The Borough Arms Hotel offered excellent value for money, and the professionalism of the staff was outstanding. Everything was handled smoothly, clearly, and with real care, making the whole experience stress‑free and well‑organised.

The staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations, value for money was amazing i would highly recommend this venue for any future wedding couples, we were contacted through the whole experience.

They really did exceed all expectations, even from helping to amend a collapsed wedding cake.

From start to finish we felt that we were getting looked after booking was easy and the room is fantastic we had food the day before 10/10 on the wedding day nothing was too much trouble and the wedding breakfast was amazing throughout the proceedings Jennifer & her amazing team of staff we’re always on hand and she couldn’t do enough for us she also takes a lot of pressure off you with her organisation and at an amazing price I can highly recommend this venue we spent a day either side of the wedding just to relax and the staff we’re always there with a smile overall this is a ideal wedding venue 10/10

We had the most amazing wedding reception at The Borough Arms Hotel on Thursday 2nd April. We held our initial consultation with Mr Sheikh in August 2025 who provided us with the wedding brochure, costings and gave us a tour of the hotel and facilities. We were instantly impressed by the welcome, the friendliness and warmth that greeted us. We decided it was a no brainer and booked our reception - we had the Dazzling package. From then our planning was so smooth and the hotel staff were so supportive and accommodating. The menu choices on offer were fabulous and we were able to offer our guests a beautiful selection of dishes - we highly recommend the seabass, beef and risotto mains! The evening buffet selections were amazing too! Any dietary requirements were met with no issues whatsoever and even when we opted to provide Pringles as children's starters that was ok also! We used the hotel's recommended venue dresser - Donna's Designs who just mad the room look fabulous! The hotel DJ was great also and met all requests we made and even supplied guests with paper to request tunes! I could go on but you get the idea! Special mention to Mr Sheikh, Jenifer and Alex who were fabulous and ensured the day went without any issues. We would recommend you to go along to any wedding open days to give you an idea of the decor options and package choices. A day we will cherish and guests will never forget! The hotel has quite rightly earned its excellent reputation and the value. quality and service cannot be matched!

My wife and I booked the Borough arms hotel in Newcastle under Lyme for our wedding. Too be honest it was our first choice. We only wanted a small gathering and this was the perfect venue for us as it was easy for all our guests to get to, we had guests coming from as far as Devon, wales and winsford, so with it being an hotel guests had the option to book rooms to stay the night of the wedding.
We had a wedding coordinator who helped us every step of the way in planning our special day.
As the Borough arms hotel is licensed to conduct ceremonies there we decided to have our wedding all in one place, so guests did not have to travel to 2 different venues.
So we booked the baker room which our ceremony took place.
We submitted our song choices for the ceremony which Jennifer kindly put the songs on a cd as the usb didn’t work.
On the day we were having flowers, cake being delivered which the staff took care of and put them where they needed to be
The baker room was set out with the colours we wanted.
Over the road there is a nice area where photos can be taken, sadly as our wedding was in October we couldn’t guarantee the weather, but we did manage to get some decent pictures before the rain came, but if the weather is good it’s a great place to get some nice pictures.
After the ceremony we went to the bar area where people had their drinks whilst photos were being taken. Then our guests were ushered into the room where we had our wedding breakfast, the room was decorated beautifully to our colours .my wife and I were then announced as Mr and Mrs,
The food that our guests ordered were served table by table which is a great system and it didn’t take long for all the tables to receive their food.
We ordered wine for the tables for our guests and provided stickers for the bottles which the staff kindly put on the bottles.
The 3 course meal was amazing and good portions, the servers were so friendly and professional nothing was too much trouble for them.
After the meal we were served tea and coffee.
When all the speeches were done the room was then getting ready for the evening reception.
We used the hotels Dj who was brilliant and kept to our playlist.
Overall Jennifer and her team made our special day amazing and we could not thank them enough.
So if you’re looking for a wedding venue I would recommend the Borough Arms hotel in Newcastle under Lyme.

What a fantastic day 27th May,
As an older couple (pensioners) we were worried about getting everything right for our special day but there was no need to fret as the team at the Borough Arms Hotel were fantastic from the planning with the lovely Lara Turner and Mr Sheikh to the day itself that went of like a dream,
We and our guests were made to feel so special, the food was fantastic compliments to the chef and staff that went out of there way to make our day perfect, nothing was to much trouble,
I would Highley recommend you try the Borough Arms Hotel for your special day im sure you wont be disappointed.

I would recommend the Borough Arms Hotel to anybody who should ask. Lara and the team were exceptional, the venue was decorated beautifully, the food was Exceptional (both the Wedding Breakfast and the Buffet) They all made the day as Special as i could have wished for.

Also The Downing Suite was exceptional.

We decided to have our Wedding & Wedding reception at the Borough Arms Hotel and we are so glad we booked this hotel.
The hotel was involved in planning the wedding from start to finish we couldn't of done it without the help of the wedding coordinator, she also looked after us on the wedding Day too her attention to detail is spot on.
All our guests have messaged us saying what a lovely day they had and the food provided by the hotel was lovely.

From the start nothing was ever too much trouble for Emma and the team. The attention to detail was second to none - we were genuinely made to feel like our wedding was the only one they were hosting. Although Emma was on holiday on the day of our wedding, Phil was nothing but fantastic all day and made sure every need was attended to. The food was AMAZING - every one of our guests commented how good the food was. We definitely made the right choice in choosing our wedding venue, just wish that we could live it over again!

After being let down by Newcastle-under-Lyme register office, Mr Sheikh at the Borough Arms Hotel was brilliant, rearranging our wedding to be held there instead, at very short notice.
Nothing was too much trouble, Emma the wedding planner was amazing too, communication and customer service was first class.
On the day of our wedding, every member of staff were wonderful, helping to make our day one to remember (and calming a very nervous groom down before my arrival!)
We also had our evening reception there, and again everything was beautiful - the food was fresh, the cheese oatcakes went down very well. Their DJ was really good too.
My father in law stayed at the hotel for the whole weekend and was very impressed with his room and the service he received too.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Borough Arms Hotel to anyone who is thinking of where to hold their wedding or any other celebration, they’re all happy to help in any way possible and we really could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding day.

We had our wedding reception here on 24th august, it was such an amazing day the staff were great, they couldnt do enough for us, the whole day ran smoothly and the room looked amazing both for our wedding breakfast and for the evening part, emma was amazing throughout the whole process constantly keeping us informed of changes etc, the bridal suite room was perfect a very well kept room, thank you to the borough arms for giving us a special day.

We got married here on 15th June had an Fabulous day&night, Emma was absolutely brilliant organising everything for us can’t thank her enough, the whole day ran so smoothly, everybody enjoyed themselves, food was excellent and plenty of it, bridal suite was beautiful and very comfortable, all my family stayed the night too and thoroughly enjoyed it, breakfast was lovely too, can’t fault anything about it at all.
