We got married October 2024 and had the most wonderful day! From when we booked our day to the days after, the professionalism and service was amazing. All the guests and vendors commented on how well organised everything was, the whole day ran so smoothly, we felt totally relaxed and looked after.. I would highly recommend Mottram hall to anyone getting married, the value for money is out of this world!Mottram Hall's reply:

This is an honest review about MY experience, but I don't doubt that we had an exceptional circumstance that probably wouldn't happen again to anyone else :)
We booked to have our dream wedding at this beautiful venue in May 2025, and overall we did have a great day (this was largely down to the events manager, Paul and his team who really went out of their way to make sure our day went on without a hitch). The ceremony was lovely and the events team had decorated the St Andrews Suite exactly how I'd asked, the wedding breakfast food and drinks were fantastic, Urban Thompson the master of ceremonies was absolutely amazing at what he does!
However there were some 'unfortunate' events the occurred prior. We decided to pay extra to stay in separate suites at the venue the night before our wedding, along with my parents. Upon arrival, we were made aware that the venue had accepted a booking for a large traveller party that night. We felt that we should have been made fully aware by Mottram Hall that this specific event was being held the night before our big day & we should have had the option to cancel or rearrange our wedding. We felt that given the nature of who they were hosting, the venue had purposely not disclosed this information to us.
We had arranged to have a meal with my parents as a pre-celebration but I was so sick with worry about what was to unfold that night that I couldn't eat my meal, and my Groom & parents you could tell were also concerned.
We had planned to spend the night in our suites relaxing, being in our thoughts and getting an early night before our big day. Instead we had people fighting outside our rooms, hammering on our doors, hundreds of travellers outside the front of the hotel (which happened to be right under our windows) until the early hours swearing, fighting, overturning golf buggies, smashing glasses, the list goes on and on... I spent the entire night anxious, upset, worried, and didn't get a wink of sleep before my wedding leaving me exhausted the next day.
Thankfully the day of the wedding most of the mess had been cleared up, although there was notably still broken glass scattered about the grounds, we had several guests complain that they couldn’t check into their rooms as they'd been told the previous guests had trashed them.
We tried not to let the above ruin any part of our wedding but as you can imagine, it did slightly taint our memory of it, or at least the run up to it anyway!

We married at Mottram Hall 3 weeks ago, what a beautiful location! The weather wasn't kind to us (apparently it's supposed to be lucky if it rains on your wedding day?!) however we have gorgeous pictures as Mottram's interior is just as beautiful as the outside! Staff are lovely, special thanks to Alex, Katrina and Elise! -
