Perfect Venue for a Perfect Day at Burgh House

Our wedding at Burgh House was everything we dreamed of and more. The venue's atmospheric charm won our guests over, with many declaring it the best wedding they've attended. Culinary excellence shone through, especially with the bouillabaisse and Thai green curry, which were nothing short of remarkable. The compliments we received on both the setting and the cuisine were plenty. Heartfelt thanks to the staff for playing a pivotal role in our memorable day. Highly recommend for an unforgettable experience.

Great experience for an intimate and local wedding!

We've had an absolute wonderful day at Burgh House! The staff was wonderful before, during and after the event. Burgh House itself is a great location for an intimate wedding in an interesting and lovely location.

Special place for a cosy wedding

We held our civil partnership ceremony, drinks reception and dinner at Burgh House. The organisers and staff were very friendly and accommodating of less able guests. We had several parents of small babies attend, and Burgh House kindly let us use a gallery room upstairs for naps and feeding. We used Burgh House’s caterers, Leafi. Overall our experience with Leafi was good but we perhaps caught them on a bad day as there were a few issues with timing of food (a big delay before main courses were brought out, undercooked risotto, then rushed desserts which had to be brought out during our speeches). The staff were not able to tell my coeliac bridesmaid which of the canapés were gluten free, which was frustrating as we had carefully planned the food to accommodate different dietary requirements.

Exactly what we wanted - even the wisteria was perfect!

We had a small wedding at Burgh House in early May (11 people, give or take) and the whole thing was lovely. The venue itself was beautiful - with all the wood panelling in the main room (but not too dark - big windows!) and the wisteria in full bloom outside, and the pretty main entrance, and all the greenery. Arranging things with Burgh House was super easy, and Sophie went through every last detail with us ahead of time so that things went very smoothly on the day. When it rained on the day, the staff also adapted the plans with no fuss. The food, by in-house caterer Leafi, was delicious – and they were conscientious about allergies. Would 100% recommend Burgh House.

Perfect wedding reception venue

We have an absolutely gorgeous reception at Burgh House (40 guests, canapes and sit down buffet meal). The staff were very helpful right from the start of planning and were very involved in the logistics of the event. The food is catered by the in-house restaurant, which was delicious and the service was seamless. Overall, it was a fun and elegant event. I'd recommend Burgh House to anyone that's planning a wedding!

Gorgeous Venue and Fantastic Team

Sophie, Meg and the rest of the Burgh House Events team were truly fantastic and made our special day run seamlessly. The venue is gorgeous, especially when the wisteria comes into bloom in late April/ early May, and makes for a very warm and intimate space in which to celebrate the start of married life. Sophie was very responsive to any questions that we had in the run up to the day, and very generous with her time to walk through the venue and discuss how the Burgh House team can support our vision. We felt truly supported in the planning process. On the day, Meg was incredibly helpful and proactive and we really appreciated her calm and patient presence, especially during the more stressful points of the day. Thank you to the whole Burgh House team for making our special day so lovely.

Divine experience hosting ceremony at Burgh House

We had an amazing event earlier this month - the staff were awesome. The venue itself is gorgeous and I can’t fault it. I’d recommend sticking to around 60 max guests. We had 70 which is the max and it felt pretty tight. So if you want an excuse to cut your numbers a bit, here it is! Leafi do great catering too.

Beautiful Intimate London Venue

We held our wedding ceremony at Burgh House in May 2016. It was absolutely perfect for us, looking for a pretty London venue alternative to a registry office. The location was easy to get to, a short walk from Hampstead station. Several of our guests met beforehand in one of the local pubs before walking down the pretty residential streets to the venue. Others arrived early at Burgh House and had a look round the upstairs museum. It has a beautiful ceremony room complete with piano, an outside garden area if the weather is in your favour or an indoor gallery room if it’s a bit colder. Staff were exceptionally helpful and the post ceremony catering was delicious. We later hired a bus to take us to a larger venue for the rest of the day but if our party had been smaller then we could have happily spent the whole day at Burgh House. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful

My husband and I got married here in July 2005. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a small, friendly wedding in a pretty Queen Anne townhouse. It was not overly swanky or stage-managed, but that''s what we wanted. Our 30 guests could easily come by public transport, which they all appreciated. We married in the late afternoon, which meant we had the garden to ourselves. This was relaxing and the children could run around. The food was great, and the caterers took every care in creating the menu we wanted eg. including my favourite trifle! and brownies with our initials in icing.
