We could not be happier with our decision to hold our wedding reception here! From start to finish, the planning side was completely seamless and stress-free.
Helen was absolute perfection to work with. She kept us updated every step of the way, was incredibly friendly and approachable, and made sure we always knew who to contact even when she was on annual leave. We felt so well cared for throughout the entire process.
The food blew us and our guests away! We were expecting a standard, basic buffet, but it was a incredible spread—including hot options like mini pies and mini Yorkshire puddings with a huge variety. One of our guests even came up to tell us that they normally avoid buffets, but found this one absolutely delicious! They also handled dietary needs brilliantly: our coeliac guest was catered for with a fantastic gluten-free selection and was so impressed.
For accommodation, as we have a toddler, we opted for the Family Suite instead of the Honeymoon Suite. It was wonderfully spacious and made managing our stay with a little one so easy.
The Ballroom itself was a great size for the evening celebrations, and the house DJ did a fantastic job—the music choices kept the atmosphere brilliant all night.

Our Perfect Wedding Day
Well what can we say apart from Wow. We had the best day and it was all Thanks to Helen and the team at the Royal Hotel.
From the minute we met Helen and Booked we knew we had chosen the right place. Helen was on hand for every question we had to just helping with advice.
On the day of the Wedding Helen and the Team ensured the day ran smoothly and above all made sure we and our guests had the best time.

We had our wedding reception at The Royal Hotel, and honestly, we couldn’t recommend them enough!
From the very beginning, Helen was an absolute superstar. She was so attentive, supportive and helpful throughout the whole planning process, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Whenever we had any questions or doubts, Helen was always there to guide us and put our minds at ease. She truly made the whole experience so much easier, and she’s definitely the one part of wedding planning that I’ll miss the most!
All of the staff on the day were absolutely amazing and worked so hard behind the scenes to make sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. Our guests had so many lovely things to say about both the venue and the staff, but the buffet was definitely one of the biggest talking points! Everyone raved about how incredible the food was.
We also had the DJ included in our package, and he honestly blew us all away! I don’t think there was a single moment when the dance floor was empty. He did an absolutely fantastic job and really helped make the night so much fun.
It truly was the best night of our lives, and we couldn’t thank the whole team at The Royal enough for helping make it so special. We will forever be grateful and would 100% recommend The Royal Hotel to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue! ❤️

Our wedding at the Royal was amazing! From the minute we originally walked in to the venue to check it out we knew we wanted to get married there. Helen (the wedding Co-ordinator) was fantastic, extremely thorough and professional) and all the small tweaks we wanted were added to it felt really bespoke. The rooms we used were set up beautifully by Helen and her team and we knew that everything would run smoothly so we could relax and enjoy it. The food was really good and the atmosphere was buzzing. The bridal suite was really lovely and we had the perfect wedding weekend from start to finish. We thought that it was extremely good value for money, we had the "Bay Package" and added on the sweet cart, canapés and evening D.J and we couldn't fault anything. -

We had our wedding reception and evening party at the Royal Hotel, Scarborough. We can't thank them enough. Helen, the events manager was an absolute diamond. The level of service we received from going in to talk about booking a wedding until after the wedding was outstanding the commutation from the venue was very prompt and if Helen the wedding coordinator was off work we would receive an email stating when she would be back and as soon as she was back we got a response. There is different packages to suit every budget the wedding day everything went to plan everything we wanted doing or changing the staff were amazing at doing it straight away and the venue is just absolutely beautifulThe Royal Hotel Scarborough's reply:
