The Relais offers a variety of beautiful settings for ceremonies, receptions and celebrations:
- The Panoramic Garden – offering beautiful views across the Tuscan countryside, an idyllic setting for civil or symbolic ceremonies.
- The Statue Garden – a romantic and intimate space, perfect for symbolic ceremonies, aperitifs and al fresco dinners.
- The Pool Area – surrounded by roses and Mediterranean greenery, ideal for aperitifs, dinner, cake cutting and evening celebrations.
- The Opera Room – an elegant, light-filled space for wedding dinners and dancing.
- The Otium Room – a more intimate setting and a beautiful alternative for indoor celebrations.
Both legally recognized civil ceremonies and symbolic ceremonies can be held on-site.

Our renowned in-house chef creates exclusive wedding menus and bespoke culinary experiences, combining the flavours and traditions of Tuscany with an elegant and contemporary approach.
For multi-day celebrations, we can also create relaxed and informal events such as welcome dinners, pizza parties, BBQs, poolside gatherings and brunches.

The Relais features 15 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, accommodating up to approximately 30–33 guests.
For larger wedding parties, we are happy to recommend carefully selected hotels and private villas nearby, allowing all your guests to stay close to the celebration.

If you want a fairytale wedding, this is it.
Mariela, the coordinator, was an angel from beginning to end. Starting a year before the wedding, she was endlessly supportive, available, and patient through what was honestly a pretty intense ride. She speaks fluent Spanish, and as a Latina, it meant so much to be able to communicate easily and feel truly understood in everything I wanted and expected. She helped with nearly every part of the organization and was a real source of support whenever I needed it. She gave us wonderful vendor recommendations that we ended up loving, and her taste is excellent.
When we finally met in person on the wedding day, she felt less like a coordinator and more like a friend I had known for years, and she treated us that way too. I don’t think I would have had the same experience anywhere else without her. At the end of the night, she even put together a little memory box for us that I will cherish forever.
Sassa al Sole is a gorgeous, intimate, elegant, romantic place, and choosing it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Honestly if you’re looking for a venue that will feel like a fairy tale, don’t hesitate to book here.

Wonderful location with stunning views
The staff is extremely pleasant, resourceful, flexible and helpful, the location is BEAUTIFUL! We arrived when the roses were blooming - the smell and the view was amazing!
The pool area is great and comfortable, the pool is warm.
The rooms are comfortable, luxurious and have all the amenities needed.
The restaurant has an amazing view to the hills, tasty coffee and a good breakfast!
Loved every minute of our stay in Sassa al Sole. And we’ll definitely come back!
Lovely stay and a great wedding venue
Throughout our stay and the wedding itself, the staff went above and beyond to make both our stay wonderful and our wedding magical.
There are many viable ceremony locations at the venue – from a statue garden to scenic overlooks over the Tuscan countryside. Our wedding took place on a hot day with clear skies (30 degrees centigrade), so we opted for a ceremony inside the hotel restaurant with terrace windows open to have shade but still have a ceremony with a view. The rest of our party, dinner included, was fully outdoors, as the temperature became a lot more comfortable towards the evening.
There are many places at the venue that make for great photos, such as all of the views over the surrounding hills, the pool area, and the hedge maze.
We weren’t able to visit the venue beforehand, so it made it a lot easier on us that Relais Sassa al Sole both provides a wedding planning service and has a number of partners and vendors that they have worked with previously. We especially appreciated the legal help that the venue recommended to us because it would’ve been a nightmare to manage getting legally married in Italy as Finnish citizens on our own.
It definitely also strikes us as a place to revisit for our anniversaries.
