The Perfect Lake District Wedding Venue
We just got married at Holbeck Ghyll and had the most incredible experience. The venue is stunning and the perfect Lake District atmosphere with a gorgeous view and quintessential English country house interior. The staff were friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure us and our guests were taken care of throughout our stay.
Our wedding coordinator Caleigh was exceptional and made the whole planning process a breeze. She was such a calming, organised and warm presence on the day and really ensured that everything went exactly how we had planned it. Having exclusive use of the hotel was perfect for the small intimate wedding we had. The food was incredible and is something that our guests have been raving about since.
Holbeck Ghyll is truly the perfect Lake District wedding venue and we can’t wait to visit again in years to come. Thank you for creating such a perfect wedding day, one which we will truly cherish for life! -

Home from home in the Lake District
We recently had the pleasure of getting married at Holbeck Ghyll and each and everyone of our guests and suppliers also agreed it really was a pleasure. We decided to have exclusive use of the house for two days to make sure all of our family and friends felt relaxed and had time to enjoy our wedding, it was the best decision. We had the most amazing few days and really felt like we had all of our favourite people at our home, the team looked after us all so well and went above to make sure that our time was special. They also made sure that both days had a different feel to them and the first day being much more relaxed and then more formal on the wedding day which is exactly what we asked for. We found Holbeck Ghyll and booked before they had completed their new wedding and events space ‘the view’, the house, location, views and friendly welcome we got each time sealed the deal. Cayleigh the wedding planner has been so fantastic, honestly she is made to be a wedding planner. So organised, friendly, helpful and able to suggest all the different options to find what works best for you. There are some reviews online that really don’t like some of the rooms decor, which is dated in places, but this doesn’t take away from all of the wonderful things that Holbeck offers. Perfect Wedding venue
We recently got married here and Kayleigh and the staff were so lovely , scenery was stunning for pictures and set up ran super smooth.
Food was delicious but drinks were a little pricey
We would recommend this beautiful venue for your Wedidng , rooms were clean and beautiful, small updates needed in some but still recommendedHolbeck Ghyll Country House Hotel's reply:
