Perfect New Years Eve 2025 Wedding
We had our wedding in this fabulous place on NYE 2025. It is a beautiful old traditional building in the most wonderful lake side location.
The wedding coordinators Hannah and Mathilda looked after us with so much care and attention, before, during and after our wedding.
We had a number of visits and meetings before hand and nothing was too much trouble for them.
We attended an Open Day where we got to look at every room in the hotel. This assured us all our guests were getting a quality room to stay in.
The bridal suite is exceptional, the four poster bed, comfy arm chairs, lots of space for the wedding morning hair and makeup. Plus the views of the lake and fells from two side of the room were amazing.
The food is impressive and delicious, starting with the pre wedding night Italian buffet, we booked for all our guests. Then the wedding day canapés, main meal and evening hot buffet were all served with precision. All our guests booked told us how much they’d enjoyed the food, which was indeed superb.
I was very nervous and anxious in the lead up to our wedding but on our arrival at venue, we were met with a hug from Stacey the Hotel Manager and Hannah and Mathilda.
That meant so much, after that we felt totally welcome and at home. We relaxed from that moment and had the most perfect four days there.
Stacey runs a wonderful hotel, where every member of the Cragwood team was friendly and helpful to us and all our guests.

We had our wedding here nov 25 and we couldn’t have chosen a better venue for us! The wedding team went above and beyond on multiple occasions from the first visit all the way to our big day. Communication was always prompt and clear. The food was exceptional and all the staff were wonderful to our guests, we keep hearing stories of positive interactions our guests had. The grounds provided a beautiful and whimsical backdrop for our pictures, with so many angles and corners that make every picture look stunning, even on a foggy day. There is a reason this team keeps receiving awards for their fantastic work ! If you are considering the Cragwood for your special day - we d say do it! Say yes to this venue and team -

Beautiful Venue with breathtaking views of lake Windermere
What an amazing wedding venue. We did the just us package but invited 9 guests. The hotel and grounds are beautiful with stunning views over lake windermere which creates a beautiful backdrop for photographs, The rooms were lovely, clean and bright, the building oozed character and charm and the food was some of the best we’ve tasted, we’ll definitely be returning customers hopefully for our 1st wedding anniversary, -

The most beautiful place!
We recently had our intimate wedding at Cragwood Country House Hotel, it was the most amazing day. Hannah, Holly & all of the staff went above & beyond to make our day special! The grounds which Cragwood is set on is stunning, with its own private jetty it’s just perfect. We had a private cruise booked through the hotel, it was just so simple & easy to sort with Hannah & Holly! Our guests absolutely loved it from start to finish! -

We could not recommend Cragwood Country House and the team highly enough. They were all absolutely brilliant, from the lovely ladies that clean the bedrooms, to the chefs that produced food so good, our guests photographed it, to the waiters and waitresses that ran their legs off for us all, to the fabulous scenery, gorgeous bedrooms, and finally, Hannah the Planner! What a legend, that woman can coordinate! We have honestly had the best day of our lives at Cragwood, was an absolute blast, loved it! The most amazing weekend made possible by everyone at the Cragwood. We booked the hotel for exclusive use (23 rooms, 60 guests at the wedding) from Friday night to Sunday and it was a great decision, as we had time to relax with our guests on Friday night before the big day on Saturday. We chose to get married outside, with views across Lake Windermere and mountains behind us and the weather was stunning. The itinerary, all organised by Stacy and Hannah, ran incredibly smoothly and I felt I could relax and enjoy myself on the day. We had the Fairfield package, and the food was excellent (and they were spot on in accommodating dietary requirements too). In the evening, we chose to hire a boat (again, organised by the Cragwood) for a one hour cruise - you can access the lake directly from the hotel grounds - can’t recommend this highly enough! The hotel itself has stunning grounds, beautiful historical features, lots of smaller lounges for guests to relax in if they don’t want to be on the dance floor and the views are phenomenal. We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary. Thank you so much! -

Fantastic stay and location
Escaped here for an elopement wedding , Hannah was our point of contact from the start and this was al done via email . When we arrived the day before everything was in place as per email and we were not disappointed with our room.
The day went smoothly and there were no issues at all , Hannah had delivered what was set out and we were over the moon with everything.
Food was excellent, rooms and house was immaculately clean and the staff were beyond generous in their time and manners .
Can’t wait to return for a chill out wk end .
Well done cragwood and Hannah is a credit to the place .
