Hi, I’m Lisa — the one behind the emails and the table plans, and the person who will likely take the most photos at your wedding. I’m the Wedding & Events Coordinator here at Durham Masonic Hall, and I absolutely love what I do.

We’re not a huge venue, and that’s exactly why I think our couples love us. We’re small, we’re personal, and we care — a lot. We don’t host 5 weddings a day or rush you out the door for the next booking. When you book with us, the entire building is yours, and you’re not just another date in the diary — you're someone we genuinely get excited about.

Every couple is different, and I’m here to help you have your day, your way. We don’t do rigid packages or “one size fits all” — I’m here to help you plan something that feels right for you.

I know weddings can feel overwhelming (so many decisions!), but I’ll be here throughout to help you, keep it fun, and make sure you don’t miss anything important — like what time the bar closes (11.30pm if you’re wondering!).

Nigel is one of our highly experienced Masters of Ceremonies and an essential part of our wedding team here at Durham Masonic Hall. Pete is one of our brilliant Masters of Ceremonies and a familiar friendly face at many of our weddings here at Durham Masonic Hall. With his approachable nature and great sense of humour, Pete brings a wonderful balance of professionalism and personality to every celebration he hosts.

On the day itself, Pete is there to make sure everything runs smoothly — welcoming guests, guiding the wedding party, announcing speeches, and ensuring the day flows effortlessly from start to finish. His calm, confident approach puts couples at ease and allows them to simply relax and enjoy their day.
