Weddings at McArthur Manor
McArthur Manor will not be the right venue for every couple, and we are comfortable with that.
If you are looking for a hotel-style wedding package where everything is pre-designed and selected from a brochure, there are plenty of venues that do that very well.
We take a different approach.
The Manor is hired exclusively to one group at a time, and each wedding is built around the couple rather than around a predefined package. Some celebrations are elegant and formal. Others are relaxed, informal and spread over several days. Most are somewhere in between.
What tends to attract couples here is the freedom to shape the experience around the people attending, rather than fitting their plans around a venue’s operating model.
Most couples stay for two or three nights, turning their wedding into a gathering rather than simply an event. Friends and family arrive, settle in, spend time together, and celebrate at a pace that feels comfortable. With a standard 4pm departure time, the relaxed atmosphere continues into the final day, giving everyone time to enjoy breakfast, say proper goodbyes, and leave without the usual rushed morning departure.
For some people, that is exactly what they are looking for.
For others, it is not.
The important thing is finding the venue that feels right for you.

Every wedding is different. Some couples prefer a hands-on approach, while others want us to manage as much as possible. Most choose something in between.

A Magical Experience
From the moment we arrived, Nicholas and Andy made us feel at home, supported, and genuinely cared for. By the time we said “I do,” it felt like we’d gained two new friends.
The Manor is breathtaking — traditional, cosy, and full of character. Our guests loved exploring the 30 beautiful ensuite rooms, the woodland grounds, the courtyard, and the many social spaces throughout the house. The function suite was perfect for our 60‑guest celebration, and the lounges and bars created lovely pockets for conversation and relaxation.
Andy’s food was a highlight of the entire weekend. From afternoon tea to breakfasts to our Mexican family‑style feast, everything was delicious, thoughtful, and beautifully catered for all dietary needs. Our guests are still talking about it.
Nicholas’ organisation made the whole planning process effortless. Timelines, allergens, room allocations — every detail was handled with care. We never felt stressed, only excited.
McArthur Manor is a venue with heart. Nicholas and Andy pour themselves into every moment, and it shows. We would recommend it 1000 times over

Our coordinator, Nicholas, was amazing from start to finish. He worked with us on every single detail and had a chilled approach that really helped keep the atmosphere relaxed and stress-free.
Another massive highlight was the food—it was absolutely insane! A huge shout out to Andy the chef, who allowed us to completely curate the menu and worked closely with us to get it perfect. Combined with the lovely bar staff and team, the service was top-tier. We lucked out with great weather, but the overall experience was great.

As a family run business, we take a very hands on approach and genuinely enjoy getting to know each couple's vision for their day. From your first enquiry through to the wedding itself, we're here to offer guidance, practical support, and a warm welcome, helping you create a celebration that feels relaxed, personal, and truly your own.
