We had the absolute wedding of our dreams at the Black Horse Inn / Berts rooms and events. !
From the moment we toured the venue, we knew it was something special the grounds are stunning, the atmosphere is warm and elegant, and everything about the space just felt right.
But what truly made our day exceptional was Lydia, our wedding planner. She was incredible from start to finish organized, calm, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our day perfect. No detail was too small, and her experience and passion really shone through. She handled everything so seamlessly that we were able to completely relax and enjoy every moment.
Our guests are still raving about the venue and how smoothly everything went. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to Lydia and the entire team at the Black Horse Inn for making our wedding unforgettable!

Wedding 25/05/2025
We got married here on the 25th of May 2025 and we are so excited to be able to look back at our wedding day and say it was absolutely perfect, and this definitely wouldn’t be the case without the amazing staff who made it possible.
Planning the wedding was a lovely and chilled process, Lydia was such a joy to meet. She put us so at ease and the attention to detail for our big day was phenomenal. We went away from every meeting leading up to the wedding feeling confident and excited.
The wedding ran so smoothly with a member of the venue staff always there to guide us and our guests to what was going on next and where we should go.
The venue itself is so beautiful, and everything was decorated exactly as we had asked. We are so happy we chose to hire the courtyard as guests loved having somewhere else to go and the wedding photos look amazing when taken there.
All our guests loved the wedding breakfast, the food was amazing, we even said it was better than when we did the menu tasting which we didn’t think was possible! Staff catered to all of our guests dietary requirements easily.
Overall we would definitely recommend this venue for anyone's big day.
We cant wait to go back for all the years to come on our anniversary's. -

What can I say about our experience at Berts room at the Black horse Clifton. From the moment we met Lydia we knew that this was the place to celebrate our special day. Explaining everything to us down to the minutest detail for the day. Being there on the phone or email every time we had questions to ask. On the day we were treated like a king and queen and guests were made so welcome. The staff , who smiled all day , were amazing. They couldn't do enough for anyone who asked and deserved a special thank you from Joy and I. The food was excellently prepared and plentiful.
I would recommend this venue whole heartily without hesitation.

Our Perfect Day
Our day was absolutely perfect.
From planning to the day itself we were supported entirely. Lydia walked us through every step of the planning to provide us advice and guidance and hints and tips. WI am a control freak, but nothing was too much I was in regular contact with Lydia via email and had several face to face meetings to make sure I had everything covered. On the day just knowing Lydia was there with us I could relax everyone was where they needed to be, and ran perfectly I cannot express our gratitude enough to Lydia and all the team at the Bert’s for making our day perfect. -

Perfect day
Where do we start! From the first time we met Lydia and viewed this venue, we knew it was the perfect choice, and it didn't disappoint. Lydia couldn't do anymore for us. Communication was amazing, the day ran smoothly (comments from guests said they had never been to a more perfectly run wedding), nothing was too much trouble, and the food was impeccable! With this, the most lovliest staff (including all the cleaners the day afterwards), and being the best value for money, makes this venue the best in our eyes. Absolutely 1st class service. We can't thank Lydia and the team anymore, our day was perfect, with many wonderful memories made. Lydia is worth her weight in gold ❤️ -

We had the most perfect day on 02 Novemeber and it was down to all the amazing work Lydia and her team do. Nothing was too much, even when I changed things a week out from the wedding. The setting, the people. It gave me the best day of my life with the most beautiful photos! All the guest have said how amazing the food was, which was a high priority for us! The beds that night also super comfortable and plenty of room for the guests!
Thank you doesn't seem to cut it enough for all the amazing work Lydia has done! 100% would recommend to everyone. ✨️🩷 -
