We were staying, along with several other family members for 2 nights with the wedding on the Saturday. From the moment we walked into reception everything was faultless. The standard of the hotel, its bedrooms and public spaces were absolutely first class. I doubt the staff could have been any more attentive to every detail of the stay. The staff, too many to mention where outstanding. Tom the wedding host, what a polite, affable, knowledgeable and efficient young man. Nothing was too much trouble for him and his team. Rolande, one of the waiters, who made a special effort to keep a permanently full glass of Prosecco in front of me and several other friends. Daniel the breakfast restaurant manager who presided over his fiefdom with precision and produced an outstanding service from his staff. The Portuguese (not Spanish) barman was an act that should be on the stage such was his humour and ability remembering what everyone was drinking each time we visited the bar (in the end we stopped visiting and just stayed in there)! The food provided by the Abbey was of the highest standard. The wedding breakfast had one of the tastiest soups I have ever tried followed by beef that simply melted in the mouth. Not only this but special child friendly meals were also provided for the children present. The evening fare of pulled pork was simple but very tasty. Finally Jane on reception who is the face of Stanbrook and who you deal with on arrival and departure and could not have been friendlier.
Thank you Stanbrook for giving my family memories that will last a lifetime.
If anyone is looking for a wedding venue then this one gets 5 stars from me.

After visiting chateau Rhianfa in Anglesey we were recommended this hotel in the same group. The staff were great, our room 3 cells made into a bedroom was very comfortable! The building is beautiful with some lovely quirky rooms, just explore! The evening meal and breakfast were also of a very good high standard. We were delighted with our visit and would not hesitate to return and if you thinking of having a wedding held in the abbey it's a beautiful venue!
Wedding Anniversary Upgrade
By Stephen, on 15 Jun 2015
We stayed at this hotel overnight on our anniversary, were lucky to get an upgrade and had a lovely time. We were able to wander round this beautiful place, and imagine what it was like when the nuns were there. It was touching to see their plaques on the wall of the abbey for the nuns who had died there. Staff were very friendly and helpful, specially worth a mention was the young man from Powick who was researching cocktails and found time to chat about the history of the place. I know the addition of a modern George's bar is not to everyone's taste, we found it refreshing in comparison to the old abbey - they marry together very well. Dinner was of a good standard, and breakfast full and fresh. Another day there would have suited us well!

Stayed here with my partner looking for a potential wedding venue, they have just refurbed it, it had clearly had a lot of money spent on it.
Staff are really friendly, rooms are very comfy and fresh, food is really really good, we had a 3 course meal on the evening.
The place itself is so beautiful, the chapel where you get married is amazing!
Would recommend to anyone to stay here.

Pefect party venue
By Peter R, on 12 May 2015
We went there for a party celebrating its opening, it's a really good place to party or get married in.
Our room 101 was tucked away up a staircase nice & lovely & quiet. Dinner & breakfast were fine we were only there for one night, shame. Only reservation no swimming pool but all facilities were fine as were the staff.

Our Amazing Christmas Wedding 28th Dec 2014
By Sharon, on 03 Feb 2015
My husband and I were recently married at Stanbrook Abbey and it was truly the best day of our lives, made even more so by the beautiful venue. The Abbey is truly breath taking and everyone was blown away by how stunning the whole place is. We were made to feel so very special by Adele and the team. She took away all the stress and was so professional, organised and attentive to every aspect of our wedding. We had the whole venue to ourselves and our stay in Brides Manor was both comfortable and special. The reception dinner was sublime, the quality of the food is first class, well done to Sean and the team. The drinks were flowing and the staff were friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. The whole day went without a hitch thanks to everyone at Stanbrook and our guests were astonished at the whole experience, from the setting to the food and drink. I may be biased but this venue really is superior and I would urge anyone to get married there because it is a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks to Adele, Sean, Giovanni, Colin and everyone else whose name I forget but please know that you all played your part in making our wedding magnificent.
Thank You, Mr & Mrs Gannon 28th Dec 2014
Best Wedding Ever
By Kathleen, on 11 Nov 2014
We just celebrated the marriage of our son & daughter in law last Saturday at the Abbey and had the most amazing day ever. The wonderful environment and variety of spaces in this venue made for an incredible day. The chapel is stunning and atmospheric. The food was really beautiful and all of the service by staff was unobtrusive, yet always on hand when required. The biggest plus for us in terms of ensuring the smooth running of the day, was the calm and ultra organised presence of Adele who was the wedding co-ordinator and who managed the entire event flawlessly. She is an amazing asset to Stanbrook Abbey and we cannot praise her highly enough. All in all if you are thinking of having a wedding there I would definitely recommend it as the building, staff in general and Adele in particular, all helped make a most memorable day for our family.
Perfect Wedding Venue
By Mrs Ratcliffe, on 11 Nov 2014
I got married at Stanbrook in Sept 2014. It was obviously the best day of my life. The staff were attentive and extremely helpful. The venue is outstanding, unlike many wedding venues in Worcestershire which have a formal conference feel, Stanbrook is so picturesque and pretty. The only negative was the bar, which offered nothing on draft, no ales and prices were quite steep.
My husband and I have since returned to celebrate our anniversary. The venue is going through some development work, however it isn't noticeable to diners. The food was amazing, we both had beef, which was the most tender I'd ever eaten. Service was great and we even received a complimentary glass of bubbly - I'm assuming as they knew it was our anniversary. Food appeared to be locally sourced and was great tasting. For the price I feel it was definitely value for money.
I look forward to visiting again once the accommodation is complete, to experience the hotel facility.
The place is still in its infancy and I think the venue is finding its feet whilst development work continues however I would definitely recommend Stanbrook as a wedding venue and restaurant.
Best day of our life

Got married at this amazing venue yesterday and it was absolutely perfect. The staff were fantastic looking after our every need so we could just enjoy our special day. With special thanks to Adele the wedding co-ordinator there who helped us throughout the day and is such a nice friendly person. Also thanks to the catering manager who is also brilliant. Thanks Stanbrook Abbey the food, the bridal manor and the friendly staff makes this the best wedding venue and made our day the most special it could be :-)

Fairy Tale Wedding
By Robin M, on 18 Sep 2014
Attended a wedding here recently and was very impressed with the building, very gothic and spooky looking especially after dark.
The corridors were like something out of a film set.
Unfortunately they were undergoing major renovations so you could not book rooms to stay over.
