We had the pleasure of meeting Adam and Jade a couple weeks prior to our wedding day. Instantly, these two made us feel completely at ease and relaxed about our big day. With your wedding day approaching, there is so much anxiety and worry about how the day will go. Luckily, we had two incredibly professional, kind, funny and warming people to ensure us they would make sure our day went smoothly.
Our wedding day couldn't have gone better. The staff did everything possible to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and it was stress free. They were attentive, involved and completely focused on our vision. Not only was the service and food amazing, but the staff did above and beyond. They brought humour and love into the wedding from their side, which just optimised our love and happiness even more.
The venue itself left us and our guests speechless. We had 70 day guests, and 80 night. You'd expect the venue to feel a little crowded, but the space goes so far. We couldn't recommend the hotel du vin more. For anyone booking this as their wedding venue, you're in great hands. The rooms were exceptional. So much space for the bridal party, and delicious food with staff there 24/7. Once the music ended, we were also allowed to stay at the bar drinking until whenever we wanted. For your wedding day, this is all you could ask for and adds to the fun.
We don't have enough words to thank the staff at the hotel du vin in York, for making our day so incredibly special and unique. They saw our vision and completely transformed the hotel into everything we could have imagined. Not to mention, how punctual the staff were with turning the room around for the evening. Exceptional service all around.

As soon as we looked around Hotel Du Vin, we knew it was the perfect venue for our Autumn wedding. It has such a warm, cosy feel and we knew this was exactly what we were looking for. And then the wedding day itself completely exceeded our expectations further. The day ran so smoothly start to finish thanks to the incredible staff at Hotel Du Vin. All the staff were so friendly, attentive and genuinely cared about making our day so special. Adam and Scott in particular on the day were amazing, as well as many others. We felt so reassured that our guests and ourselves were well looked after throughout the day.
The food was incredible and the chefs were so accommodating allowing us to change canapé options which we really appreciated. All our guests were so impressed with the food and it was nice to have options too.
Our evening reception was definitely a highlight of our day. The bistro area of the hotel was transformed in to an incredible party space to accommodate for our 70 guests. It was a night to remember! We are so grateful for the team at Hotel Du Vin for helping to make our day so special. -

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue or a more supportive team. From our very first visit, we felt completely at ease and in safe hands.
A huge thank you to Jade, our wedding coordinator, who was simply amazing from start to finish. She was always quick to respond, incredibly organised, and genuinely cared about making our day perfect. No question was ever too small, and she guided us through every detail with patience and calm.
On the day itself, Adam and Scott were absolute stars. They kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes so we didn’t have to think about a thing. Both were friendly, professional, and totally on top of every detail—we knew we could just relax and enjoy ourselves, and that’s exactly what we did.
The whole team made us feel so looked after, and we’ve had so many compliments from guests about the venue and how seamless the day felt. It really was the best day of our lives, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it happen.
If you're looking for a venue with a brilliant team who genuinely care about your day, we couldn't recommend this place more highly. -

I was recommended to visit the hotel du vin York by its sister hotel. We wanted somewhere that was dog friendly and could cater for a small group. We messaged the wedding coordinator that appeared friendly on emails and when we met her she was lovely and very helpful. We had 3 different wedding coordinators and each time when planning the wedding it changed it worried me but each one was lovely and they had handed over all our requests really well to the person taking over. This also meant we came to view the venue quite a few times which was nice.
We arrived the day before the wedding and met Adam and Yanshee who I cannot thank enough for how amazing they made our day. From the moment we got there they made us feel relaxed and welcome like they couldn’t do enough for us. All the staff were lovely bar staff, reception and waiters all made a big fuss of our dog and were always on hand to help for anything we needed. The day went by so fast and was perfect from start to finish. They set the room up perfectly how I envisioned. It was very very hot day and we had a homemade cake so they were brilliant storing it in the fridge until we wanted to cut it for a photo then put it back in until we was ready to eat it. We got to take so much home because they stored it in the fridge for us. The food was really nice and there was so much left over I wish I could have made a doggy bag full 😂. We made our own playlist on an iPad and with the help of Yanshee connected it through there speakers and everything played when we wanted it to. Adam came and got me the bride when it was time to walk down the aisle and everyone was so wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and bright and quirky inside. We had a very unconventional wedding and the staff fully understood everything we asked for. Even though it is an upper market place the staff are down to earth and not overly formal which is just what me and my husband wanted. Our suite was wonderful.
I wish I could do it all again.
Thanks to everyone at hotel du vin. I would recommend anyone wanting a smallish wedding in York to go there. -

We had the most amazing day at hotel du vin York on 04.05.25 for our wedding it was perfect from start to finish the staff were amazing as was the venue & the food. We had guests that had travelled for the occasion & they stayed for 3 nights & had the best time ( we stayed the night before the wedding & the night of it was perfect ) the staff made us feel so special & did everything they possibly could to make the day perfect for us we can’t recommend enough & also the in house DJ did an amazing job nothing was too much trouble for anyone 🥰..Hotel Du Vin York's reply:

We had our wedding at Hotel du Vin in York, and it was everything we hoped for and more! From start to finish, the staff were absolutely lovely, making all of us feel so welcome and special. Planning the day was a breeze—nothing was too much trouble, and every request I had was met with enthusiasm and flexibility.
The food was fantastic, with a great menu that catered to a range of tastes and budgets.
The hotel itself has such a unique aesthetic—intimate yet still with a sense of grandeur—which was exactly what we were after. Even with our smaller wedding, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves, and I can imagine that the same sense of exclusivity would come through for larger weddings too.
It was also budget-friendly without feeling like we compromised on quality. I would absolutely recommend Hotel du Vin in York for a wedding or special event—it was a perfect venue for our day! -

We got married here last week and had the day of dreams, from the moment we checked in the night before right up until the day we checked out the staff could not do enough for us. The accommodation is stunning, the food was exceptional and the staff are the best people we could have ever asked for looking after us for such a special moment in our life. I felt sad to leave after the most magical couple of days and have already bugged my husband to book for us to come back again before Christmas! A special thanks to Scott for being like an extended family member looking after us, helping wherever he could and calming the nerves on the big day. Kate for being wonderful on our menu tasting visit and on our wedding day ensuring the day was seamless. Adam, for being so kind, calming, helpful and professional. Michelle in the bistro for being excellent with our daughter and couldn't do enough for us. Ben behind the bar and every other member of staff who was there whilst we were, you were all so wonderful! Our day was better than we could have ever imagined and if we had to do it all over again we would choose Hotel du Vin, York!
