Stately Home Wedding Venues in Powys

We had a very specific brief for our wedding: we wanted to get married in the woods, have the venue for multiple days, and have at least 15 bedrooms so all our friends and family could stay on site. A hard brief - one Plas Dinam effortlessly met. I’m a planner, which means a lot of questions, a lot of logistics, and a lot of “just checking…” moments. Lou was phenomenal. She took everything in her stride, answered every question with calm confidence, and helped make sure the day ran exactly how we envisioned. We were given complete freedom to make the place feel like our own. No one looking over our shoulder, no sense of being monitored - it genuinely felt like having our own home for the 3 days and getting ready there surrounded by everyone we love. No corkage was a huge bonus for us and a brilliant way to save budget, and choosing a mid‑week wedding helped even more. We also received our full damage deposit back promptly, which reflects how fair, transparent and trustworthy the team are throughout the entire process. We had a babysitter in the main house so we could enjoy a child‑free day while parents could still pop in and check on their little ones. Every detail worked. The memories we made around the wedding were just as special as the day itself. We dressed the tables ourselves alongside all our friends the day before the wedding. We swam in the river multiple times. The boys had a tennis tournament on the morning of the wedding. Our friends in the glamping tents all got ready together in the Stables loft. The vibe we were able to create meant people still talk about how our wedding merged every friendship group together - everyone felt close and got to spend quality time together. Some of our favourite moments from the wedding are our parents sat on the lawn with our friends having breakfast the morning of the wedding, or the day-after debrief in the kitchen with those who were first up. Everything was perfect, and we hold so many beautiful, fond memories of our time there. Plas Dinam will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The truth is, we only went to Llangoed Hall to see what an 'Our of our Budget' wedding would look like. But it wasn't out of budget, they had different options available and all of them were amazing value. My now husband and I are a bit quirky (apparently) and didn't want the usual wedding. Morgan the Events manager was onboard with everything from start to finish, and as for being flexible...even on the actual day when the DJ/friend turned up at 12 instead of 4, within 5 minutes Morgan had another table setting ready for him to join the Wedding Breakfast - The DJ obviously planned that well haha. I've honestly never been anywhere where every single member of staff were genuinely happy to be part of making your day special, even down to helping my aunty down some steps after she broke her leg three weeks before the wedding. The venue is well maintained and obviously well loved and every guest was wowed by it. There's plenty of grounds and things to do so there was no need to pay for any extra entertainment and plenty of Photo Opportunities throughout. The rooms are superb, the breakfast, Afternoon Tea and evening Buffet was all fantastic and everyone said it was the best wedding that they have ever attended. We had the choice of an inside or outside wedding...there are several rooms available for the ceremony...we actually chose both as we weren't sure what the weather would be like, but still wanted my friend to play on the grand piano that they have, as I walked in... So once again Morgan was ready to change anything if needed. As it was, the weather was fantastic, I walked down the stairs and entered the Ceremony room to cheers and Calon Lan playing on the grand piano, and then we all went to the 'Bowling Green' outside for the actual ceremony. I highly recommend for all your wedding needs and desires. If you are planning a Wedding definitely talk to Morgan and you will see for yourself how amazing they all are. If you want to feel special, and want your guests to be wowed, then this is where you need to be.
