We turned our wedding around in 6 weeks due to a family member's ill health. We were thrilled that our venue of choice, The Dome at Hotel Du Vin, was available on the date we wanted.
The staff were unreal, so attentive and went above and beyond leading up to, during and after our wedding day. The evening before the wedding I was expecting to set up the room myself with all the table decorations etc, when I arrived, the lady running our event just asked how I wanted everything and said she was booked to do all that for me. I was absolutely thrilled and could go home, have a bath and relax instead, which was a game-changer.
When I arrived the next morning to deliver the cake, the Dome was decorated so beautifully, much better than I could have managed myself. I was blown away.
On the day I arrived for hair and make-up in our beautiful room, it was so calm and stress-free, we couldn't have asked for more.
The wedding reception was just beautiful. The food was exquisite and the service between courses was impeccably choreographed. Our wedding guests said it was the best wedding breakfast they had ever had.
We finished the day off with a very comfortable night's sleep in a stunning suite.
We are hugely grateful to the whole team at Hotel Du Vin for making our day so very special for our guests and us. If you are looking for a central Brighton wedding venue close to the beach, then we would highly recommend Hotel Du Vin.
All of the staff are amazing and will make sure you are very well looked after indeed.

I will start with the negatives first. Considering all of the planning we did with this hotel the attention to detail was severely lacking.
We had emailed the hotel so many times telling them exactly what we wanted but we found on the day some of this was missing.
We had paid £150 to have a person working the bar in the room we hired, we didn't see anyone on the bar at all. Instead the lady who decorated the room stepped in.
We had asked for non alcoholic drinks to be served for the toast, this didn't happen instead just prosecco and coca cola.
We had asked for non alcoholic drinks to be served with the meal, instead guests just had water.
Tea/coffee and truffles didn't get served after the dinner.
When I mentioned these points to the hotel they said that guests should of asked for these. Bizzare.
No romantic extras in the room, considering the room was £600 a night they could of added a bottle of prosecco on arrival or after the wedding.
The hotel was and food where great. The wedding lady who helped set up the room was really good. Just be aware of these small things being missed. -

Charlotte Sent on 02/03/2026Our perfect Brighton wedding in the heart of the city
We got married in May 2025 after 25+ years' together. It was such a perfect day!
We looked at a lot of different venues and, to be honest, we didn't think Hotel du Vin would be within our price range but we were very pleasantly surprised. And they didn't have a crazy difference between a summer and off-season wedding, a weekend or midweek. We got married on a Saturday in May and we booked it about 10 months before.
The venue itself is perfectly situated (about 5 minutes walk from the Registry Office and directly opposite a lovely bit of the beach) and very stylish and elegant. I don't think you'll get many nicer spaces than the Dome Room for a large wedding. It just has a natural grandeur. We had 50 guests for the 3 course wedding breakfast, and another 70 plus band for the evening do and that made for a great party atmosphere with space for tables and dancing.
Food? We picked the lowest level of the three course menu and it was all absolutely excellent with plenty of options for vegans and flexibility for picky the odd picky eater if need be. The evening buffet was also great though I didn't get to eat much of it!
Booze? Wine with the set meal was absolutely plenty and I think they threw in an extra glass of fizz as a special offer at the time. The venue worked with us to decide on how much beer and wine to include for the evening - they were more conservative than us! - but we added a bit more on the day. And the small paying bar served lots of different options. Agata the events manager and the staff were so responsive on the day, repeatedly checking that we wanted to stop free booze, where to put it, etc.
Guests at hotel? You can have the Dome till 11.30 but we booked the 11 rooms above so we were able to keep the music going to 12.30. We paid upfront and then got friends and family who wanted to stay there to pay us. This was quite complex to organise but meant we had lots of time to party - which was one of the things we really wanted. Rooms are not cheap so it's only an option for guests who have the income or who are happy to splash out. There are lots of other options locally.
Decorations - we used one of the companies that Hotel du Vin recommended who added drapes and lights. Wollstonbury. They were great and reasonable. Table wise, they have lots of layout options and it is just up to you. I was so thrilled with how it all looked on the day.
Music - the hotel worked with the band to sort out get in and set up during the turnaround. When the band finished we used the hotel's big speaker and it was completely fine for the disco
Cake, Flowers, etc. Again, the hotel were really flexible and accommodating and we gave their numbers to the cake and flower suppliers and they sorted out delivery times with them.
We honestly had the best day and the whole team at Hotel du Vin made the whole process about as enjoyable as I imagine organising a big wedding can be! I can't recommend it highly enough. Get in touch with them and organise a visit. They will quote you quickly too.

Our wedding at Hotel Duv Vin was perfect, we loved every bit of it. From planning to on the day staff who were incredible. They even made sure we both ate in the evening and didn’t miss the buffet and saved us cake when we didn’t think to. The food was absolutely spot on and we didn’t hear of a single issue with anybody’s food. I’d highly recommend getting married at the Hotel Du Vin in Brighton. -

We had our wedding reception at the Dome, Brighton Hotel Du Vin in November 2025, and it was absolutely exquisite. Laura, Katie and the whole events team were exceptional and made the whole day spectacular for us.
The evening before the wedding I dropped off all of the event decorations and the following morning, when I dropped off the cake, the room was dressed perfectly, just as I envisioned!
Our wedding breakfast was exquisite. The food was absolutely delicious, so many of our guests have said it was the best wedding food they have had. The service was impeccably timed too, the course service was beautifully choreographed. The team really know what they are doing when it comes to food service.
We had the Beachy Head room for the duration, which was very luxurious and comfortable. I had my hair and makeup done in the room prior to the photos and ceremony with my daughter, which made the day really relaxed and chilled.
The seaside location was just perfect for the photographs we wanted. We were lucky and had a bright & sunny day, but had we needed a Plan B, the hotel would have been ideal too.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Hotel Du Vin who had a hand in making the day so fabulous. We really appreciate it and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone considering a central Brighton Wedding.

hey, HDV Brighton was a great choice.
I work in the industry and I know how difficult those functions are stressful and time planning and consuming.
Dewi and his team were challenged with my requests, but nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and tasty, got to be honest, they exceeded my expectations, but it is important to keep it simple.
They know what they are doing and got Jenny - my wedding coordinator on my side to liaise so it is easier.
The room itself is sterile. no need to explain that you have to decorate it and light it up - it is add cost on your side, but it is worth it.
Here the room in video how it looks.... enjoy and you should trust them and go for it. I have done my research due to the fact that I am a caterer myself and those are the best value to money and location / overall experience.
other places are pricey and old fashion, too expensive and fancy food,
You got to be honest with yourself and keep it simple, traditional and they can do the ceremony too... so why going elsewhere... well done guys at HDV
