No words could ever explain how unbelievably magical this venue is. From the moment we booked, the staff were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring. Like many couples, we overthought every little detail, but the team put us completely at ease from start to finish. They truly see your vision, no matter how unique it may be, and work alongside you to bring it to life. Our wedding was filled with witchy whimsy, personal touches and plenty of personality, and every idea was met with enthusiasm, flexibility and kindness. As a lesbian couple, we felt completely celebrated. Not once did we feel like our wedding was anything other than another beautiful love story to be championed. The staff were wonderful, and so many guests, strangers and members of the team shared heartfelt comments that made us feel so welcomed and cherished throughout the day. The venue itself is breathtaking. Before booking, we were slightly nervous about choosing a seafront location, but those worries disappeared the second our wedding day arrived. In fact, months later our guests are still talking about the venue and telling us it was one of, if not the best, wedding they have ever attended. One of the most unforgettable moments was looking around the room as the sun began to set. The entire space was bathed in a golden glow, glasses clinked softly, every table was filled with smiling faces, and for a few perfect moments it felt as though time stood still while everyone basked in the love that surrounded us. Looking out towards the lake as the evening light danced across the room is a memory I will treasure forever. What amazed us most was how beautifully the room evolved throughout the day. It began as the most romantic and serene sunset setting, warm, elegant and intimate, before transforming seamlessly into an incredible evening celebration. The dancefloor lighting was stunning, perfectly bright for photographs without losing the atmosphere, the DJ was fantastic, and the room suddenly felt alive with energy, laughter and dancing. It was like experiencing two equally beautiful weddings in one day. Every single second of our day felt perfect and I would relive it a thousand times over if I could. The care, professionalism and genuine warmth of everyone involved made us feel completely supported, allowing us to focus on what mattered most: celebrating our love with the people who mean the world to us. Finally, I have to mention the value for money. Having now experienced our wedding day and heard the countless compliments from guests, I can honestly say it is unmatched. The quality of the venue, the service, the food, the atmosphere and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. To everybody at The Waterfront, thank you for giving us a day that felt like something from a dream. You didn't just host our wedding; you helped create one of the most magical days of our lives and we will never forget it.
You would be crazy not to choose this venue! -

Where do we start?! Right from the beginning, Ella and the team have been nothing short of amazing! They helped us plan the perfect day, always responded quickly, and nothing was too much trouble for them at all. The whole team helped bring our very colourful vision to life (disco themed wedding 🤣🪩)!!

What can I say… it was the most incredible day! Ella and Divah were with us every step of the way from initial planning til the actual day. The venue is stunning and the food is great, when compared with the food I’ve eaten as a guest at other weddings/ venues. They provided such a personal touch to the whole experience and made you feel like your wedding is the most importsnt, despite being a venue that caters for weddings on a weekly basis! The penthouse is also great- really nice to have that on the night of the wedding and we booked it the night before too so I could get ready. I’d recommend this venue and team to anyone, I really would! I have zero bad feedback, and nothing but positive vibes to pass on to the team. You were all incredible, thank you so much for the best day. -

Fantastic twilight wedding
From start to finish Ella made it al so easy booking our wedding. She was quick to answer questions and was so helpful. Everything went better than we could have expected. The room dressing was superb - done by Jenny & Claire, food was delish, and nothing was too much trouble. Would definately recommend. -

We started looking at wedding venues in February '26 for a September '26 wedding, which is short notice by a lot of standards. We looked at various possible Southport venues, some pleasant and some non-starters, but as soon as we saw the room for ceremonies etc in the Waterfront, there was no question of considering anywhere else. It wasn't exactly cheap, but in line with the other venues while being much better.
We had lots of help with the planning from Ella every step of the way, from our initial enquiry through to the big day, itself. We also had lots of help with additional decorations from the Waterfront's associates, Enhance Events. All the options were laid out for us, with clear pricing, and no pressure to have more than we wanted and could sensibly afford. On the day, itself, our guests were completely wowed, and some experienced wedding guests saying this was the best wedding they'd ever been to. Many of our guests stayed at the Waterfront and received a discount, and free parking beneath the building. There are other hotels within easy reach , and all the bars and restaurants of Southport centre a short walk away.
The food on the day was excellent, both the wedding breakfast and the very well stocked evening buffet. The Waterfront's organiser on the wedding day, Daiva, did a fantastic job of getting guests and happy couple to where they should be, exactly on time, but without being bossy. She also did a cracking job of whipping up enthusiasm at the appropriate times, too. All in all, we had a truly wonderful wedding at the Waterfront and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.Waterfront Southport Hotel's reply:

I cannot put into words how highly I recommend having your wedding at the Waterfront. From start to finish the whole process was seamless, Ella and Davia are an absolute credit to that hotel. Communication was 10/10, flexibility and support 10/10, and both Ella and Davia are kind, professional, and truly fantastic at what they do.
We stayed in the Other Penthouse and I was absolutely perfect to get ready in the morning of. The whole day was perfect and it is due to the hard work, skills, and expertise of the team. Our guests were looked after and - if anything went wrong - I absolutely didn’t notice and I am type A psycho 😂😭
Everyone was well fed - more than enough (which you always worry about!) - with amazing food. All of my vendors were accommodated for, and the dance floor was not empty at a single point (fantastic DJ included in package). So many of our guests commented it was best wedding evening they had ever experienced.
I cannot thank them enough. I wish we could do it all over again ♥️

We had the best day ever from start to finish at The Waterfront Hotel. From the moment we went to view the venue, we knew we didn’t need to look any further and Ella really looked after us from start to finish. We booked the ‘Little Big Day’ package as we only had 28 attending but the room was perfect for our party size and Enhance Events dress ed it amazingly. The food was not your average wedding food you expect but was absolutely delicious with good portions. If you book this venue for your big day, you will not regret it. The whole team look after you to make it feel so personal and special but special thanks to Ella, Jake and Diva.Waterfront Southport Hotel's reply:

It was a perfect wedding and location from start to finished would highly recommend , everything went as planned to perfection from our wedding planner Ella . The room was amazing everything you need all in the same place , amazing views of the lake and the sea in the distance and a great outdoor space with the balcony area. The hotel rooms were immaculate and the penthouse was luxurious. All the staff were very polite and helpful on our big day . We visited many local venues before we booked the Waterfront Hotel but were blown away when we visited the venue would highly recommended this Hotel to anyone planning there big day.
