The staff at Morley Hayes were absolutely incredible, from the very first wedding viewing event to our most perfect wedding day, they ensured everything went smoothly. The timeline they provided and ensured everyone stuck to, made our day stress free! We have recommended Morley Hayes over and over again! Thank you for the best day ever ❤️

Perfect wedding day at Morley Hayes!

When my now husband and I went to view Morley Hayes as a potential venue for our wedding day, Carol was great in explaining everything and made us feel so welcome. We knew after that meeting that we wanted to have our wedding day with Morley Hayes. From that first meeting to the day of the wedding, the communication was great and the team were very responsive to my many questions.

In terms of cost, we opted for the afternoon tea package for the day and the Morley BBQ for the evening and although the cost for the food and drinks included with these was our biggest outgoing for the day, it was well worth it. The only thing I wish we had asked for was cheese for the burgers on the BBQ, but all of our guests commented on how amazing the food was for the afternoon tea and evening BBQ. The staff were hardworking and couldn’t do enough for everyone on the day. We never needed to worry about anything which was a huge relief.

Jane, Andrew and their team were great on the day, ensuring that everyone was where they needed to be at the right time. The only thing I would say is that despite me informing staff the night before that the cool bag containing our cake and Lindt chocolate favours needed to be put out in the morning for our venue styler to put out, this was forgotten. If I hadn’t of had one of my bridesmaids check the venue on the morning then we wouldn’t have known. It is minor but I think I would have been upset if I’d gotten into the room and they weren’t there.

We had our wedding outside at the wedding dome and it was beautiful, the sun came out just as I was walking down the aisle and honestly it was perfect. We loved the space in the gardens after which was set up for reception drinks, and we also had photos outside. Morley Hayes has such beautiful places for photo opportunities and our photographer was familiar with the venue so knew all the great spots.

The rest of our day took place in the Pavilion Suite which was perfect for our afternoon tea, and also the evening BBQ which was served on the balcony. It was exactly the space we needed for our day.

We had the in house DJ (Alan) at a reasonable cost. We had liaised via email beforehand with a general overview of what genres etc we wanted and a specific playlist for our rock/metal/alternative section of the night. Alan was really lovely but I think misunderstood what we asked for and was very keen on sticking to the examples of music we sent (intended it to be more of a guide to what types of music we would like playing rather than a strict list). We had to explain that we were happy for him to play songs that guests had requested as he had told people he had to stick to the playlist. However, this doesn’t take away from the job he did and we would have him again if we did the day again. Our guests had a great night, and there was always someone on the dance floor. Alan finished with “Sweet Caroline” which was absolutely fantastic and ended the night perfectly.

We upgraded to the honeymoon suite for the night of our wedding but I think this isn’t necessary unless you’re going to do two nights as we barely spent any time in the room so really didn’t get to enjoy the facilities. Our 6 year old son particularly liked the tv that came out the end of the huge bed we had. There is a beautiful bath in the room too. However, I stayed in a Superior room the night before with my two bridesmaids and the room we had was also really beautiful.

Have to mention the staff again. Carol has been so kind and helpful from that first show round, to the details appointment and throughout, as well as the rest of the events team. Jane for leading the day, you were great. Andrew took the wedding party round to the wedding dome in the golf buggy that was decorated with flowers which was a nice touch. Sally and the hotel team were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble when we asked for a few things. Wendy and the restaurant team were so friendly and welcoming when we went for our breakfast (which was absolutely fantastic). The bar staff on the evening (I want to say Ollie and Jack?) of the wedding worked hard and made sure drinks were served in a timely manner and I don’t think the queue for the bar ever really got too long. It really does make a difference on the day when you don’t have to worry about anything because the staff have it all in hand.

Overall, there really was nothing negative I can say about the day. We felt so relaxed and were able to enjoy every part of our day (which went by so fast). We only wish the day was longer. If we could do it all again we would absolutely book with Morley Hayes again. Thank you so much!

Wedding day

The staff at Morley hayse from when we first booked our wedding day was so accommodating couldn’t do enough for you everyone went above and beyond from start to finish staff were amazing and definitely recommend having your wedding day there

A Lovely Reception

We got married at Gretna Green and held our evening wedding reception at Morley Hayes in the Granary Loft.

We had the 9 option buffet and had so many comment's from guests about how good the food was. There was so much of it it!

We chose to have the in-house DJ and he did a fantastic job. We also had the Photobooth. Again, everyone loved it.

We had a lovely evening, as did all of our guests. We would absolutely recommend!

Easy Going

The team at Morley Hayes were very flexible and easy going - this was welcomed! We did not feel pressure leading up to our day, nor on the day either. The entire team were super friendly! Overall a fantastic experience. Thank you!

Loved Morley Hayes

Morley Hayes was a wonderful wedding venue. We had our reception meal here and they accommodated a twilight wedding to our needs. Jane did an excellent job on the day in keeping the day moving. She also made sure we had drinks and canapes! I was also grateful that Morley Hayes were flexible with drinks and suggested adjusting quantities to give our guests what they wanted.
I thought Morley Hayes were very responsive but pre-wedding I did feel that I needed to keep prompting the team to firm up details ahead of the day. Bringing the stuff for set up was also a bit tricky as there were various events on and we ended up moving stuff around. But overall, we loved our day and Morley Hayes made it very special!

Amazing venue

We had an outdoor ceremony that was in beautiful gardens with lots of space for photos. Cost was good especially for the service we received. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble. The staff were amazing and thoughtful. We were informed about every step throughout the day. We cannot thank everyone at Morley Hayes for making our day as special as it was!

Wedding April 2025

We had our wedding at the Morley Hayes. I cannot recommend them highly enough. The staff were attentive and helped us to create the most perfect day. The food is fantastic. We received lots of positive comments from our guests!

Everything was perfect

The staff was amazing and no task was too much, they were friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our wedding day perfect, they dressed the room beautiful, better than we could ever have imagined, they kept us up to day every step of the way. The gardens are stunning for photos and nicely kept. The food was beautiful and the suites which ourselves and family stayed in was beautiful and very clean. We couldn't have asked for better service. It was such an amzing wedding journey and wedding day with morley hayes
