We recently had our wedding at Hotel Du Vin York, having exclusive hire of the whole hotel and bedrooms for the event. From the first time we viewed the hotel all the way until after our marriage, the team were absolutely excellent. The whole team involved - Claire, Adam, Scott, Yantshi, Rowan, Michelle, Ben, Sam, Christina, Faye and many others - were all truly invested in making the weekend special for us and our guests. They were consistently flexible and accommodating, had fantastic ideas, and really helped turn the weekend into something better than we could ever have imagined. The hotel itself is beautiful, classy and very stylish. The food is excellent, and the bedrooms are amazing. It is right in the centre of York too meaning our guests could explore the city easily. If we could have our wedding again, it would definitely be at Hotel Du Vin York.

Our perfect day
Claire, Scott and the entire team couldn't do enough for us on our big day.
We had originally booked to get married in September 2026, but my partner was diagnosed with a terminal illness in July 2026. We decided to try and bring the wedding forward, and between us we pulled it together in just over 2 weeks.
We truly had a day to remember and we were so grateful that the team could facilitate the changes so smoothly.
Food & wine were delicious, the room was decorated beautifully and the staff who served the wedding breakfast were so attentive & genuinely lovely.
We stayed in a fabulous suite, and that really was the cherry on top of a really delicious cake!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Hotel, and let Claire and her exceptional team look after you ❤️

We cannot recommend the Hotel du Vin in York highly enough! It was the perfect venue for our small, intimate wedding. Everything was exceptional from the beautiful courtyard with opening roof, delicious afternoon tea to the unique luxurious bedrooms.
Nothing was too much trouble for the fabulous wedding team of Claire, Adam, Scott and Hannah - including accommodating my Lego bouquets and buttonholes! It all went seamlessly thanks to two planning meetings and great communication by email too. We felt in safe, capable hands the whole time and would like to thank all the staff for making it such a special, happy day.
If you are looking for a wedding venue in the centre of York, look no further. We will be back for an anniversary trip!

Perfect intimate wedding
We cannot recommend Hotel du Vin York highly enough. From the moment we booked our wedding until the moment we left as husband and wife, the whole experience was exceptional.
A huge thank you to Abbie, who guided us through every stage of the planning process. She was always on hand to answer questions, offer advice and make sure every little detail was taken care of. She made everything feel effortless, and we knew we were in safe hands throughout.
On the day itself, everything ran perfectly. Adam, Scott and Rowan were absolutely outstanding. They were warm, professional, attentive and worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure everything went without a hitch. Their calm, friendly approach meant we could simply relax and enjoy every moment with our family.
The venue itself is beautiful and was the perfect setting for our intimate wedding. The food was incredible, the service was impeccable, and every one of our guests commented on how wonderful the day had been.
Choosing Hotel du Vin York was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Thank you to every member of the team for helping create memories we’ll treasure forever. If you’re considering getting married here, don’t hesitate – you’ll be in the very best of hands

Claire and Adam, what a dream wedding events team. I couldn’t not recommend them both enough. The communication from Claire was a real calming force and everything I asked for, was made to happen. A dream day, most brides had planned from being a little girl. Both Claire and Adam made possible. Every part of my day I had planned out with Claire, nothing was too much of an ask. The hotel itself, has a touch of class but also a quirky side too. And this is what we loved. My doggy was allowed to make an appearance which was lovely and towards the end of the wedding weekend, the staff felt like Family. Everything I asked for happened, my wedding favours were placed perfectly how I wanted and the decorations I provided was everything I could’ve dreamt of and more. -

I cannot rate this venue highly enough and that is mainly down to the wonderful team. Claire, Adam, Scott and their colleagues were just amazing. We had very definite ideas when it came to our wedding and they dealt with this in such a friendly, professional way even when it was difficult to achieve! They could not have been more patient and their hard work made our day unbelievably special and we would not have changed a thing. The food & wine were fabulous and the hotel is such a beautiful, intimate setting. We look forward to seeing everyone again on our 1st anniversary, although I'm sure we will be back before then! Thank you Hotel Du Vin for an unforgettable day. -

I work in the wedding industry as a performer and have attended countless weddings over the last 15 years, so when it came to my own, I knew exactly what I wanted. Which was a small wedding, good food, great wine and no fuss!
I received all this, and more at Hotel Du Vin. The staff were all excellent, a real personal touch to the day and they couldn't do enough for us. They made the whole process so easy and slick and the day went by without any issues at all.
Having our dog with us on the day was the icing on the cake. She was well fed with sausages and made friends with the other gorgeous dogs that were staying in the hotel.
We cannot wait to come back for our anniversary and relive the day.

Really, all of the staff were fantastic. Abbie, Scott, Yasi, and the rest of the team were absolutely amazing and helped make our day even more special. The quality of the food was outstanding, and all of our guests were extremely impressed. The arancini and the beef were simply superb.
I genuinely cannot find a single fault. Throughout the entire process, everyone treated us with kindness, professionalism, patience, and flexibility. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and we are incredibly grateful for everything they did to make our wedding so memorable.
The venue itself is elegant and beautiful, providing the perfect setting for a special occasion. We truly can't thank the team enough and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional venue and service. -
