The most relaxed wedding!
We got married in August 2026, from the wedding open day to booking to the actual wedding the support and service from the venue was outstanding.
Lydia and the team worked so hard to make sure that every detail was perfect, the value for money was also brilliant in comparison to other venues we looked at.
On the day myself and my Husband has nothing to do other than enjoy our special day. We didn’t have to think about anything, the team worked so hard and were truly amazing.
So many of our friends and family commented on how relaxed our wedding felt and that was thanks to Lydia and the team who made sure we had our perfect day ❤️ -

Was a perfect day and perfect venue especially the courtyard. Was a really chilled perfect day food, music and atmosphere, nothing was too much to ask and Lydia and the team was happy to do what the can to make it personal.
Would highly recommend!! -

The day went perfect from the very first day meeting Lydia nothing was too much trouble she helped so much and we so lovely . I checked into the venue the day before our room was beautiful in every way as was dinner .
The morning of the wedging we had breakfast in the room so we could chill getting hair , makeup done ,
The day went perfectly all our guests absolutely blown away with how beautiful the venue is and have highly recommended it .

We had the Twilight Wedding Ceremony. Lydia, was incredible from start to finish, very organized, calm, responsive. and professional. She did everything we asked of her and made the rooms look stunning on the day. Nothing was too much trouble for her and the team.The buffet table looked stunning and plenty good quality food for all our 50 guests, especially the canapés. dietary requirements were listened to, discussed and met. Lydia was there throughout the whole day to make sure our special day went as smooth and stress free as possible . Thank you to Lydia and the entire team at the Black Horse Inn for making our wedding unforgettable! Professional and great value. Highly recommended -

Day of dreams 🙌🏼
My dream wedding was turned into a reality, thanks to Lydia, and the team at Bert’s rooms/the black horse inn.
From the start, Lydia was responsive, attentive and ready for anything. She saw our vision and helped me achieve what we wanted. We wanted a relaxed day, that felt fun, low pressure but still looked beautiful. Every guest loved the venue, rooms and staff, they were blown away!
The food…this was a real crowd pleaser. Every thing brought out of that kitchen tasted amazing, timings were spot on and the menu options while planning were perfect!
Lydia made sure I had everything I needed the night before too, was incredibly flexible and was determined to make sure our day went smoothly.
I cannot fault a single thing. The hotel rooms were magnificent, food delicious, staff were attentive and venue beyond beautiful. If you want to have the day of your dreams, I highly recommend this venue 🙌🏼

Stayed here twice and have just had my wedding there on 27th March. Lydia and all staff were amazing, food was beautiful and we all had a great time. My wedding was honestly the best day of our lives everything ran smoothly would definitely recommend to anyone getting married or just wants a really nice hotel stay. -

From walking into Berts on a wedding open day, we knew this would be the perfect venue for us. Not too big, not too small and a very friendly welcome.
Lydia and her team were brilliant from start to finish accommodating our wishes.
The venue is gorgeous with a lovely courtyard area which our guests enjoyed (we were blessed with a sunny day!), delicious food and excellent service. An added bonus for us was it being dog friendly.
We cannot recommend Berts highly enough, we had the perfect day as did our guests 😊 Just wish that we could do it all again 💕 -

From meeting Lydia and first visit to Bert's/ The Black Horse Inn we knew this was the venue for us and what we were hoping to achieve for our day.
Lydia and the whole team/family delivered our day exceeding our expectations! Nothing was too much trouble, Lydia was quick to respond to any queries and throughout kept say it's your day no pressure to stray away from what we were looking for. When we said we didn't want a traditional wedding cake, Lydia sourced exactly what we were looking for with a show stopper of a pork pie and cheese tiered "cake" looked and tasted amazing!
Krystle, the celebrant, set the day and vibe with a ceremony which was brilliant and so personal to us.
We had a Twilight ceremony package plus DJ and rooms. The food was great with plenty of choices from canapes, buffet plus special dietary requirements catered for. The DJ kept us all dancing to the end of what was a perfect day!
We stayed in the Bridal Suite which was gorgeous, other family and guests all were happy with their rooms and a hearty breakfast the following morning helped ease a few sore heads.
In all a perfect day, our way and would highly recommend. The different packages available to suit different budgets and styles from formal, intimate to Twilight help to tailor your day.
