Originally built as a bank in the 1880s and renovated in 2012, St Bart’s blends historic character with contemporary style. Amazing venue, brilliant team
The venue itself was exactly what we wanted. A fun location in central London that was exactly the right size for our 75 guests. It came with the lights and set up that meant it felt very cozy and the team did a brilliant job putting out our decorations. The upstairs area meant it felt roomy but also intimate enough for the size of our wedding.
Overall we are so glad we chose Balfour St Bart’s - they did a superb job making our day what we wanted.
We had the most amazing day
All our guests have been raving about the quality of the food, the wine and the cocktails. They coped with our 115 day guests like it was nothing, and even more in the evening. If your priorities are good food, good wine and making sure your guests have the best time, then this is the venue for you. I felt like we got something for every penny spent - rare in today's wedding market.
The bar was efficient and right next to the dance floor - which definitely helped to keep it full all night.
We provided some table decor, with very little instruction, and the team set everything out beautifully. You can tell that they're pros.
Also worth noting, the location is brilliant, especially if you have guests coming from afar. Great train links from major airports and lots of relatively affordable hotels.
Professional, organised and engaging
My only niggle is that this venue advertises itself as allowing outside catering, which is what we were looking for. However, when we initially asked the venue seemed to be taken aback by this and there was a delay in checking with the appropriate people to see if it was a possibility. It was and we were very happy with this but if you are advertising this, then the venue should clearly know in advance.
