wedding in July 2016, we had a fabulous time + enjoyed hosting our special day from somewhere that had a lovely, homely, intimate feel and stunning gardens. Thank you!

  Amazing wedding photos!

  It really was a fabulous day and The Hall so beautiful ....We've got some pretty amazing wedding photos! Thanks for all of your help in the lead up as well - accommodating all of the visits that we made prior to the wedding.

  A fabulous day

  We were made to feel so special by the lovely staff, nothing was too much trouble, last minute alterations to numbers were no problem. The chef tailored a menu to our requests, our guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Beautiful garden for photos, exquisite bedrooms, perfect!
