Stanbrook Abbey (Caylie) in particular, could not do enough for us with regards to planning and organising our wedding day. The service was super flexible towards our particular needs and the customer service was brilliant. Our wedding coordinator on the day (Clyde) could not do enough for us, was super polite and very friendly and reassuring in those moments brides need it. Only bit of criticism would be that on the day other staff members could’ve been either better informed/organised in knowing how the day was suppose to run but it was nothing we noticed on the day. More when we look back. This would be something to double check during your handover meeting but to be honest, the day before the wedding, amongst the excitement, I was not thinking clear enough to double and triple check.

If you want a venue who will treat you like royalty from start to finish, this is the venue for you! Our Co-ordinator Jodie from Stanbrook was absolutely phenomenal! She ensured that we had everything we needed, right down to the last detail. The whole process was made with ease. You are provided with meetings throughout, an amazing taster session and even discounts for your guests who plan to stay at the hotel on the night of Wedding Day. The staff were brilliant; they met all our needs and requests. The rooms were aesthetically gorgeous and comfortable.

My bridal party and I stayed in the Outstanding Bridal Manor the night before, and my husband’s groomsmen booked the basement where they played games, utilised the snooker table whilst enjoying fabulous food.

The order of the day couldn't of run smoother! Clyde our co-ordinator on the day of the wedding was so kind and considerate. The staff were professional and worked in unity. All our guests expressed how much they felt like Royalty! And the building! Absolutely Extraordinary!! I cannot thank you enough Stanbrook for making our day sooo Special!! I would recommend this Amazing 5-star experience to all!

My wife and I recently married at the wonderful Stanbrook Abbey. We chose Stanbrook after being guests at a family members wedding a few years prior. We were both thoroughly impressed with the beauty and feel of the Abbey and the kindness and professionalism of the staff.

From the first meeting we had with Caylie, our event/wedding planner, we felt very comfortable. All of our queries were answered promptly and were very informative. No questions seemed like they were too much, and that set our minds at ease. Caylie gave us lots of ideas for the big day and genuinely made the whole process a lot easier.

The day itself was amazing! We were impressed with how we were treated by the staff. Everyone was so kind and courteous.
We also want to mention Clyde, who was the main organiser on the day. He was absolutely fantastic, guiding us throughout a very busy day. A true gent!

We cannot recommend Stanbrook Abbey enough. It is a beautiful place and it will remain in our hearts forever.

We recently had our wedding at Stanbrook Abbey and it truly was the most perfect day. When we got engaged, we knew straight away it was where we wanted to get married. The great callow hall is a stunning venue that enabled all our guests to see and hear the ceremony. We then had our drinks reception outside, followed by an amazing wedding breakfast in the pavilion. So many of our guests commented on how great both the food and service was. Everything was kept to time which meant guests had an hour to check into rooms and freshen up before the evening. Our reception was then held in St Anne’s and again, food on the night was superb. We had our perfect day and we cannot thank the team at Stanbrook enough. From the initial conversations, they understood our vision for the day and made sure every little detail was included. Wish we could do it all over again!

We had the perfect intimate wedding reception at SA and couldn't be happier with the venue and service from start to finish. Even our guest commented on the attention to detail and service the received so that made all the difference to us, everyone was happy 😊

Wow! Honestly the best wedding venue we could’ve ever wished for.
From 2022 when we first booked our wedding, right up to 2025 and even after our wedding, the staff were absolutely amazing.
Jodie made wedding planning an absolute dream, she has been so helpful and accommodating and was always at the end of an email when I needed anything.

We can’t recommend this beautiful venue enough. From the moment we first viewed it, until checking out after the wedding, the service we received was amazing. The venue itself is the most beautiful place we have ever stepped foot into, and the staff were so helpful, especially Caylie who helped us plan and organise the whole thing effortlessly. We have never heard so many compliments about a wedding and a venue before. We booked our Wedding at Stanbrook Abbey in October 2024 for July 2025 and although short notice in the world of weddings, the venue were fantastic! Obviously, the scenery everywhere he is absolutely stunning with plenty of opportunities for photography / videography. Also, every single member of staff we came across during each visit was friendly and professional.
The food was amazing! The wedding menu tasting experience was wonderful and very generous and the kitchen were more than flexible to meet our requirements. Breakfast both mornings was fabulous too and so many of our guests commented on the quality of all the food we had whilst we were there. The meal the night before in Georges bar, the wedding breakfast, pizza and breakfast both mornings were all a dream and I was proud to be inviting our guests to join us.
We began working with Wedding co-ordinator, Caylie, almost straight away and we will never forget her kindness, patience and professionalism! There wasn't a question that was left unanswered and we felt comfortable and organised with her constant support. From answering my endless emails with sometimes repeated questions, to meeting us the day before to reassure us and running back and forth on the morning of the wedding to ensure everything went smoothly for both us, we could not thank Caylie enough.
On our wedding day, Caylie also introduced us to Clyde, who was also fantastic and always there when we needed him.
The venue also recommended a Toastmaster, Simon, who was without question, one of the best decisions we made regarding the organisation, flow and vibe of our day. He kept the day flowing nicely, took away the stress and kept a smile on everyones faces! Guests commented on his professionalism also and credit to Stanbrook Abbey for this recommendation.
Caylie also sorted out extras for our elderly guest, who with serious dietary requirements and a few mobility issues could have been tricky to organise. Caylie did everything in her power to make sure this was also stress free and I will be forever grateful for the seperate food and the extra comfortable chairs that were provided so that my nan could be in attendance all day with ease.
The venue was easy to work with, we visited a few times with family and were able to access when we needed to aid wedding planning and we were even able to get in the night before the wedding to start setting things up.
Another real show stopper is the Manor House. The bridal party stayed in here the night before and it really made the experience amazing. 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, its own garden, kitchen with everything you could possibly need! So much space to get ready and accomodate make up artists etc with its own parking and entrance. The access to the main hotel via the corridor also makes it so easy and was a wonderful walk to take before I went down the aisle! I really felt like royalty and gave that extra special feel to the day before.
Just to add, the larger St Annes room looks like a marquee but has a great aircon system which was hugely appreciated in a wedding dress in 27° July day! Loads of space and the flexibility to make our day exactly as we'd dreamed!
All of the hotel rooms were beautiful and, again, all guests commented on the quality and cleanliness of the entire hotel.
Stanbrook Abbey will always have a place in our heart and we're already planning when we will return! We want to do it all again! A very big Thank You to all! Kate and Blake Ellis x

We just had our wedding at Stanbrook Abbey in June and honestly we had the time of our life - from our very first encounterrr being shown round the stunning hotel 18months ago to our perfect day that went without a Hitch! Nothing has ever been too much trouble, Liza looked after us in the lead up to the wedding and honestly I don’t think I’ve ever been treated with more respect in my life! She was all over everything happy to answer any questions I had even if they were silly and a year earlier than they needed to be asked or worried about she was just incredible, then on the wedding day we had Clyde as our event manager and he was honestly the best he’d appear out of nowhere exactly when you needed him as if he just had a sense you needed something - to the main wedding party he was attentive, kept us and our day on track, helpful, and so fun - to our average guest they didn’t even know he was there he blended in so well - he ran our day perfectly and was our favourite person on the day ever!

In terms of the food in the lead up to the wedding we had quite afew meals at Stanbrook and we have never once had a bad meal and our wedding menu was nothing short of exceptional! the staff were incredible every single one was respectful, gave amazing service and played a key role in making our day go without a hitch, the venue speaks for itself it’s gorgeous and every single one of our guests has since said it’s the best wedding venue they have ever ever been to. I haven’t had a single negative experience and I’m not doing this review with rose tinted glasses on because I’m so happy I’ve just had my wedding - I say with all sincerity NOTHING WENT WRONG THE WHOLE WEEKEND WAS PERFECT SMOOTH SAILING and the wedding went without a single issue!! Thankyou Stanbrook Abbey and the biggest thankyou Liza and Clyde.

Myself and my husband made the best decision picking Stanbrook Abbey for our civil. We were looking for a venue which was able to provide a package for a small number of guests and to accommodate our dog Caesar. Stanbrook Abbey provided all of what we wanted! The grounds are absolutely stunning with a rich history and the rooms are spacious with a modern twist. My entire family were impressed with the grounds and thoroughly appreciated help with any requests made on the day. We really do miss our wedding day so much! Special thanks to Jodie and Clyde who were an absolute pleasure to work with!
