What great service from the first contact right up until the end.
Carina the cello player was such a sweet, talented lady! She was such a lovely edition to our wedding day. She made an amazing day that little bit more magical 💞...
You were all so understanding with us having to wiggle things around due to Corona restrictions and never made me feel bad about needing to change plans (I was supposed to have a quartet but aftwr the government announced that suppliers counted.. we swapped very easily for a soloist. (You were even going to let me swap back again when the guidelines changed again two weeks before the wedding- thank you Brian!
Brian even reaches out to me just just check in after hearing that my numbers for the wedding would need to be halved... going above and beyond as this was not part of his job!
You were super responsive at every stage even two years before my wedding when I first reached out to you guys.
Thank you!
Everyone was talking about how good the music was. I’ll always remember the music so vividly because of you.

Lively band and perfect for wedding
Brian was extremely helpful with our song choices and gave us good recommendations on the songs for the ceremony.Everyone enjoyed the string quartet. We received good feedback on the quartet from the guests. Would definitely recommend them to anyone who are looking for a string quartet for any event. Thanks again Brian and the rest of the quartet!

Amazing Gospel Choir - made our day!
I wanted a Gospel Choir to sing at our wedding in June but my husband wasn't onboard with the idea. The theme was a contemporary London wedding and he was worried that a Gospel Choir might sound a bit dated.
Brian at Liquid Strings was so helpful and accommodating. So much so, that the choir even learnt a new song at our request as we wanted it to be performed during the ceremony itself.
One of the best moments of the wedding, was when my previously 'doubtful' husband leant over and whispered in my ear (when the Choir were singing) "you were totally right love, they are amazing, this is totally perfect".
Our guests loved the choir and they had everyone singing and clapping along at the end, as we left the building. It was fun, upbeat and very unique.
I would totally recommend Liquid Strings to anyone - as I really cannot fault the service. My only regret is that we had already booked our evening reception DJ prior to finding Liquid Strings and I wish I had used them to book entertainment for the whole event.
As little or much as you require. We go from booking solo players only to bespoke packages of up to 4 different acts for the same wedding. We pride ourselves on a flexible approach
How far in advance should I contact you?
Ideally around 6 months - 1 year. It's harder to quote for weddings in 3 or 4 years but we're always happy to address any questions and last minute bookings can also work well on certain dates
Size of group:
Soloist
Small (2 - 3 musicians)
Medium (4 - 6 musicians)
Large (7 or more musicians)
Repertoire:
A large and varied repertoire depending on which group you hire from us. We work with classical, jazz and pop musicians as well as gospel choirs and wedding DJs. From classic to pop and much more!
Is it possible to request something that's not in the repertoire?
Yes it is. Sometimes this incurs an additional cost - it totally depends on the request but we will always look into any requests for you before you decide if there is an arrangement/learning fee
Experience:
All our musicians, singers and DJs are highly experienced. Liquid Strings is run by wedding musicians and we only work with highly professional artists who love what they do
Do you have your own equipment?
Yes
Do you need specific materials or conditions to offer your service?
Yes, for the string quartets we require shade if an outdoor wedding as direct sunlight damages the expensive instruments. All musicians and DJs appreciate refreshments also
Are you able to travel?
Yes, surrey, Kent, Berkshire, Essex mainly - sometimes a bit further if needed
Is there a charge for traveling?
Yes, it depends on the location - if it's fairly close we will just charge around £25 petrol per car. For a long journey (ie more like 1.5 hours plus) we charge more due to longer time frame involved
Do you cover more than one wedding a day?
Yes
Do you work alone or do you have a team of professionals?
With a team
What is the length of time of the act?
It depends on the act. We work with several acts and can offer bespoke packages - maybe just one musician for the guests arrival and ceremony or a whole package to cover the start to the last dance
How much time do you need to prepare for an act?
Set up time varies - between 30 mins - 2 hours depending on the act. Most acoustic music acts will just arrive 30 mins before playing. Bands and DJs take longer to set up with more equipment
Do you do open-air acts?
Yes
Do you charge per hour or per event?
Per event
If needed, would you be able to work extra hours?
Yes
How do you charge extra time?
We usually have to arrange this in advance. It really depends on the act, but for 99% of weddings, there is no need for overtime as the timings of an average weddings are very clear and established
What are the forms of payment?
We ask for at least 30% deposit and the balance around one month in advance. We can be slightly flexible but always require payment in advance to refuse other wedding work offered
