I don't know where to start really. I was a little nervous about planning such a big day that we had both been dreaming of for a long time and at first it felt very overwhelming. Once I had been to see the Doubletree Liverpool however I knew this was the venue for us. The building itself was absolutely breathtaking and all of the staff were so warm and friendly.

Once we had booked we were assigned Vanessa to coordinate our big day and she was absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and she made me feel like I could just relax and she would take care of all of the finer details.

During our final few visits before the big day we met both the General Manager and the owner who expressed interest in our big day. The owner had a coffee with us and wanted to hear all about the plans and talked us through the best places for pictures in the building which was just so lovely that he was invested in us having a great day.

On the day itself everything was amazing, we had Idajet & Hosam running everything and they were so friendly and helpful. Everything ran like clockwork. One of our guests had limited mobility and they made sure all the provisions were in place to assist which was a special touch for us.

The food we had organised was just absolutely unbelievable. All of our guests commented that it was some of the nicest food they had ever had.

We upgraded to the Bridal suite which was worth every penny as there was ample space for all the bridesmaids to get ready.

The following morning we had breakfast which was wonderful and then used the spa which was just what we needed. We didn't book for treatments but from what we did see we will definitely be going back to do this.

All in all it was the best day of our lives and we cannot thank Doubletree enough for all they did to ensure it was a success.

We got married at the Doubletree on 24th August 2024. We had planned this for well over 16 months. During the planning we had 4 different wedding coordinators, so no continuity, which caused great stress and confusion, each time we had a new coordinator we had to go over everything again.

The organisation on the day was shambolic, from sorting out a room for the bridal party to get ready…they expected us to move rooms halfway whilst we were all getting ready! No staff member checked in on the bridal party the whole duration of the morning of the wedding. The hair and make up artists couldn’t believe it.

We were staying over at the hotel the night of the wedding, when we arrived back at the room after the evening, the room hadn’t been cleaned even though we’d been promised it would be done! We ended up having to sort it ourselves! We were promised a late check out at 12 noon. 11am came and housekeeping are banging on the door arguing with us about not having a late check out!

The actual wedding….drinks that we had paid for had not been put out for guests. Music was played at the wrong time during the ceremony. Staff member talking on phone whilst holding a live mic so everyone could hear him. I could go on….

It’s such a shame as the building and the room where the ceremony is held is beautiful.

The bedrooms are grotty, burn marks on the carpet, sloppy paint work, bathroom tiles that need grouting.

We’ve raised a complaint, however we’ve been faced with a manager who is arrogant and disinterested.

Avoid, avoid, avoid.

What can we say. All the team at DoubleTree by Hilton made our wedding day magical. It was everything we had wanted and more. We cannot praise them any higher, we are so glad we picked this place for our wedding venue.

I couldn’t fault anything really.
Everything ran as smoothly as possible. I felt like I had full control.

Even got an upgrade the night before!

From beginning to end Shadae the events manager took the stress out of organising our wedding at the Double Tree Liverpool. Honestly it was the best day of our lives

We had to change our wedding plans at short notice and, as we were already staying at the Doubletree, we asked if they could organise our reception to be held a few weeks later. We had a good idea of the kind of things we wanted but Shadae took those ideas and improved upon them significantly, resulting in a brilliant experience for us and our guests.
The food quality and menu choices were excellent, and the catering team put together a personalised vegan choice, as well as ensuring that a delicious selection of gluten free food was available.
The building has a quiet grandeur, and the Canon Suite and Library Lounge were perfect for our reception. The Dale Street entrance and staircase were a perfect backdrop for group photos, and the events team did an excellent job of advising and assisting the photographers. We had guests with some mobility issues, and they were catered for with no difficulty whatsoever. Lynn and I would highly recommend Shadae and her team to friends and family who wanted to organise a wedding in Liverpool.

Our wedding at DoubleTree by Hilton was held in the Canon and Library rooms, and was coordinated by Shadae and her team. The venue itself is amazing, and all our guests loved it, the different styles of the rooms worked really well, and there was more than enough space for the 50+ guests to all make themselves comfortable and enjoy the day.
Because we’d booked two years in advance, we had a couple of different coordinators assigned to us at various stages, but we were really glad we had Shadae for the all important final stretch and for the day itself. We were (..or rather Dave was) quite pernickety on wanting certain things to run in a certain way, some of which were atypical requests like having our own songs running through the different rooms for the full day, having our own MC, and dispensing of some traditional elements like cutting the cake. However, Shadae was perfectly accommodating with all of this, and never made it feel like any request was too much, while also offering her own recommendations and advice. She was extremely organised, and explained everything really well so that we knew we’d be in safe hands. On the day itself, everything ran extremely smoothly and we couldn’t have hoped for a more special day.

Stunning venue and having all the day in one venue was brilliant, all the guests were wowed by the rooms.

The Double Tree Liverpool were not on our radar until our original venue cancelled on us - this was to be the biggest blessing to have happened to us. Nothing was too much and Shadae and her team went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect on the day.
The building is beautiful. The entrance doors on Dale Street are superb and provide that wow factor everyone wants. The library with the bar in is perfect for the escape from the madness of a wedding to relax or have a chance of conversation. Everyone of our guests was amazed and wowed by the layout and venue.

If we were ever to do it again (hopefully not!), Double Tree would be our first choice for a wedding reception.

We got married at the Doubletree by Hilton in December 2023. Through their contacts and open days, we managed to also book our magician (Simon), Violinist (Adam), flowers (Ewer Roberts) as well as the best wedding venue dressers ever (KRN Events). Our wedding coordinator Shadae was amazing on the day of our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble. When our flowers were a little late she called them, the wrong cake arrived which she sorted quickly and she quickly accommodated any request that us our our guests had (even some that I wouldn't have expected). The venue is lovely, and Shadae is a fantastic addition who takes away any stress on the day. I would highly recommend booking.

We got married at the doubletree hilton liverpool on 2nd sept. The service from the staff in the planning and preparation right up to our special day has been excellent. Shadae was so supportive at every step and especially on the big day when the cake provider was late for delivery and not communicating and she had back up plans ready whilst chasing the provider for us.She was so conscientious with the many questions at the handover meetings and throughout everything I am truly glad we chose the hilton. Our guests really enjoyed the food and the stunning pillars inside the venue which I will always remember as part of our dream wedding day and can't wait to see the rest of the photos. Even at the breakfast the next day the congratulations and complimentary fizz from the team was a lovely touch. Thanks for helping make our perfect day a reality that we will never forget.

Everyone that played a part in our big day, made it absolutely amazing. The Staff were very organised and very helpful, making the day run smooth without any panic. Both the day/evening food was delicious. Would highly recommend having your big day here.

After we were let down by our original venue the DoubleTree by Hilton Liverpool stepped in and provided us with a beautiful venue and made our day very special. Shadae the wedding co-ordinator and her team pulled out all the stops to make sure our day went smoothly.
