Located in the stunning Welsh countryside near Monmouth, Caer Llan is a charming, family-owned country house that offers the perfect backdrop for your wedding. Set amidst rolling hills and breathtaking views, this historic venue is ideal for couples seeking a tranquil, picturesque location to say "I do."
Experience the magic of Caer Llan for your special celebration! With exclusive use of our stunning venue, enjoy an intimate setting for you, your family, and friends. Our two-night package allows you to arrive early, unwind, and savour every moment, complete with a welcome buffet and breakfasts for up to 50 residents. Prefer something more laid-back? Our Twilight package offers a captivating ceremony backdrop, seamlessly transitioning you from the ceremony to the party.

Facilities and Capacity
Caer Llan offers a variety of beautiful outdoor spaces, including patios and terraces that are perfect for ceremonies and receptions during the warmer months. Our stretch tent provides shade or protection from light rain, while the romantic wedding gazebo is an enchanting spot for exchanging vows. Available from May to October, the stretch tent offers flexible options for your celebration. Should the weather not cooperate, our indoor spaces are available as a backup, giving you the flexibility to choose whether to go indoors or outdoors on the day of your wedding. Each location offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
The stunning grounds are also ideal for photography, with plenty of picturesque spots for capturing your first moments as a married couple. Wander through the gardens, explore the expansive grounds, or even take a dip in our outdoor swimming pool. Your photographer will have endless beautiful settings to work with.
Our venue can accommodate up to 80 guests for your ceremony and reception, with up to 120 guests in the evening for dancing and celebration.
Accommodation
Caer Llan offers 16 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, with capacity to host up to 50 guests overnight. Each room is thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful stay, and we also have ground-floor suites available for wheelchair users, making the venue accessible to all guests.
Services Offered
We offer weddings on Thursdays and Saturdays, allowing couples to stay from the night before their wedding through to the morning after—without the added cost of additional venue hire days.
As a family-run venue, Vicky and Jake Carpenter, along with their dedicated team, are here to support you every step of the way. From your initial visit to the final farewell, they will ensure your day goes smoothly and according to plan, making sure every detail is taken care of.
With an in-house catering team, you won’t need to worry about booking external caterers. Our chefs will create a delicious wedding feast, taking care of all dietary requirements. We also provide extra meals for your resident guests, ensuring everyone is well-fed and happy. Our fully licensed bar offers competitive prices and friendly, professional staff, making sure your guests enjoy the celebration to the fullest.
Our wedding package includes everything you need for a stress-free day, including garden games, easels, a microphone and speaker, a cake stand, and a cake knife—many of the little extras that will make your wedding day even more special.

Amazing festive wedding!
To the Caer Llan team
For those wondering about logistics: the rooms are spacious and comfortable, each with their own private bathrooms and flexible sleeping arrangements for whatever combination of guests you may have. The food was excellent (we had the Friday cold buffet, breakfast both days, a wonderful wedding breakfast with generous portions and the evening barbecue, which was worth paying the extra for in our opinion), and the team are very accommodating for allergies or dietary requirements, no matter how niche. The outdoor space is plentiful and peaceful, with plenty of opportunities for stunning photos.
To all the team at Caer Llan: please keep doing what you’re doing, because it’s something so special.

Vicky Jake and the team really do go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect throughout the planning and on the actual day.
The views are stunning. All our guests loved every detail. Amazing food and plenty of it nobody went hungry. Special thanks to Jake for playing the piano.

The best day!
As a bride, I didn't have a thing to worry about. Everything was discussed in advance and everyone was in the right place at the right time. It was a relaxed day. I couldn't have asked for more. It was a blessing to celebrate our big day at Caer Llan surrounded by family and friends.
The Best Venue you could ask for
We had the time of our lives from the night before right up until we sadly had to leave the morning after the wedding. It was like being in our own wedding bubble having the place to ourselves. Vicky, Jake and your whole team were amazing from start to finish everyone commented on how welcoming and helpful you all were. We can not thank you enough for everything you all did to make our wedding day so special.
From the out of this world food, to the sing along around the piano you made everyone feel at home and like we were surrounded by friends not suppliers. You can truly see the effort you put into making Caer Llan the best venue.

A big thank you to Jake, Vicky, Jodie and all the Caer Llan staff for making our wedding day so special.
All our guests have commented on the stunning views and the amazing food. Caer Llan is such a personal home from home environment and our day was just so chilled (exactly what we wanted).
Vicky was so amazing on the build up to our wedding, answering all my email questions and allowing us to visit several times. On the day, both Jake and Jodie made everything run so smoothly and effortlessly.
Caer Llan will now always hold a special place in our hearts and we are so so glad we chose to get married here ❤️

Everything was perfect from start to finish - Jake & Vicky were incredibly helpful from the very start of our planning through to saying goodbye.
They made our special day so much more special than we could have ever dreamed of. Every request we had they obliged and even had plenty of suggestions too which were all very welcomed.
The food was incredible, all of the guests raved about it. The staff were all friendly and the bar man, Chris, was so kind and accommodating.
We wish we could do it all again and we wouldn't change a thing!

Months on, our friends still say the wedding was the best they had been to because of the atmosphere and the stunning views. They said it felt like a summer party abroad! The venue just made everyone relax and have fun.
Vicky & Jake are phenomenal at what they do and making everyone there feel like a friend. They are always close on hand and communication was spot on the whole way from booking Caer Llan to the morning after the wedding. They covered all bases and we really felt like we were in safe hands and could enjoy the day.
Having the wedding breakfast outside was so beautiful it was surreal, and walking around the grounds with our photographer was another highlight as it's so lovely and well kept. The food was so tasty and everyone's needs were met, even the evening food was so good one of my friends asked me if we could go back for a party someday just for the BBQ!
Caer Llan is so reasonably priced and all costs are transparent from the outset. It knocks the spots off some other venue prices in South Wales that we looked at, without compromising quality or experience.
When you're at Caer Llan for your wedding, you feel that exclusivity and that you are somewhere really special, away in nature with your nearest and dearest, well fed and comfortable - what more could you want from a wedding!
