From the moment we drove up the driveway to Thicket Priory on our first visit, we knew we had found something truly special. Thicket is a wedding venue like no other – a stunningly beautiful location that also feels like home. It provided the most magical backdrop for our weekend celebration, having exclusive use of the venue for the entire weekend allowed us the time to create memories with our loved ones that we will cherish forever.
Having separate spaces to host our guests on the Friday vs the wedding day on the Saturday was brilliant. Every single guest felt truly welcomed, with many commenting on how blown away they were by the venue.
Becca and the whole team at Thicket are absolute superstars. Personable, creative and joyous - they ensured everything ran seamlessly behind the scenes. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail was second to none. From the planning process - where Becca was always on hand to guide us and answer questions - to the day itself, everything was utterly flawless.
As our wedding fell on the 30th Nov / 1st Dec weekend, we also got to experience the added magic of Thicket's Christmas decorations. They were beautiful, and added an extra layer of sparkle and magic.
Each of the bedrooms felt luxurious - like they belong in a boutique hotel! Each has its own personality and quirks, which made assigning them to our guests a fun task.
We cannot recommend Thicket Priory highly enough. The care, creativity, and passion of the team made our wedding weekend truly unforgettable. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for giving us a celebration beyond our wildest dreams.

From the very first call with Anna, all the way from Costa Rica, I just knew Thicket Priory was the one. Even before I saw it in person, which wasn’t until two months before the wedding, Anna made me feel so welcome and gave me everything I needed to feel confident and excited. She felt less like a coordinator and more like a friend, guiding me through every step, answering all my questions, and making sure I felt completely taken care of. During our stay, she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and it honestly could not have gone better.
The venue itself is magical. The lake, the grounds, the bedrooms, the décor, everything was beyond stunning. There were so many details that meant our guests were never trying to find something to do, secret doors, hidden corners, and little magical touches everywhere. Having 35 bedrooms on site was brilliant, meaning our family and wedding party could stay together without worrying about transport. We also loved being able to use different ceremony spaces, each gorgeous in its own way.
In terms of value for money, the venue was worth every penny. Anna and the team were extremely professional, approachable, and friendly throughout. I could go on for days, but I am honestly lost for words at how incredible this venue is and how it made our wedding magical. I truly believe this is the best wedding venue out there! -

My goodness where to begin! Our journey with Thicket Priory was a genuine fairytale. We first viewed Thicket in April of 2024, we have videos swinging on the swing imagining sitting there on our wedding day! We went on to view a few more venues, but we honestly knew they were all doomed - we’d fallen in love, and couldn’t imagine ourselves getting married anywhere else.
Anna showed us around that day, and we had the incredible fortune of Anna then being allocated as our wedding coordinator, the entire staff team is incredible, but there truly has to be a special mention for Anna. The passion Anna has for her job is evident from the moment you first speak to her, she was with us through it all and we couldn’t be more grateful!
Our wedding was a dream from start to finish, the team genuinely make it feel like it’s your home for the whole occasion and look after you with absolute class through every minute - a particular joy for example was being made a baby Guinness within seconds just before walking down the aisle, and tea towel impressively held over my wedding dress to prevent any spills before the big reveal! (immaculate vibes!).
The whole venue is truly immaculate, the time the team put in to the little details is honestly so impressive - our guests couldn’t stop singing Thicket’s praises! - from the legendary pantries perfect for a mid-boogy brew, to exclusive access, and stunning grounds - our guests genuinely haven’t stopped talking about it!!
We can honestly say we’ll reminisce on our wedding at Thicket Priory for the rest of our days, genuinely not a bad word to say about the entire experience. If you’ve viewed Thicket recently, and are thinking about taking the leap and going for it, all we can say is we are so so incredibly glad we did!

Easter Wedding Day
We married here on 19th April and what a wedding we had! The venue was outstanding, the atmosphere fabulous and it really was the very best day of our lives. All made possible by the team that works tirelessly for you. Our co-ordinator was Becca and she was amazing. From our very first meeting she was the consummate professional , delivered on every promise and ran the whole weekend seemingly effortlessly, although we're sure it wasn't. We can't thank Becca and the team enough for their support, advice, thoughtfulness and positivity. All our guests were blown away by the experience at Thicket and given half a chance, we'd do it all again! For anyone considering this as their wedding venue, don't hesitate, it will be the best decision you make

Thicket Priory is no ordinary wedding venue - we felt that as soon as we entered the grounds on our first visit! Yes, the building is stunning, the grounds immaculate and every design choice is top notch, but what really makes this place different is the staff.
What you get with Thicket is an in-built coordinator (not a 'venue coordinator' as many venues have, that focus only on the venue's logistics), someone who you can discuss every detail with and who will go the extra mile for you during your stay. We had Rebecca Brayson as our coordinator and not only was she great in the run-up to the wedding, but during our stay there she was like an extra member of the bridal party. She made all our guests feel so welcome, especially our parents & family, she steamed our dresses, made sure we were comfortable, and kept us to time all day including in the morning. I'm not sure how she managed to be so many places at once!
All of the staff at Thicket are so attentive and friendly, and Anna the general manager was another part of the team who made our day run so smoothly.
The bedrooms are beautiful and all of our guests said they had such a comfortable stay. The crisp/neutral design of all the event spaces means you can put your own mark on the space, and it really does feel like its yours for the time you are there.
If you want a place that feels romantic, has traditional touches but with a modern twist, Thicket is your venue.
It truly felt like a fairytale experience and we'll be talking about it for the rest of our lives! -

Exceptional attention to detail
We recently had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Thicket Priory, and we truly couldn’t have dreamed of a more exceptional venue.
What truly made our experience unforgettable, though, was the team. Our incredible wedding coordinator, Becca, went above and beyond at every turn. Her calm presence, attention to detail, and unwavering dedication meant that everything ran flawlessly. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made every request feel not only possible but easy.
On the wedding day itself, the coordination was outstanding thanks to the dream team of Becca and Bex. Having two coordinators was an absolute game-changer—everything was taken care of behind the scenes with such seamless efficiency that we were free to be fully present and enjoy every moment.
We’d also like to extend a huge thank you to the rest of the staff, especially Maggie, whose warmth and attentiveness throughout the weekend made all our guests feel welcome and cared for. Every member of the team played a role in creating the perfect celebration for us.
We wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend Thicket Priory to anyone looking for a breathtaking venue and a team that will genuinely invest in making your day as special as it can be. It was, quite simply, perfect. -

5 stars could never be enough for Thicket Priory!
We had the pleasure of getting married here on the 21st of December 2024 and couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect day. From the moment we walked into Thicket Priory and met the incredible Anna, we felt right at home. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, the attention to detail is truly like nowhere else around.
Our ceremony was in the onsite chapel, which is just breathtaking and such a special, intimate space. Our wedding breakfast and evening reception was then held in the stunning ballroom, filled with so much natural light, it really is the perfect space for a wedding.
The rooms all have a unique character and every single room is just beautiful, our guests absolutely loved them and with 35 rooms onsite, it meant almost all our guests could stay over which was so important to us.
Aside from all the above, what makes Thicket Priory SO special is the incredible team behind it. Anna, our wedding coordinator was just unbelievable, she made every meeting feel like we were catching up with a friend and made the whole process an absolute joy and completely stress free. She truly goes above and beyond for her couples and we could not have felt in safer hands, all our guests also commented on how amazing she was! She is just a dream. Also, a huge thanks to Lil and the rest of the team who also made our day run so seamlessly. Nothing was ever too much for them and the attention to detail behind the scenes was just impeccable!
There really aren't enough words to express our gratitude to Thicket Priory, it truly is an incredibly special place, a venue like no other! -

The best!!!
Thicket Priory was the only venue we saw and immediately knew we had to get married here! The house and grounds are absolutely stunning and the detail in the interior design is unbelievable. We recently had the pleasure of having our wedding day at Thicket Priory, and I can confidently say it’s the best venue I’ve EVER experienced! From the moment we enquired, it was clear that this stunning location offers something truly special.
Thicket Priory strikes the perfect balance between being homely yet extravagant. The venue exudes warmth and charm, making you feel immediately at ease, as if you've stepped into a beautiful home. At the same time, its grand, spacious rooms and breathtaking surroundings provide a sense of occasion that is perfect for your wedding. Whether it was the huge gardens, the elegant reception hall, the STUNNING Ball Room or the intimate ceremony spaces, every corner of the venue added to the magical atmosphere.
What truly stood out, however, was the team. From start to finish, the team at Thicket Priory went above and beyond. They were not only professional but also incredibly personable, making every guest feel welcome and looked after. No request was too much, and the attention to detail was impeccable.
The team ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing my Husband & I as well as our guests to relax and enjoy every moment without a worry in the world. Anna was our wedding coordinator and we cannot thank her enough for everything she did for us. Nothing was too much, when I thought 'this needs doing' I told and Anna and she had already done it without me having to ask and she did everything with the biggest genuine smile on her face!
The combination of a beautiful, homely setting with a team that makes you feel so special truly sets Thicket Priory apart. If you’re looking for a wedding venue that offers both elegance and comfort with exceptional service, Thicket Priory is the perfect choice. It’s a place that will leave you with memories to cherish for a lifetime.
I feel like I owe my heart to everyone at Thicket, they made our wedding day the best ever, I honestly have nothing bad to report, they did everything to their highest standard and I cant thank them enough!! I am envious of anyone who gets to have their wedding day here in future! I wish I could re live our day!
