When couples take over exclusively for their wedding day, our house becomes like their home and we become like their extended family! Our house is a gorgeous blank canvas for weddings, it is grand yet homely and is jam packed full of quirky details, magically managing to soak up the personality of each couple. The atmosphere here is full of love and joy, probably because of the absolute legends that make up our wedding team, busy doing their dream job day in day out! Our house and our team are laid back, fun, creative and wild – but not so hipster your Nan wont approve! We are not normal… being an independent family business means we let couples do their thing without a load of rules getting in the way. We love drinking brews & brainstorming about how to make each wedding awesome – with mind blowing in-house catering, with a layout designed specifically for weddings and with 15 guest bedrooms, we really do ace it. Shameless brag, we’ve won the UK’s best venue (town/ city) 2017, 2018 and 2019 plus 13 other awards over recent years. For ‘20 and ‘21 we were living the dream as judges! We’re chuffed our brochure has found its way to you but fear not, if we aren’t your cup of tea (or the cracker to your cheese) we wont be doing the hard sell. Although lets be honest, you’d be crazy not to at least come for a nosey, right?

Getting married is arguably the most important part of the day and it deserves a spectacular space! Our Ceremony Room is the most exciting blank canvas. It has wonderful power to adapt itself to any kind of theme or colour scheme, traditional or contemporary, rustic or polished, or maybe even a bit of everything! The vaulted ceiling full of curiosities and numerous ledges can be styled to the max or left minimal to curate a space that feels like you. The limewash Chiavari chairs can be arranged in a traditional ceremony layout or a romantic circular style where you can be literally surrounded by your guests! The room holds up to 120 guests depending on the layout you choose. We can’t choose your wedding music but we certainly can play it for you, in fact we’ll pull everything together for you on the day so you can just enjoy it – we’re award winning for a reason.

So if you aren’t familiar with the peculiar British phenomenon that is the wedding ‘breakfast’ let’s bring you up to speed… it’s not actually breakfast. Back in the day couples would fast before the wedding but modern day couples prefer to spend all morning scoffing coffee, prosecco and pastries! Anyway, we’ve got somewhere glorious for your wedding meal, overlooking the garden and terrace, its a bright and airy beautiful blank canvas ready to be transformed into something that really represents you. We can seat up to 120 guests in here. We have even created a stylish space to put all your ‘stuff’. Think photos, trinkets, flip flops, guest books, candy, cakes and you can even project onto the wal

We love a good shindig and honestly we think we have THE best space to do it in. The bar, seating and DJ are different zones of the same space, this holy grail of layouts means guests wont be scattered all over the house (unless you want to spread out or have an outrageous number of party-goers ). The Library Bar is achingly cool and is fab for sinking into a sofa for a good chat. We host evening receptions up to 220 guests using both bars. When it comes to entertainment we are self confessed DJ snobs… we include a DJ from The DFC Experience who are a multi award winning entertainments company, with every wedding booking and the small team of DJ’s we work with are bona fide top blokes (where are all the girl DJ’s anyway?!) If this was buzzword bingo we’d be saying words like bespoke, experienced and experts but it isn’t – our DJ’s just want to chat with you over a brew and help you find a way to mix your beloved hard techno with Nan’s favourite to make sure your wedding is the absolute best. DFC have an online planner for you to add songs you want to hear, plus maybe more importantly, don’t want to hear. They want to know how you want to do your first dance, what vibe you are going for, and also how you want your evening to end and be remembered. Let’s party!
