Rich in history, it offers a rare combination of heritage and beautifully maintained grounds in elegant, yet understated surroundings. Dating back to the early 18th century, our unique venues are steeped in tradition yet ideally suited to a contemporary, modern day wedding.

Our dedicated wedding team offers an outstanding service with every attention to the smallest detail, while our experienced caterers are renowned for their superb cuisine, leaving you free to enjoy your special day.

THE CEREMONY

Rugby School has its own civil ceremony license which means those couples looking to be married by the Warwickshire Registration Service are able to do so in our two approved venues, Old Big School or our outdoor venue Old Quad.

Recent changes to the law mean that you are able to now have a service anywhere within Rugby School, which then must be followed by a smaller legal service in one of our approved venues.

So you could use our beautiful pavilion as your summer wedding backdrop, exchange rings on the Macready Theatre stage if you love to tread the boards or if you are a Rugby fanatic….why not say ‘I do’ directly under the rugby posts at the birthplace of the game!

Under special license from the Archbishop of Canterbury, our glorious school chapel is available to be used by those that have an affiliation with the school for a wedding service. Pews for the congregation face each other in this chapel designed by Butterworth, and there is enough seating for up to 600 guests.

THE RECEPTION

As each wedding reception is completely unique to every couple, we pride ourselves on having the flexibility to offer everything you need as large or as small as you would like it to be.

We offer a number of indoor and outdoor spaces that can be used for drinks receptions, wedding breakfast and or evening receptions. Our venues can accommodate weddings up to a capacity of 150, or a marquee in our grounds which can seat up to 400 guests. FOOD & DRINK

Lodestone House, our caterers, are part of the Compass group and offer a wealth of experience in high class events. This professional team prides itself on creating special events that are unique to your individual requirements. A range of menu options are provided, but we are always happy to discuss other ideas, use our creativity for special themes or propose bespoke design solutions.

We offer a fully licensed bar service and can advise on wine and other beverage choices.

We encourage all couples to attend a wedding tasting where they can meet the team behind their special days menu as well as sample their choices in advance.
