We got married at Askham summer 2025 and we cannot recommend it enough. Not only is it the most beautiful setting and place, the team and the whole planning process was so wonderful. Not only this, the food was AMAZING - every one of our guests commented on the food. The team made us feel so special and made our wedding weekend all about us and not once did we feel like “just another couple”. The pictures by Eftal our photographer also just showed how wonderful and beautiful the place is and since mine and my husbands family are not from the lakes, our families and friends were able to make it feel like a real luxury weekend away. Askham Hall really feels like affordable luxury. -

We were blown away by Askham Hall as soon as we saw the venue. It offered everything we wanted from a wedding venue and more and ticked every box. We were amazed by all that Askham offered for a wedding day. The main things we loved were that the buildings and grounds have so much character and history, the venue needed very little additional decoration as every room is beautifully decorated. Our florist was keen to continue the beautiful gardens colours at Askham in our flower arrangements. We loved that we would had the venue to ourselves with our guests throughout the wedding, it really felt a home from home. We loved that there is lots of different rooms to utilise throughout the wedding, so guests didn’t feel they were confined to one area throughout the weekend. The food was amazing, and we get guests commenting on how good the food was all of time. We were made to feel special throughout the whole wedding planning process, and every time we visited the wedding for meetings etc. The staff are a credit to Askham Hall, they answered every query promptly, they know the venue so well and get to know each couple to know how they want their wedding to look. On the day the staff were exceptional, we really felt like we were left to enjoy our day and they sorted the rest- this was so appreciated and didn’t go unnoticed. We got married in the church in Askham (St Peter, Askham) which was beautiful and the staff at Askham were great at helping us to organise this. Overall, we had an amazing wedding, thank you so much Askham Hall, we would recommend Askham Hall to anyone. -

When we walked in to the venue we had 2 immediate thoughts... 'this is it' and 'we can't afford this'! We were incredibly surprised when discussing prices with the wedding coordinator team when we realised it was within our fairly modest budget.
We couldn't recommend this venue highly enough - the location (just 2 minutes walk through the 'secret garden' to the closest church), the staff, the accomodation, the food, the pool & spa, all the stuff that gets included when other places charge you! The wedding coordinators made us feel completely at ease throughout the entire planning process, giving us enough time in meetings to discuss our plans, without putting any pressure on if we hadn't got all the details finalised.
We ordererd the standard number of drinks and we were a little nervous that there wouldn't be enough but the general comments was there was plenty! We had the BBQ the night before which was unbelievable, and the canapes, wedding breakfast, evening meal and breakfast were also amazing - couldn't fault it!
We had Jenny as our main wedding organiser who was great, she was there throughout our entire day and made sure it all ran smoothly, even being patiently flexible when speeches ran WAY over with food arrangements!
Would highly recommend for couples looking for a stunning, rustic, yet affordable venue in the most beautfiul location and part of the country! -

Me and my wife got married here on August 1st 2024 and from our first look around to the day of the wedding the staff and venue itself were incredible. We had been to Askham Hall before for food etc but the whole day was even more incredible than we thought it would be and all of our guess commented on how brilliant the venue and staff were. -

The perfect venue
I knew Askham hall was the perfect venue for my wedding the minute I walked through the door. It had the perfect mixture of being picturesque, dog friendly, breathtaking but also gives of a lovely cozy feeling aswell! From the first walk around till the day of my wedding it just got even more special every time we visited. The staff were lovely, accommodating, helpful and always just an email away during the process.
The food was amazing, the grounds are stunning and the staff were lovely. I highly recommend going to see for yourself how beautiful this venue is! -

Askham Hall - the dream venue
We got married on 2021 and Askham Hall was the dream venue. The wedding team listened to our vision as well as our budget so we could organise the best day. The house, the barn, the grounds, the pool, the service, the night before, the rooms - everything was just perfect and we couldn't have wished for a better day! -

Fairytales in the Lakes
UNBELIEVABLE VENUE! We had our hearts set on a wedding in the Lakes and, from the very start, Askham Hall could NOT have done more for us … from all of our (many!!) questions and wishes, to the final touches just because, the team were just great. We had so many personal requests and nothing was too much for Jenny, Becca and the team - we had our dream wedding and an INCREDIBLE party and we can’t recommend them enough! -

Amazing wedding venue
100% recommend this beautiful venue. The grounds, the rooms, breakfast area, the barn and surrounding area is stunning, peaceful and so charming.
Communication was always great, they couldn't have made it easier. We never felt overwhelmed or rushed in decision making.
The staff went above and beyond, even the guests commented on how gracious, welcoming and generous every one was.
All the food and drink were to the highest standard.
Couldn't have had a more perfect weekend and I hope others at least go and visit Askham to see for themselves! -

We got married at Askham Hall on the 12th June 2025. The whole process was amazing and nothing was too much trouble.
The night before the wedding we had a wonderful barbeque for close family and friends. This was beautiful and the food was 10/10.
The wedding day itself ran so smoothly, everything was exactly as we had pictured. The staff were so helpful with everything which really took away the stress. The food was brilliant and basically everyone had empty plates.
Such a stunning venue, wouldn't hesitate booking here - we wish we could do it again! -

We booked Askham on the spot during our first tour of the venue. It was the only venue we looked at and we fell in love instantly.
Askham is naturally stunning but the wedding team is what really makes it. The communication, guidance, support, advice and flexibility was just amazing. We had the most incredible weeding day and genuinely would not change a single thing, this is thanks to the team at Askham.
Having exclusivity of the venue meant we really felt as though we were in our own bubble and we were surrounded by nothing but love and support from our loved ones. The food….. we still think about the food. Just gorgeous! At least 30 guests told us it was the best wedding food they have ever had.
The beauty of the grounds, character of the house and romance of the barn are beyond words. Our friends have been to lots of wedding and so many of them said it was the best venue they’ve ever been to.
Put simply, we cannot recommend Askham enough and have already booked to go back and stay for a long weekend as we love the venue and staff so much. -
