From the moment we had a tour with James we knew it was the place for us! The whole venue is beautiful, there are so many ways to decorate the wedding venue to make it personal, and we were overwhelmed with how beautiful it looked on the day. The accommodation is also stunning, like a boutique hotel. It was great being able to have everyone stay on site - the Shephard’s huts and glamping tents were also cosy and really nicely done!

The team at Godwick were fantastic. They couldn’t do more to help us, they listened, and made sure the wedding day went smoothly - they left no stone unturned in making sure it was the perfect day for us. Shout out to Hannah and Megan - you guys were the best we really appreciated everything you did for us.

Choosing Godwick was the best decision we made during our wedding planning journey. From our first venue tour with James, Godwick’s owner, the passion and love for the place that had been his family home and played host to his own wedding was clear to see, and this friendliness and pride in their venue was reflected by every member of the team we interacted with throughout the planning process. All of the small, close-knit team were approachable, professional and entirely dedicated to ensuring we had the best day possible. Our coordinator Debbie-Lee was an absolute superstar and a true asset to the Godwick team. From our very first meeting with her she understood our vision for the day immediately and went above and beyond to ensure she helped us create a day that was completely unique to us and exceeded all our expectations. She was incredible at communicating with our vendors, walking us through the logistics and timings of the day and thinking of special touches to bring all our ideas to life.
The venue itself had everything we were looking for and more. We viewed around 8 venues across Norfolk and from our first visit it was clear that Godwick just had that extra special something. Everything at Godwick is finished to an exceptionally high standard without ever feeling corporate or ‘one-size fits all’ and its beautiful buildings provide such a versatile blank canvas around which to build your day. The beautiful venue along with the family-run and close-knit team mean you get a truly personalised experience created by people who generally care about you as a couple and are dedicated to giving you the best day possible.
We loved the history of the Great Barn itself and it was the perfect size to comfortably seat all of our guests with room for a live band and dance floor. The lawn area behind the barn provided the perfect space for post-ceremony drinks, garden games and canapés, whilst guests enjoyed tractor rides to the beautiful ruins of the Lost Village of Godwick. The opportunity to visit the ruin by tractor was a unique selling point of the venue and provided such a lovely quiet moment to share with each other as newlyweds as well as the perfect backdrop for photos.
One of the features that truly made our wedding weekend so memorable was the amazing on-site accommodation which provided the opportunity for so many of our friends and family to stay with us and share in such a special weekend. The Hall itself provided the perfect space for both the bridal and groom’s party to stay together the night before, get ready on the wedding morning and enjoy a brilliant pool party in the sunshine the next day. The rooms were each beautifully decorated and provided the perfect environment for getting ready, as well as a real sense of comfort and luxury. One of the best aspects of the hall was the well appointed games room with its pool table and darts board that provided an ideal space for the groom’s party getting ready photos, as well as for a darts tournament on the Sunday evening that brought all generations together. We also had guests staying in the Old Stables, which was particularly helpful for elderly relatives, as well as in the beautifully cosy Shepherds Huts and Glamping tents which our friends couldn’t praise highly enough.
We are so incredibly glad we chose Godwick as the venue for our special day and cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work and dedication to ensuring we had the perfect weekend. We will never forget what a brilliant time we had there and would truly recommend them to anyone who is looking for an exceptionally high quality wedding venue with a real personal touch.

We immediately fell in love with Godwick and had the most amazing Twilight wedding in October 2025.
The team are all so wonderful and genuinely cared about making our day magical and special. Nothing was too much trouble or a silly question and our planning meetings with Megan were so helpful and reassuring. Godwick ticked all the boxes for us, meaning we could have food trucks, DIY decor and gorgeous accommodation for our family.
The accommodation in the Hall and the Old Stables was the dream and made our family feel so special and involved staying a couple of nights with us - I wish we stayed longer!
Our day was just pure joy from start to finish and really captured the chilled vibe we were aiming for and that is due entirely to an amazing team of suppliers in the perfect venue. Thank you Godwick, I wish we could do it all over again!!!

Me and my partner had our wedding at Godwick in 2025 and we had the most incredible experience.
The staff at Godwick couldn’t be more helpful making for a smooth process start to finish and the accommodation, tastefully designed, was the icing on the cake, allowing all of our friends and family to enjoy every moment with us over the weekend of our wedding. I hope I never have to get married for a second time but if I were to, I’d definitely do it here!

We got married at Godwick Great Barn in October 2025 and it was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, the whole experience hugely exceeded our expectations.

The entire team were incredible, especially Debbie Lee, who went above and beyond to make our day everything we had imagined and more. Nothing ever felt too much trouble, and we felt completely supported throughout the planning process and on the day itself.
The regular calls with Debbie helped to keep us calm and excited and she often enabled us to think about things that we’d overlooked or forgotten.

The Barn itself is stunning and provided the perfect backdrop for a rustic, autumn wedding. It looked beautiful ‘as is’ and was made perfect once we’d adorned it with our decorations.

We also stayed at Godwick Hall with our friends and family during our wedding, which was such a special part of the experience. The rooms were lovely, spotlessly clean, and had everything we needed. Having everyone together in one place made the whole weekend feel even more magical.

We couldn’t recommend Godwick Great Barn highly enough, it was the perfect place to get married and the only downside is that we can’t do it all over again.

We got married here in 2025, making full use of the entire site and all the accommodation. It was perfection from the moment we arrived. We are also incredibly grateful for the suppliers Godwick recommended. Almost every supplier we used came through their trusted recommendations, and each one went above and beyond to make our day truly unforgettable. It made the whole process feel so easy and cohesive.

The venue itself is simply magical, warm, romantic, and breathtakingly beautiful, especially at Christmas. We took our photographs among the tall trees near the shepherds’ huts, and they are absolutely stunning. Godwick Hall and The Stables became our home for the entire weekend, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. The spaces were immaculate, thoughtfully equipped with every amenity, and beautifully decorated for the festive season. Our family and friends had the most incredible time together, and so many commented on how special and welcoming it felt.

Choosing Godwick Hall was the best decision we made. It is not just a venue, but a truly unforgettable experience, and we will cherish the memories forever. The only down side, we only get to do it once.

We had the most amazing day at Godwick Great Barn for our wedding. Debbie-Lee was excellent in helping and guiding us to create the day we wanted. She is passionate about all that she does and her background in theatre stage management means she has a unique and very valuable set of skills in planning and ensuring that everything comes together just as you want it to do on the day. She also helped us to connect with a professional and friendly group of suppliers who understood what we were looking for and were able to bring their creativity and expertise to deliver it for us.

The venue itself is stunning and also very versatile. We loved the rustic feel of the barn which brings a beautiful blank canvas upon which to create something special and unique. For us it meant ‘less is more’ and, with some beautiful trees, great lighting, some simple but stylish drapes, props and flowers, and lovely table settings on the rustic tables, we were able to create a fabulous, natural and open space for the ceremony, wedding breakfast and later, dancing. We also hired a marquee as a ‘chill-out zone’ for guests who wanted to sit, chat and catch up with old friends away from the music of the evening disco.

Nothing was too much bother for Debbie-Lee and the Godwick team.

We stayed at Godwick Hall and had close friends and family staying with us there and in the stables and shepherds huts for the whole weekend. The accommodation is wonderful. Everyone loved it and it extended our celebrations beautifully, which meant that we were able to spend quality time relaxing with our nearest and dearest before and after our special day.

The tractor ride to the barn on the day of the wedding was a highlight - we loved it! And the backdrop of the ruins and open fields was beautiful - to enjoy as we looked out from the barn and also for our photographs.

On the day the whole Godwick team worked together to give us the best time ever. We didn’t have to worry about a thing. The suppliers we worked with were also well looked after by Godwick and together everyone worked seamlessly to deliver a day we will always remember and treasure. Our guests also told us how much they enjoyed the day. In fact, a number of them told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to, apart from their own!

We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding! The setting was absolutely stunning and complemented our autumnal theme beautifully — from the warm colors to the cozy atmosphere. The staff were incredible every step of the way, offering support and guidance throughout the planning process and going above and beyond on the big day to make everything run smoothly. The cost of the venue was very reasonable in comparison to similar venues and the excellent on site accommodation complements the venue. To say we would highly recommend the venue would be putting our thoughts lightly.

What an unbelievable venue to get married at. Me and my wife Lucy got married here on the 7th August, and absolutely loved everything about it. From staying at the Godwick Hall the night before, having a family BBQ, using the swimming pool to then getting married at the Barn. It was just fantastic and we loved everything second of it. The guests gave such positive feedback about the venue too. The Godwick team were also great, always available to answer any questions or queries!

From our very first visit we were so impressed with the professionalism, beauty of the entire venue and information we was provided. James, Hannah and the whole team are amazing. Over our 2 years from setting the date, to our wedding they scheduled check in dates, we could return and revisit to check over what ever we needed. All questions easily answered and made the whole process that little bit easier. Our weekend was just perfect, and that was down to the amazing organisers of the Godwick team. Our day flowed perfect, and we didn't need to worry about anything. The accommodation was beautiful and we couldn't of asked for a more special, beautiful weekend and wedding day! Being time poor, we really valued having all the support from the superb wedding planning team to all the team working on the day at the bar and organising us - the people made the venue really special.

The hall and barn are absolutely stunning and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting. We did the Twilight package and were so glad we did as the ceremony at sunset was perfect. So much beautiful countryside for lovely photo shoots, especially with the iconic ruins.

The barn is huge and completely stunning - all our guests kept commenting on the beautiful venue and grounds. It was amazing to stay in the hall with the pool and so much space to relax.

The Great Barn is beautiful - you can see that from the photos. What the photos don't show are the warmth and professionalism of the Godwick Team. From the outset, communication was efficient and clear. We were assigned an event planner (Hannah), with whom we had regular meetings - Hannah thought of so many small details which would never have occurred to us, but which made the day run smoothly. Hannah set up a WhatsApp group so that we could ping over any questions as they came to mind. Her responses were always quick, friendly and helpful. Our event manager was also present on the day, and it was so lovely to have someone so invested in our wedding overseeing the smooth-running.
The day before, we had free-rein to dress the venue as we wished - which was a wonderful occasion in itself. We had lots of children at our wedding, and the Godwick team were extremely accommodating of high chairs, booster seats, play areas, sofas and more.
The facilities are superb - ample toilets, parking, PA system, a great bar, an outdoor area for fire pits... Our caterer says the Godwick kitchens are some of the best she has worked in.

We really couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else, or having a better experience.

She truly went above and beyond to help make our day as seamless and enjoyable as possible - whether it was helping us with getting our own beer keg from a local brewery, or helping us with our ceremony songs late the night before, she helped us to shape our vision into the most magical day.

On the day, everything ran like clockwork thanks to Hannah and the team’s hard work behind the scenes. It meant we could relax and really enjoy every moment, knowing everything was taken care of.
