The flying fish is a beautiful venue and the staff are amazing. Julie the wedding coordinator is so lovely and no matter what your request she makes it happen. We first saw the flying fish at a friends wedding and knew it would be the place for us. We recently got married on 10/10/2026 and everything went so smoothly, you didn’t even notice the staff they just made it happen effortlessly! Everything was beautiful all the decor was placed so perfectly and the way they flip the room around for the dinner is just amazing. So many comments from guests on how great the venue and staff where and how beautiful the barn is! Everything was perfect and I cannot thank you enough for our special day being so great. Amazing venue!
Me and my husband recently got married here (03/10/26) and it was honesty the most incredible day. Julie was amazing, she made everything run so smoothly, I didn’t feel like I did anything, she sorted everything out!
When we first walked into the barn, I knew that was where I wanted to get married. The venue was stunning, and all of the staff made the day run so smoothly and effortlessly, we didn’t even notice them!
The food was incredible, we opted for the carvery and everyone loved it. Was definitely a hit!
We would 100% recommend The Flying Fish and Julie to anyone who is getting married. 5 ⭐️‘s.

Where do I start? We had our big at on the 11th July, from our very first visit we knew the Flying Fish Wedding Barn was where we wanted our special day.
Its just perfect, beautiful location, plenty of character and charm with a fantastic hard working team that are dedicated to making your big day the best it can be.
From our very first meet and greet Julie was amazing. Very informative, knowledgeable and professional. No question was too big or small, no question was left unanswered, no matter what time or day it was I always received a reply promptly. Above all Julie kept me calm and feeling in control, helped me more than she will ever know. Even with the last minute additions and extra touches it all went without a hitch.
The day flowed smoothly with no issues at all. I can not begin to imagine the stress and hard work that goes on behind the scenes but none of that showed throughout the day. All of the team we still so friendly, helpful and professional throughout.
The food was great, presented lovely, tasted amazing and plenty of it.
The feedback we have had from our guests was lovely, all complimenting the venue, food and staff, it all went great.
Having family travel some way to be with us the accommodation was just what we needed. The space so close to be able to arrive, settle in and get ready without the mad dash from 1 place to another.
Breakfast the next morning with everyone was the perfect way to finish off our weekend. There was plenty of options so it catered for everyone.
The hard work the team put in the night before made our morning very easy. Everything was placed on a few tables near the doors so all we had to do was box it up and pack it in the van, very much appreciated after the long day before ❤️
The time, effort and planning that went into it all before hand was more than worth it. If we had the chance we of doing it again, we would in a heartbeat and would definitely pick the Flying Fish and thier Team with no hesitation.
Massive Thank- you to Julie, Buddy and Team for all their hard work. The day was just Magical 🤍

We viewed this venue on the 2nd of July 2024, and can honestly say we were blown away by the interior when the barn doors were opened by Julie Grey.
It had everything we wanted from a venue and was set up for a wedding ceremony.
We wanted an all in one place wedding - stay the night before, get ready day of, Marry, celebrate with friends and family and guest accommodation.
We didn’t have a budget at the time, but the wedding package was really affordable and the bonus for us, was that none of our friends had gotten married there and the venue truly felt like our own.
Julie Grey is the Wedding Coordinator and no question was too stupid and was answered promptly and professionally.
She did a fantastic job on the day and calmed me down before I walked down the aisle with my mum.
The staff that helped during the day were all polite and helpful and indulged in playing with our outdoor games in the garden which was sweet to see.
Nothing was too much trouble and the food was amazing, catered to many different food intolerances, so everyone could eat safely.
Julie Grey was and is amazing - she listened and made the whole day run smoothly from start to finish.
Buddy and Kate, the owners have a truly wonderful venue and pub and nothing was too much trouble, cleaning and making up guest rooms, extra toilet roll too.
If I could do it all again, I’d do it tomorrow xx

My husband (!) & I had the most perfect day from start to finish. The venue is beautiful and is decorated the way you ask it to be. Julie was so helpful throughout the whole process and is a really chill, calming presence. Everyone on the day was lovely and helpful. The food was delicious. Surroundings are stunning. Compared to the cost of some places, The Flying Fish is very budget friendly. The room we stayed in was nice and lovely breakfast the next day also. Honestly what a wonderful venue, myself and my now husband visited the flying fish while we where living in somerset and knew straight away we wanted to get married there. We ended up moving up North but the communtcation from Julie to arrange everything was amazing, my father had cancer and Julie was extremely understanding with everything with delays and sorted everything out for us to make sure we had the best day. We ended up doing the legal bit early due to my dad's declining health but still wanted a ceremony on the day we had booked, a friend was ment to do the cermony but pulled out last minute but Julie stepped in and honestly was amazing and so understanding and stood up to do our cermony as most of our guests didnt know we had to do the legal bit early. But about the day we stayed the night before and the staff and Julie where amazing, we had arranged for my dad's food to be easier to eat due to added throat cancer the staff had no issue helping us with this request. The day went smoothly even though it was very windy and tad wet, Julie did amazing doing our cermony and the quick turn around for the meal which is 5 star 🌟 great flavours. Another turn around for the dance floor and it was all great decorated brillant with proper barn vibes. We couldn't of asked for a better day with relaxed vibes and nothing to worry about. I would 100% reccomend The Flying Fish, Julie and there wonderful staff to anyone. -

Great day from start to finish
From the moment we booked our wedding it was nothing but smooth sailing. All the staff made us feel welcome and we were looked after from start to finish. Nothing was to much trouble. Venue was so beautiful with amazing views. Food was amazing and the turn around of the barn through out the day was so smooth. Accommodation was also amazing. Very clean and spacious and our friends and family had nothing but lovely things to say. -
