Nestled in a unique surrounding in the heart of the City of London lies Devonshire Terrace, in Devonshire Square. Built in the early 1800s and used as warehouses to store luxury goods shipped from Bengal, including silk, ivory, and mother-of-pearl, the venue is steeped in history and is the ideal place to hold your wedding. To add to its grandeur, it features an original 18thcentury façade made from the soft yellow London stock brick. In 2008, the addition of the glass roof over the western courtyard was put in place during the remodelling of Devonshire Square, which offers a location suitable for all occasions and will create a picturesque setting for your special day. The venue also frames a view of The Gherkin in its atrium, adding a modern feel to such a historic place.
On bank holidays and weekends, Devonshire Square becomes the perfect tranquil private venue. Licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies, we give you the opportunity to say ‘I Do’ in the stunning Western Courtyard, and hold your celebration in the same place. Our mouth-watering European menu can be tailored to suit your requirements, and we can seat up to 160 guests, or accommodate 350 standing guests.
Trying to plan and arrange everything for your wedding by yourself can be a stressful task. That’s why we here at Devonshire Terrace take pride in tailoring your event to suit you and making your day magical. We are also one of the few venues in the City of London that holds a 3am license, so you can dance the night away and continue your celebrations right up into the early hours.
