Steeped in history, this Georgian-style mansion lies within gardens and grounds overlooking the Sound of Raasay with stunning views of the Cuillin mountain range on the Isle of Skye.

Facilities and Capacity

Raasay House Hotel is a mid-18th century building and was once the Macleod clan seat of the island. This property is fully licensed for civil ceremonies in a number of areas on the grounds and within the building. Due to their unique location, they specialise in exclusive use weddings where all of our accommodation is included in your wedding package. The venue can sleep up to 80 people in the building, and there are various holiday homes, B&B's, and other accommodation providers on the island that the team can assist you with booking. In the Spring and Summer months, the front lawn is the most romantic spot, which seats up to 150 people. This area offers some of the most breathtaking views that you will see in Scotland. If you want an outdoor wedding here, they can provide a large marquee. Within the building, it can accommodate smaller numbers such as 100 in the West Wing Ballroom, 60 in the Blaven Dining Room, or small intimate weddings of 50 in the Library Lounge. Raasay House Hotel's front terrace is the perfect location for champagne and canapes on your special day. If the weather is not on your side, then the bar and bistro are available, and you can enjoy the same beautiful sea views through its floor-to-ceiling windows.
