We got married at Shotton Grange in January 2024. From the go the whole team were absolutely amazing in every way. Nothing was a bother in the run up, everything was explained in great detail and our meetings scheduled way in advance. They were incredibly responsive via e-mail and phone whenever we had any questions or changes we wished to make.

On the day before the team were on hand to help with anything we needed and ensured us and our guests had a comfortable nights stay in anticipation of the big day.

The day itself ran so smoothly and seamlessly. We had quite a few allergies and intolerances amongst our guests and the kitchen could not have been more accommodating. The canapes, wedding breakfast and evening food were all delicious and so well presented. All of the team working on the day were fantastic and so helpful.

Stunning venue, amazing staff. We had the most amazing day and will remember it forever!

Shotton Grange is the most beautiful, perfect, private and rustic wedding venue, and anybody would be lucky to get married there! We certainly feel very lucky that we chose this wonderful venue.

We had the most wonderful wedding day! It was literally perfect from start to finish, and there's not a single thing we would change about it. All of the team at Shotton are just wonderful. They couldn't do enough for us, from us booking our wedding in 2021 to the wedding day itself - nothing was too much trouble. This made everything run so seamlessly on the day. We are incredibly grateful for this.

That original show around with Emma in 2021 feels like such a distant memory now. We are delighted that we chose to get married at Shotton and would recommend it so highly to everybody.

We also received a beautiful card in our wedding postbox on the day from the Shotton team. It's stunning and was so very kind of them and a lovely touch!

We got married at Shotton Grange on 04/11/2023. The day was perfect - it was everything we wanted and more. The venue - rooms and grounds are beautiful and give plenty opportunity for photos. The food was outstanding - guests are still commenting on it now. Emma was our main contact at the venue and did most of our meetings - she is fantastic, helpful, friendly and nothing is ever a bother, she even popped to see us on the wedding day which was a lovely touch. Rachel was our master of ceremonies during the day and she was brilliant. We honestly cannot thank and recommended this venue enough.

We got married at shotton grand two weeks ago and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Emma’s service, responsiveness and friendliness from our very first enquiry to popping in to see us on the day was perfect, we could not have asked for more. The amount of emails I sent asking for various things I thought they’d be sick of me by I always got a swift and friendly response! Our on the day MC Max was fab and kept us all on track saving us from worrying about timings and just allowing us so have the best time. The Venue and its grounds are stunning, the food is gorgeous and the memories we now have are brilliant. Thank you so much for giving us the best day we could have imagined for. Even with classic windy and rainy British weather there are so many beautiful spots to get photos. Our friends and family are still absolutely buzzing off it, and so are we obviously!!

We had the most perfect experience for our September wedding. The team did everything possible to accommodate any requests we had, the venue is stunning, and the staff are amazing. We had most of our meetings with Emma, nothing was ever too much trouble and she even stopped by on our big day despite having meetings, to see us both. We cannot praise her, or Alison, our master of ceremonies enough. The whole day ran perfectly, with no hiccups, and we had so many guests comment on how perfect the venue, food and service had been. We could not have been happier with our choice of shotton grange. I just hope we get to go to more weddings there as a guest, so we get to experience this amazing venue again. Shotton Grange were excellent to work with from start to finish. They responded to emails really quickly and the meetings we had with them in the run up to the day were very helpful. All of the staff were extremely helpful and made sure that everything went to plan on the day.

From our first viewing with Emma, we felt looked after and could truly imagine our entire day there. Everything from the location to the food was everything that we could have dreamed of, and our many meetings leading up to the day covered all of the finer details that we wouldn't have even though of ourselves.
One of the most attractive things about Shotton for us was the potential for so many unique photos. From the festoon lighting over the entrance, to the new water fountain, you wont be short of places to get some greast snaps!
Plus with it being exclusive use, it made the whole day so much more relaxing, knowing that the only guests arriving will be for you.
If you are looking for a rustic wedding, this is the venue for you.

We would just like to take the opportunity just to say how much we appreciated every member of staff that were there for our weekend and wedding. Everyone was so attentive and supportive throughout. Nothing was too big of an ask and when one of our suppliers were running late you were on the case to see where they were for us allowing us to enjoy the night before with our guests.

Everything ran efficiently and on schedule (something that is hard to do on a wedding day!) All of our guests commented on how lovely the staff were, how amazing the food was and how beautiful the venue is. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.

I am so glad we chose Shotton Grange for our special day! Everything went perfect and Allison the coordinator was absolutely amazing, even when my veil blew off before the ceremony! The day ran so smoothly and the venue took all the stress of the day away so we could really enjoy the moment. The venue itself was just beautiful and it was just so special to have everyone in one place for the two night :) thankyou again!

We had the most wonderful day at Shotton Grange.

The team pre-wedding made us feel well-looked after and were comprehensive and friendly throughout the whole experience. At one point I was worried because I wasn't stressed - Emma had a meeting with me to set my mind at ease.

On the day, our wedding coordinator Alison was amazing. She did everything for us - she helped with the buttonholes for the men and rescued the Bridal Party from a wasp. Her communication was perfect and I felt in very safe hands.

The whole team were fantastic, from the cleaners who were always smiling, to the bartenders who were on the ball, and the servers who were on point, everything looked choreographed!

Shotton Grange as a whole is the perfect venue. It is in the perfect location for anyone travelling. As it is exclusive, having the rooms on site meant we had the bonus of having all our closest guests around for breakfast the next morning too. The gardens are beautiful year round and made for some wonderful photos.

We had the most amazing wedding day at Shotton Grange and cannot thank all of the staff involved enough for everything they did to make it magical both in the planning stages and on the day itself! Alison, our master of ceremonies, went above and beyond to make the day run so smoothly; she really is an absolute star!

The venue was stunning, the food was beautiful… the day couldn’t have been more perfect! All of our guests commented on what a beautiful day it was from start to finish and how the staff could not do enough to help. In fact, one of our guests is now thinking about having her wedding here too!

We had our wedding at Shotton Grange on 29th July 2022, from booking the venue through to the wedding day the staff were professional and made everything easy. We loved every minute of the day and highly recommend the venue.
We dealt with many staff along the way however our main wedding coordinator was Emma who was excellent as we're the rest of the team. Cameron ran the day perfectly and his team were fantastic, too many names to mention however Danielle was brilliant on the day along with Alison on our day of check out. All of the team are friendly and make the planning easy. A special thank you to the chefs who kindly made a main meal for a family member who arrived late this was very much appreciated.
The guests have commented that it was a fabulous day and the food was exceptional.
It was a special unforgettable day in a great place thank you so much.

After meeting with their sales team at a wedding fayre we decided to take look around and immediately fell in love with the venue. We made the decision to plan and arrange everything in a matter of months and the help and support we received from our wedding planners was impeccable and they were always prompt to reply to emails regarding any issues or questions we may have had.

When the big day finally came around the team were always on hand to offer any assistance we needed. Anything we wished to change or wasn't quite right they would assist in anything we need and went the extra mile to ensure our special day was exactly how we wanted it.

The venue is beautiful, and if you are lucky to get good weather it makes for some amazing photo opportunities. Their walled gardens made a great place for guests to unwind, socialise and enjoy refreshments before and after the ceremony.

You will need to take a number of rooms for guests staying over night as part of your package, but the rooms are spacious and a great addition to the manor house, it's just a shame that you can only stay here during a wedding!

We would highly recommend Shotton Grange to anyone who may be thinking of having a wedding in a venue like this. It is a shame we can do it only once!

Five weeks on and I’m still riding high on the memories of our wonderful wedding at the fabulous Shotton Grange! We wanted a rustic style, country house wedding and as you know the North-East has an abundance of beautiful, grand country houses to choose from however having considered a number of them, Shotton Grange stood out head and shoulders above the rest for a number of reasons. Firstly it’s quite simply a gorgeous house set in stunning grounds and they are very dog-friendly which was really important to us that our pooch could be with us on the day. The house itself is stylishly decorated and even though it’s grand it has a lovely cosy feel to it. The adjoining coach house (where the indoor ceremonies and celebrations normally take place) gives it a rustic charm that sets it apart from all of the others and was just what we were looking for our dream of a quintessential country house wedding. The location is ideal too because although you are close to a city, which is brilliant for your guests to easily access, you also feel like you are in the middle of the countryside with only the sounds of birds tweeting, music playing and the happy chatter of your guests – literally the best of both worlds! There’s also a selection of very classy rooms to accommodate your nearest and dearest and the bridal suite is very plush with a separate sitting area – great for hair and make-up prep! Again, I hear you cry so what, there’s lots of country houses like that, but the main thing that makes Shotton Grange stand out head and shoulders above all of the rest is the staff! From the moment I started speaking to Shotton Grange I felt that everyone was interested in us, our dream wedding plans, how we met, where did we get engaged etc etc. They’re such a bunch of lovely people and made you feel that they were genuinely interested in YOU and your ideas - not just your cash!! I had shortlisted four venues and I can honestly say that Shotton Grange staff were the nicest to deal with across the board, definitely the most responsive to emails and absolutely the most flexible in considering different ideas that we had for our big day! The team of wedding coordinators were absolutely amazing (for us it was mainly Emma, Lucy, Naomi and Rachael, plus Ops Manager Stuart) but in particular top praise goes to Emma who we mainly dealt with for our wedding journey. Emma was lovely - so organised and relaxed, nothing was ever too much trouble and she made me feel calm and that everything was sorted and on track. Emails were generally answered on the same day by the team or at most within 24 hours, which is fantastic when you are trying to juggle work and organising a wedding! On the day of our wedding special mention goes to our master of ceremonies, the lovely Danielle, who made the day run like clockwork – she was so organised and calm, even when there was a little hiccup with the table plan, she had things straightened up in a flash, it was absolutely no trouble for her at all, she was all about making it the most special day for us - another member of the Shotton team who is brilliant at her job! Stuart and the wonderful catering team came up with a fabulous bespoke menu for us as we didn’t fancy the idea of a 3-course wedding breakfast and they were also very flexible and allowed us to bring in an external cheese cart supplier – not all venues are that flexible as my stepdaughter has found to her detriment when trying to book the same cheese cart! Even now when we meet up with friends and family everyone gushes about how fabulous the food was and how it just kept coming and coming in abundance – no-one went hungry that day!! 😊 One of the things I loved about the whole experience was that all the staff made the house feel like yours, whatever you wanted was no trouble at all and they were all there to help you have the best day ever.

[Bride Note] My wedding blues have kicked in massively (Ha ha! Boooo!) – what will I do without the beautiful Shotton Grange in my life! I wish we could do it all again – the day was made that special for us!! 💗

Our wedding at Shotton Grange was everything we imagined and more. The venue itself is stunning but what really makes is special is the people. From the moment we booked our wedding co-ordinator made us feel comfortable, nothing was too much trouble and we felt they understood what we wanted.

All weekend we were met with friendly faces and anything we needed they sorted (most of the time before we asked!). The co-ordinator’s on the day were amazing, so approachable and organised, they took all pressure off us and allowed us to enjoy every moment with our guests.

All guests commented on how fab the staff were, how delicious the food was and how much fun they had being able to enjoy the venue exclusively making it feel more relaxed - and the gardens were a massive hit with the children!
