The most amazing venue!
We hosted our wedding at Castello di Petrata in August 2020 (we're extremely lucky, we know!).

Words really cannot describe how perfect everything was throughout our stay, and all of our guests couldn't stop talking about the fantastic time they had at the Castello.
The venue is absolutely gorgeous (traditional Italian chic, overlooking the most beautiful view of Assisi and the Umbrian valley), and being able to host our wedding (and a pizza party the day before) within the Castello's beautiful grounds made it all feel like a dream.
This, twinned with the amazing food we got to experience throughout our stay helped make a perfect day even better, and myself, my new husband and all of our guests cannot compliment the Chef's enough.
Most importantly though, all of the team at the Castello are simply incredible, and their helpful and friendly personalities really helped make all of our guests feel welcome and like they were a part of the wonderful Petrata family.
We would highly recommend Castello di Petrata as a beautiful wedding venue.

Terrible Responsiveness & Unprofessional
My fiancé and I thought this place is simply beautiful and we deeply desires to have our wedding here. We reached out and Giovanni responded right away to our request for info and a proposal. All was well and good until he said he had a problem with another couple who was demanding our dates reserved. After trying to negotiate a solution that would have made this couple (and Giovanni, the owner) happy we never heard from him Giovanni again as he refused to answer our many calls and emails (including that of our reputable planners). I am writing in multiple places about this mistreatment and insincere communication as I’ve truly never heard of such a thing. Italia is known for its wonderful people who keep their word but I’d stay away from this place if you want to be treated with kindness and respect.
