It’s hard to put into words just how much we loved getting married at Thicket Priory. Looking back, we honestly couldn’t imagine having celebrated our wedding anywhere else.
From the very beginning, what stood out to us was how welcoming and relaxed the whole experience felt. Even during the planning, we were encouraged to visit as often as we wanted, wander around and explore the venue for ourselves. No visit ever felt like too much trouble, and there were no unnecessary restrictions or rules about how things had to be done. The team were always focused on helping us bring our ideas to life, which meant we had the freedom to create a wedding that felt completely personal to us. We also loved that nothing felt off limits; Thicket Priory is a place you can truly explore and fall in love with for yourself.
We wanted our wedding to be more than just one day, and having our family and friends together at Thicket Priory for the whole weekend made it everything we had hoped for. It felt like having everyone together in our own home, with so much time to enjoy the people we love without rushing from one moment to the next. From the celebrations beginning on Friday to our final breakfast on Sunday, we made memories we’ll treasure forever. The only downside was that we didn’t want it to end.
Becca, our coordinator, and Liv, who was there on the wedding day, deserve a special mention. They were genuinely wonderful and, by the time the wedding arrived, they felt like part of our family and our celebrations. The same goes for the rest of the team working throughout the weekend, particularly the staff looking after us during the evenings. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and attentive, and they all played a part in making the weekend feel so special. We felt completely looked after from beginning to end, and we’ll always be grateful to every single person who helped make it what it was.
Thicket Priory is obviously a beautiful place, but what makes it truly special is the feeling it gives you and the people who bring it to life. We left as husband and wife with the happiest memories and a real emotional attachment to somewhere that will always be part of our story.
Thank you to everyone at Thicket Priory for giving us the most wonderful weekend. We feel so lucky to have got married there, and although we were so sad for our weekend to come to an end, we’re already thinking about what anniversary celebration we could hold there as an excuse to come back! We would return in a heartbeat, and that probably says more than anything about how special Thicket Priory will always be to us -

There truly aren’t enough words to do Thicket Priory justice, or to explain just how much this place now means to our family.
From the moment my partner and I drove up the driveway, there was something about Thicket Priory that felt special. It just so happened to be the first wedding venue we visited and nothing else after that even compared or came close.
We met Becks and Lily on our very first meeting and they really made us feel like we were already part of the Thicket family. If you have the pleasure of meeting Becks you will instantly feel such a genuine warmth and kindness. I had tears of happiness on that first visit, visioning what could be and then cried when I left once our weekend was all over and every dream had been brought to life.
But what made it even more special for us was our two daughters.
They are such a huge part of who we are, and it was so important to us that they didn’t just feel like they were coming along for the journey, we wanted them to feel like they were a part of it. And that is exactly what Becks, Lily and the entire Thicket team gave them.
Every single time we visited, they went above and beyond to make our girls feel at home. They remembered them, included them, spoke to them, made them feel special and made sure they felt just as excited and involved as we did. Watching our daughters build their own little connection with Thicket Priory and the people there was something that touched us more than we can put into words. Fairy Ivy will be treasured forever.
It wasn’t just a wedding venue to us. It became a place where our family felt completely at home.
The whole journey was filled with so many little moments that we will carry with us forever, the excitement, the planning, the visits, the anticipation and, ultimately, the most magical weekend we could have ever wished for.
Becks, Lily and the entire team didn’t just help us create a wedding. They helped us create memories that our family and friends will talk about for years to come.
When we look back at our wedding, we won’t just remember how beautiful Thicket Priory was. We’ll remember how it felt. We’ll remember how welcomed we were, how loved and looked after we felt, and most importantly, how they made our whole family feel like we belonged there.
For that, we will be forever grateful.
Thicket Priory will always hold such a special place in our hearts. It gave us our fairytale, but more importantly, it gave us memories with our girls that we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to Becks, Lily and every single member of the Thicket Priory team. We could never thank you enough for everything you did for us and our family.
We came to Thicket Priory to get married, but we left with a place in our hearts that will always feel a little bit like home. -

Thicket Priory is truly one of a kind. Every room is filled with character, charm and thoughtful homely touches, creating a wonderfully warm and comforting atmosphere despite the grandeur of the building. It feels less like a traditional venue and more like a beautiful home, which made it the perfect setting for our wedding. Our family and friends also loved staying there, and seeing everyone enjoy the house and the experience as much as we did made the whole celebration even more special.
The entire team was incredible from the very beginning, but our coordinator, Lily, deserves a special mention. She was always there to answer our questions, reassure us when we had concerns and guide us through every stage of the planning process with such care and calmness. She made everything feel effortless and gave us complete confidence that our day was in the safest hands.
On the wedding day itself, Lily was exceptional. Everything ran seamlessly, without any delays or hiccups, allowing us to relax, be fully present and enjoy every precious moment with our family and friends. We never had to worry about what was happening behind the scenes because we knew Lily and the team had everything under control.
We are incredibly grateful to Lily and everyone at Thicket Priory for creating such a magical and unforgettable day, and for giving us memories we will treasure for the rest of our lives. 🤍 -

Where do we even begin!
From arranging our first viewing with Lil and driving up the grand driveway into Thicket Priory, we knew it was the venue for us.
We cannot recommend enough choosing Thicket Priory for your wedding. If you're lucky enough to have Lil as your co-ordinator, you'll be in the very best hands. From the planning stages right through to the wedding day itself, she ensured everything ran seamlessly. Her organisation, attention to detail and calm and reassuring nature meant we could relax and enjoy every moment. She is truly amazing, and we owe so much to her for helping us have one of the best days of our lives!!
We booked Thicket Priory for the entire weekend (Friday-Sunday) and I would highly recommend doing the same! The whole team were on hand throughout the weekend to help with anything our guests or we needed, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful it was.
A huge thank you to the Thicket Priory team but a special shoutout to Lil for making our wedding weekend everything we dreamed it would be and more. It was simply perfect, and we're already counting down the days until we can come back to renew our vows!

If you are considering Thicket Priory, stop considering and book it. You will not regret your decision for one second. An absolutely beautiful team, supported by a wonderful, friendly and truly supportive team. We had the privelege of being looked after by Becks and beyond being fantastic at her job, she was at her core just a lovely, warm person who made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. The grounds and building are stunning, making for amazing and varied segments to your weekend. We had reception drinks on the veranda, breakfast in the pantry, evening food in the courtyard and our ceremony in the little ampitheatre by the lake. There are very few venues which can offer such diversity under one roof. I would recommend with every fibre of my being! 100/10. -

From the very first phone call we had with Thicket, they have just been the most incredible team. We had a perfect wedding weekend in May, which was complete with the loveliest, kindest team you could imagine. Every single member of the Thicket team were amazing and made everything feel so so special. We were super lucky to have Becks as our Wedding Coordinator. Becks guided us through the whole planning process seamlessly with many laughs along the way. She gave us so much care and guidance and truly went the extra mile to ensure our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of. She is truly amazing and we cannot thank her enough. Becca and Liv were just fabulous too. Becca made all the bridal suite prep feel completely easy and Liv was wonderful. Liv made me and my bridesmaids feel SO comfortable and looked out for us all day long.
The venue itself is just outstanding - no picture will ever do it justice and each time you go, there’s something else to take in.
A truly unforgettable wedding weekend and we’re forever grateful to the team for making it happen ❤️ -

What an unbelievable venue! Thicket Priory was the venue for our wedding in April and honestly it was the such a special place to get married…the chapel, ballroom, grounds, & accommodation offered so much for us with numbers in excess of 100 guests. We also stayed the night before our wedding, making the most of an exceptional venue. Additionally, the staff were all amazing in ensuring every guest had the best day possible. Becks was our wedding planner and we cannot stress how brilliant she was in ensuring everything went to plan. She was so attentive from our first meeting and made it an easy decision to choose Thicket Priory with it being the only place we could see ourselves getting married.
The biggest compliment we can pay is to say that so many guests commented on the venue, saying how stunning it was. We were blessed with great weather but we are certain that even without this, the day would have still been just as good.
Words can’t do justice to how good the day was but one thing is for sure…we will never regret having our wedding at Thicket Priory.

5 Stars - Thicket Priory is a phenomenal place to get married. The venue itself is stunning; the building and the grounds are gorgeous. It succeeds at being elegant and grand without a hint of pretentiousness or ostentation.
The team at Thicket are second to none. The care and attention to detail they took made our weekend feel all the more special. We really appreciated their recommended suppliers selection, and the care they had taken to curate this list. It made our experience planning even easier.
Special thanks to Anna for making us feel incredibly comfortable and supported for the 12 months prior, and from all our guest who mentioned how excellent she was. We wish we could do it all again!
