Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill is a luxury British institution, making the perfect backdrop for the nuptials of any self-respecting foodie! Founded in 1916, Bentley’s is one of London’s longest-running and most-loved seafood restaurants. Considered a British institution for seafood enthusiasts, it has been under the successful ownership of Michelin Starred Chef Richard Corrigan, since 2005. Bentley’s is an authentic expression of Chef Corrigan’s values, championing sustainable, seasonal produce from independent suppliers, combined with a warm, friendly service that makes you feel truly at home.
Facilities and Capacity
In the heart of the West End, Bentley’s offers five elegant and stylish private dining rooms.
The Swallow Street Rooms are the beating heart of Bentley's, comprised of two separate spaces; The Mersea Room and The Library. The Mersea Room is the perfect space for an intimate wedding breakfast or rehearsal dinner for up to 24 guests seated or 40 standing. The space boasts its very own reception area, cloakroom and fireplace. The Library is a charming, atmospheric space that is ideal for the most intimate of occasions seating up to 16 guests. The walls are lined with an array of antique books, a collection curated by Richard himself. The Swallow Street Rooms can be combined to accommodate up to 60 guests seated and 100 for a drinks reception.
Upstairs on the first floor, The Crustacea Room is a warm and inviting private space, filled with natural light overlooking the terrace below. It can accommodate up to 15 guests around its antique oak table.
The Rib Room, also situated on the first floor, has a bright and relaxed atmosphere, awash with natural daylight and charm. It can host up to 30 guests and is the perfect space for a light and airy ceremony. Expect William Morris prints on the walls, white table linens and an air of elegance.

Chef Corrigan has a love for artisan ingredients sourced from local, independent producers throughout the British and Irish Isles. With his gourmet cuisine, you can rest assured that your guests will delight in every bite they take. In addition, the venue's hospitality is second to none. Their signature style will ensure a friendly, polished service designed so that you may relax and enjoy your special day to the full. With a licence until 3am and no noise restrictions, your perfect day needn’t be cut short. An event coordinator will be on hand throughout the planning process to assist in creating your perfect day and lifelong memories.

Wedding breakfast & celebrations
Faultless Experience
All of the communications in the run-up, our visits prior to the day, the welcome and set up, the management of the wedding running order, accommodation of different dietary requirements, all of the food and wines were delicious, and wrapping up at the end of the day was so simple. We had glowing reports back on all of the food and wine, our guests were all extremely happy, as were we!
We had a vegan and someone with allergies who were taken care of very carefully. We also had a couple of people who preferred beer and non alcoholic drinks, who were also deftly catered to.
Having our own bar, cloakroom and bathroom (with nice soap!) made everything so comfortable. We had our full ceremony, a pianist, champagne and canapes and a full meal (with spotify playlist over the speakers) as well as cake cutting and the space worked perfectly for us. Our suppliers (florist, pianist, registrar and baker) were incredibly well looked after to in terms of access. Everything was clear, warm, efficient and very good value. I would recommend in a heartbeat. I'm quite a critical person with high standards, it's rare to have an experience that you literally can't fault, not even if you were nitpicking, so THANK YOU! :)

Excellent wedding dinner
Everything started in April, with Rob (the sales manager) showing us the gracefully decorated elegant space and winning our hearts over with his warm welcome and professionalism. I remember leaving and realising that our search for venues are over!
The process of communication from beginning until the big day was absolutely flawless. Signed the contract, no hidden fees/surprises, fast and efficient. Later got introduced to Tony, the events coordinator, who literally took the whole responsibility from our shoulders and organised everything meticulously, from moment of arrival to menus, from flower arrangements to name cards. Choose our delicious menus which included crab and mussel soup, seared hake and mango/rhubarb meringue (to start with we had beef tartare canapés, prawns and oysters with champagne)
Everyone separately told us how delicious everything was, many people never had oysters before and were absolutely amazed!
On the day, Michael and his colleagues on the floor took exceptional care of us, let us play our music, even moved a few tables after the dinner so we could have a little dance floor.
Honestly couldn’t recommend enough!

I have worked for Bentley's Oyster Bar & Grill since August 2025, but have been in hospitality since 2011.
Working on Weddings and events has always been a passion of mine, helping people make their dream wedding come true. I have always lived by the ethos of it's your event not ours and we are there to host you.
My three enjoyments have always been good food, good company, great atmosphere and I have been lucky enough to work for a company that embodies that!
