Your wedding can be hosted in Aston Wood Golf Club's fabulous award-winning Fotherley Suite, which is attached to the main clubhouse and can be accessed and used privately. Its entrance, bar, and restroom facilities ensure the utmost comfort and convenience to help your day run smoothly. The Fotherley Suite can host up to 150 guests for a sit-down wedding breakfast and 200 for a finger buffet with room for dancing. This beautiful venue is licensed to hold civil ceremonies, which can be enjoyed in the serene surroundings of the suite. The perfect wedding venue!

My husband and I held our wedding reception at Aston Wood in June 2023 and it was simply amazing. I have to start with Meg, the wedding coordinator. She is absolutely fantastic! Nothing is too much trouble for her, her communication is excellent and she ensured our day ran perfectly from start to finish. The venue itself is beautiful. A great sized room with a great layout. There’s plenty of space for lots of guests inside if it rains and then you have the added luxury of the lovely patio area outside if you’re lucky with the weather. There’s some beautiful photo opportunities around the venue- our photos are stunning! The staff are also brilliant! I would highly recommend this beautiful venue for your big day! Thank you Aston Wood!

Amazing!

Completely amazing from start to finish! I would highly recommend Aston Wood to anyone looking for a venue. The staff were extraordinary and went above and beyond! I will definitely be using them again and can’t praise them highly enough.

Everything we could've wished for and much, much more!

Aston Wood Golf Club facilitated our wishes and desires with an open mind and catered to everything we wanted! The events manager Meg, went above and beyond her duties to ensure that our day was perfect from start to finish. I feel no way confessing that I can be a bit of a Bridezilla and the kind of person most venues would dread to accommodate! Meg and her team made us feel so relaxed knowing everything was taken care of, leaving us to thoroughly enjoy every moment of our special day. I cannot recommend this venue enough if you want a really person-centred experience! Thank you again to all of the team at Aston Wood!

Can't thank Meg & her team enough!

Me and my partner chose to get married at Aston Wood and then covid hit! We had to postpone our Wedding and finally got married in October 2022. Although the Wedding Co Ordinator for the venue had changed we were instantly put at ease once we had meet Meg. All the team at Aston Wood were fantastic, the food on the day was delicious and everything was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better day even the sun decided to shine for us and we had some lovely pictures on the grounds. We would definitely recommend this venue and all our guests couldn't speak highly enough of the service we all received.

We were married abroad but chose Aston Wood for our wedding party when we returned. I am so grateful this was not our actual wedding day or I would have been devastated.
The venue is stunning but the organization is shocking.
We spent the time planning speaking to their events planner - she was there in the morning but they do not stay for the actual event.
We had a conversation with the venue to arrange when we would arrive to set up and agreed a time - when we arrived on the day it was not ready and our guests who were close by were cleaning up from the night before.
Whilst we were cleaning we were told they had undercharged us and we were asked to pay more.
When the room was quoted they claimed VAT was not added and therefore asking for more for the room hire
A DJ comes with the room - we were not informed and booked our own entertainment so we were left dealing with this when they both arrived.
We also booked a BBQ which they did not check worked until they were due to cook and it was faulty.
When we tried to raise our issues and dispute paying the full amount we were threatened with court action. And beware - they ask you to pay in full before the day so if there are any issues you will have no chance of getting a refund. They will not accept any responsibility for anything that may go wrong.

Brilliant Day

We had a brilliant day from start to finish, the ceremony was very small and intimate which is what we wanted.
The service was brilliant, especially Simon who has been fantastic the last couple of months with dealing with food choices, guests, entertainment etc.
The food was out of this world!! Canapés were so tasty and the 3 courses we’re delicious!
DJ was brilliant!

Do not book your wedding here

Wonderful Wedding

We had our wedding reception at this venue on 29th July 2017. There aren't the words to describe how happy we were with how everything went. The food was absolutely top drawer, the service was brilliant, the bar was always accessible despite there being nearly 200 guests (Thanks to Graham for this!). The highest praise though is reserved for the events coordinator Charlotte. from our very first meeting 2 years ago through to the big day, she has been nothing but helpful. She really put our mind at rest at all times and allowed us to enjoy the build up as well as the day itself. If you are considering a venue for a special occasion in this area, we would highly recommend this place. If it was possible to give it 7 stars, we would. Thank you so much to Charlotte, Graham and the team.

Wedding Reception

We had our wedding reception here on Friday evening and it was amazing. The venue is a perfect size and comfortably held our 150 guests. Everything ran like clockwork and the staff were amazing. Charlotte the event organiser helped us through the whole process for the past 18 months and no problem was too small. She really helped our day come together. The other two members of staff who helped out on the night; Graham and Elaine were also amazing and made sure everything ran smoothly. I would definitely hire this venue again for another event. Thank you all for making our day so special.
