Grim's Dyke Hotel is a wedding venue in Harrow Weald, Greater London, England. Located just 12 miles from central London, this charming 19th-century Grade II listed country house is situated amidst 40 acres of tranquil, picturesque woodlands and beautiful formal gardens. The property was formerly the home of WS Gilbert; today, couples and their guests can experience the magic of Grim's Dyke all year round. Whether you are planning a summer celebration or dreaming of mulled wine, a candlelit dinner, and lawns blanketed in fluffy white snow, this delightful venue is the perfect setting for the wedding of your dreams.

Facilities and Capacity

Grim's Dyke Hotel has three licensed suites available for civil ceremonies and partnerships. The Music Room is the hotel’s largest event suite and has a maximum capacity of 88 guests. Gilberts Restaurant is a perfect choice for medium-sized celebrations of up to 60 guests. Couples planning a smaller, more intimate ceremony are sure to love the Drawing Room, which has sufficient space for up to 40 of your dearest family and friends. The ceremony typically takes place in the same room as the wedding breakfast. The hotel’s banqueting team will prepare the room while you and your guests take photographs and enjoy delicious reception drinks. Overnight accommodation is also available. The hotel has 47 guest bedrooms, including a luxurious honeymoon suite and period suites featuring comfy four-poster beds.

Phenomenal Wedding Venue

We just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Grim's Dyke. We had a wonderful wedding. So many of our guests have said how they felt well cared for, the food was incredible, and the venue especially beautiful.
Caroline the wedding coordinator answered our many, many queries, putting it all into effect on the day (even putting up the bunting and finding a replacement wedding cake after ours never arrived!).
We look forward to coming back to Grim's Dyke again, especially to celebrate our anniversaries in the years to come.

The Wedding of my dreams

They just made my dream come true.
Everything was amazing.
They adapted to all last minute changes.
Food was delicious
Venue beautiful and lovely gardens
The staff is caring ams welcoming.

Best decision we ever made!

Thanks to the Grims Dyke team, we had our perfect wedding. We couldn't of been more pleased from start to finish. This is an extraordinary team of people of whom we are so grateful for. A major thanks to Caroline for her endless dedication, support and attention to detail - we will always appreciate you! She helped us from start to finish and was such a wonderful person to work with. To chloe, Richard, the chef and Ilona and the rest of the team, you guys are truly amazing. Thank you.
The food was perfect, all the guests loved it. The scenery and beauty of the location was 10/10 and the service was so professional.
I would 1000000% recommend grims dyke to anyone who's looking for a safe pair of hands when it comes to your big day (or any event for that matter!) we are so grateful, thank you to all! /Louise & Dean

The most amazing wedding venue.

I cannot rate this venue highly enough. We married at the Grim’s Dyke Hotel in Harrow Weald in September this year, and we can honestly say the whole experience and service we received was absolutely faultless.
We had the Grand Duke package and also booked around 30-40 rooms and all our guests were absolutely smitten by the venue, surroundings, superb staff and also the food that was served! We went for a taster evening before we chose the menu, which was complimentary ( we received the cost of this off the final price) and we were really delighted with it, however, on the day and when the hotel were serving 80 odd guests, they simply excellent themselves with fillet of beef that melted in the mouth! The hotel welcomed our youngest guests too as we wanted to have the children in our family present.
We stayed for the day before the wedding and a for few days afterwards. The staff could not do enough for us during the entire time, nothing was too much trouble for them and we were treated like royalty. Staff were efficient yet unobtrusive and I would particularly like to thank Richard, Angela, Katie and Claire who were simply excellent. The serving and bar staff were faultless too. All the rooms were perfect; spotless and beautifully decorated. Our package included a string quartet, flowers, photography and so much more.
It was the day of our dreams and we will continue to stay there just because it is such a lovely experience. If anyone is thinking of using the Grim’s Dyke for their wedding, then I would urge you to at least pay them a visit; I think you will be very pleased that you did.

Excellent wedding venue

We held our wedding here earlier this month, and it was a great success. The Grim's Dyke team were very helpful and well-organised. We went for the summer special package, and all of the hotel's vendors were very helpful and delivered perfectly on the day. It's a great location, easy to reach from London but still private and special. All of our guests were very complimentary. The choux swans for dessert were a particularly big hit!

Best food they have ever had at a wedding

contact you to say a huge thank you for everything you did to make the wedding an unforgettable day. We had a wonderful time and our guests did too. We have received lots of compliments about the venue and how great the staff were. The French guests really enjoyed their stay in England and said the hotel was very comfortable. One friend also said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding! So thank you especially to Claire, for answering all my endless questions and sorting out changes to menus, to Demelza for sorting out the table plan and decorations which all looked really lovely, to Anne-Marie and all the staff on the day who did a great job.

Incredible Day

My husband and I got married here on 16.09.17 and it was the most incredible day. The hotel itself is beautiful and the grounds stunning! Demelza the wedding planner made everything so easy and fun to organised. On the day itself we had Richard who was also incredible! All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I honestly can’t recommend this venue enough. Thank you all for making our day so special.

Perfect Wedding Day

I chose this location for our wedding as it has a rich historical background, surrounded by trees and gardens so it is an ideal location for a wedding. Our wedding was quite small but I was very impressed of how professional the staff was. Demelza especially, she is a star and tried to accommodate every change I was doing.
In the end the result was spectacular, everyone was impressed, the food was great and the room looked impeccable. I will definitely come back for some Pimms in the Rose Garden.

Exceptional Service

As loyal guests of the Hotel we were delighted that we were able to recently hold our Wedding at the Grims Dyke Hotel. This Hotel is situated in a superb tranquil location, the Gardens are famed for natural beauty and certainly the best in north west London in our opinion. The Hotel team under the super Leadership of General Manager John Parker made sure that every little detail of service was delivered in an exemplary way.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the events team, Clare and Demelza provided excellent support for the planning of our special day with the upmost client care and attention to detail. We would have absolute trust in the wider team and would thoroughly recommend The Grims Dyke Hotel to deliver an exceptional experience, just as they did for our Wedding day and may other events we have attended over many years. Without exception our family and friends loved The Grims Dyke experience too!

Brilliant Day

We had an absolutely brilliant day at the Grims Dyke. Demelza and her team’s attention to detail was amazing. It allowed Lucy, George and us to relax and enjoy the day. Brilliant! So many guests said it was the best wedding they’d ever been to.
Massive thank you to Richard for keeping it all moving along so smoothly. The weather helped because we were able to enjoy the magnificent gardens. Most of our guests stayed overnight and enjoyed a hearty full English the next morning followed by a stroll around the grounds. Once again, Thank you for making our day so special.
