We're from California, and the entire Borthwick team made it so easy for us to have exactly the experience we wanted. The castle itself is amazing (cannonball scars!) but it was the people who made it work. Aine and her team were communicative, flexible, and accommodating. They helped with the music, the decor, and making sure our small number of guests were taken care of. We really loved the venue but the staff made the day perfect. -

We had such an amazing day without any hiccups it all went so smoothly thanks to the amazing staff that we cannot fault and all our guests, family and friends are saying the same thing. With exceptional food and service which made it perfect and we loved and enjoyed every minute spent there. Would highly recommend this venue as an out of this world experience and never to be forgotten !! -

In celebration of our marriage, my new husband (!!), family, and guests had the dreamiest weekend at Borthwick Castle. Every single detail was flawlessly managed and executed. The team running the castle was kind, helpful, and welcoming. I couldn't imagine a more magical place to host such an important life event. -

We had the absolute pleasure of getting married at Borthwick Castle, a venue rich in history and steeped in the stunning heritage of the area. The castle’s remarkable presence and centuries-old charm created a truly unforgettable backdrop for our special day. From our very first interaction, Charlotte and the entire team were warm, professional, and incredibly supportive, making the planning process feel easy and enjoyable—even from abroad.
The venue itself is breathtaking. Borthwick Castle’s historic walls and majestic atmosphere completely wowed our guests—many remarked they had never experienced anything quite like it. The day felt truly magical, with the castle’s rich history adding a unique and meaningful dimension to our celebration.
Dinner service was flawless—elegant, timely, and delicious—and every member of the staff was kind, attentive, and a joy to be around, even as we danced and partied late into the night. The level of care and professionalism made the whole day feel effortless.

We planned our wedding at the Borthwick from Arizona in the United States and it couldn’t have went smoother! They gave us tons of amazing vendors that they recommend and Aine was amazing in helping us coordinate ever aspect of the day before our wedding and our wedding day. The castle was beautiful, the food was out of this world, the service was top tier and all of the staff was so nice and helpful with everything that we needed throughout our time there. We only had 21 total guests, so everyone was able to stay there for the 2 nights. Everyone who attended was blown away by the venue and how great all the people that work there were throughout our stay. We couldn’t recommend this venue more. It was the most magical day of our lives and a lot of that goes to everyone at the Borthwick who helped us out before, during and after our big day.Borthwick Castle's reply:
