Friendly staff, delicious food, and a memorable day!
Everything that The Bell provided far exceeded our already high expectations, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The venue is unique, quirky, and cosy, making it ideal for our autumn wedding. Since it is already a beautiful space, we didn't need to add many extra decorations to make it feel special.
From our first meeting, the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Becky was our main contact leading up to the wedding, and she was kind and responsive; nothing was too much trouble.
On the day itself, Jess and her team ensured that everything ran smoothly and met our expectations. Our wedding breakfast was delicious, and all our guests were served in a timely manner.
Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have told us how much they loved the venue and the staff.
If we were to get married again, we would choose The Bell without hesitation! -

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at The Bell Ticehurst, and we cannot recommend is as an exceptional venue with an oustanding team highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our special day was perfect.
The historic charm of The Bell Ticehurst provided a magical backdrop for our ceremony and reception. For our guests who came from around the world this was a quintessential and magical British experience and a wonderful destination wedding experience. The Bell’s attention to detail and aesthetic beauty truly made our wedding day feel like a fairytale.
Within our wedding experience, accomodation at The Bell was included for our loved ones and this was tremendous. Each room was uniquely and exquisitely decorated, showcasing the thoughtful design and care put into creating a one-of-a-kind experience for every guest.
We were so grateful that our family and loved ones could stay on-site, as many of them had traveled from around the world to celebrate with us. The accommodations were not only comfortable and convenient, but also individually styled, making for a truly memorable stay.
The organization and responsiveness of the team at The Bell Ticehurst were exceptional and made our lives so much easier throughout the year we planned our wedding. We couldn’t be more grateful. They were incredibly attentive to our needs and wishes, ensuring that every moment of our wedding day was seamless and stress-free. The fact we could have the food, drinks, party, music, accomodation and assistance with planning was our dream come true as far as wedding planning comes!
Our guests couldn't stop raving about The Bell Ticehurst as a venue, with its enchanting ambiance and top-notch service, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
We were also impressed by the top-notch vendors recommended by The Bell Ticehurst, a list we tapped into for makeup, photography and our cake. Each one exceeded our expectations and contributed to making our wedding day truly magical.
In conclusion, we wholeheartedly recommend The Bell Ticehurst to any couple searching for a wedding venue that offers a perfect blend of beauty, history, charm, and exceptional service. We were so pleased that we chose The Bell for our wedding. The venue is utterly charming, elegantly rustic, and perfect for an Autumn wedding. We didn’t have to stress about the weather because indoors is so cosy. All our guests raved about the venue - they were comfortable and had a lot of fun exploring the quirky artwork. When the sun came out, we were able to spill out into the gardens, and in the evening we could enjoy sparklers and s’mores around the fire pit.
We were so grateful for all the work the team put into making the day special. They were attentive, professional, and invested in ensuring everything ran smoothly. We had an absolute blast and so did our guests. The Bell will always now be a special venue for us and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other couples planning their wedding

The best day ever! We wanted a short engagement, we wanted an intimate meal with a big party in the evening. We wanted flexibility, quick responses and an amazing setting. We got everything we wanted and more!! Jess and Becky were complete stars, we had an amazing stay, the food and drink was delicious. Honestly couldn't have asked for a better day. All our guests loved it and they all said they loved seeing how happy me and my husband were, and The Bell definitely helped with that, helping us have a stress free experience and providing special moments throughout the day (the snug, the red carpet walk, the love nest). Would recommend to everyone. -

We got married at The (very, very lovely) Bell on the 5th of November and we had a fantastic time. We have loved this venue for years and were overjoyed to share it with our family and friends. This place has all the quirks in all the right places and we absolutely loved it, and so did all our guests. This place is so warm and inviting, especially in the Autumn, and staff were absolutely wonderful at creating the day we'd hoped for. The day ran incredibly smoothly and we have so many wonderful moments to cherish for the future years. All our guests were in awe of the venue, and the food and we are overflowing in gratitude to all the staff involved in our day. If you're looking for a calm, warming and wonderful day, with possibly the quirks of a few rabbits playing trumpets from the wallpaper, book The Bell. -

We got married at The Bell on a glorious, crisp, sunny, Saturday in September. We fell in love with The Bell when we viewed it back in May 2023. The eclectic vibes and warm, welcoming, and informal atmosphere made it a perfect fit for our big day. We knew we needed an intimate venue for our ceremony and reception for our close friends and family, and The Bell was perfect for this! In fact, several of our guests told us that it was one of the most beautiful and enjoyable weddings they'd ever been to. The Bell and its team helped create a truly joyful experience that will live long in our memories, and we hope our guests' too!
Throughout the process, Becky and the team were brilliant, responsive, flexible to our requests, and provided guidance for every question that we had. A key part of what we wanted in our wedding was for the logistics of the day to be taken care of by professionals, so that we could be present with our friends and family. Becky, Jess, and the team at The Bell, ensured that things went off without a hitch and moved us through the day seamlessly and pleasantly.
Situated in the picturesque village of Ticehurst, it's a beautiful venue with heaps of character, from the whimsical decor throughout to the cosy snug, a room which provides a place of calm during the day. We were lucky with the weather, which enabled us to take advantage of the lovely outdoor space, including the firepit in the evening.
We were really impressed with the organisation and how they set up and turned around the rooms. Everything is taken care of for you. The food and drink, whilst a little pricey, is excellent, and several of our guests commented on how good it was.
We'd really recommend going with their recommended suppliers. Andrea at The Art Bunch did fantastic flower arrangements for us, making an already beautiful venue into something even more special. Yvonne from Crumbs and Treacle also made a cake that was a feast for the eyes and for the stomach! They've curated a brilliant list of suppliers who are both exceptional professionals and lovely human beings.
The whole package at The Bell, including their suggested suppliers, was perfect for what we wanted. And whilst we don't plan on getting married ever again, we highly recommend that anyone looking for this type of wedding, gets married here. Thank you so much to The Bell for helping us have the best day!!

What can we say about The Bell in Ticehurst? For us, it was nothing short of perfect. We'd had a difficult couple of years, personally, leading up to our wedding, but being able to put all that behind us at The Bell, on the most important day of our lives, made it worth it. We could not have asked for more.
We had our wedding over two days - a registrar ceremony on one day, then a celebrant ceremony the day after - and, if you can, we would highly recommend doing the same and staying at The Bell the night before the 'big day', as well as the night-of. Both days were sublime! The night before our official wedding, we had an intimate registrar ceremony in the Stables followed by dinner and drinks with family and bride/groom parties. Not only are the suites and rooms absolutely stunning, it was also lovely that everyone staying on-site could get to know each other, and have breakfast in the pub in the morning! In fact, many of our guests said they wished the wedding had lasted even longer!
The food (we selected the 'Bespoke Menu') was exactly what we had hoped for - it was even better than on the tasting evening we were invited to - and The Bell went above and beyond catering for all dietary requirements (we had a guest who was pregnant, plus multiple vegans, vegetarians and allergies!).
And, of course, no summary of The Bell would be complete without saying a huge thank you to the staff! From Becky, our wedding co-ordinator, to Jess who oversaw things on the actual day (as it was Becky's own 'big day'). to everyone on site, they couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. If there were any issues on the main day - though I doubt it! - we had no idea! The Bell's team ran everything like clockwork, making sure everyone was where they needed to be. The Bell's team was amazing at putting us at ease, no matter what was going on.
Since the wedding, so many of our guests have (proactively) reached out to say what an incredible day(s) it was. I think that speaks volumes.
If you're even thinking about booking The Bell - don't think! Do it! You won't have any regrets. -
