If you're looking for a venue that truly cares about what you want as a couple, it has to be Ashfield House. I was very specific about finding a venue who could give us what we wanted and not just force us into their offering. Ashfield House nailed it.
1. They actively listen to what you want.
2. They are flexible and understanding.
3. They don't try to force you into their agenda, it's all about you.
4. They're transparent about costs and don't try to rip you off. It's real value for money. We had a twilight wedding and a hybrid sit down meal as we didn't want a traditional wedding breakfast.
5. The team are so helpful. Leanne is an absolute angel, an experienced wedding co-ordinator who fully understood what we wanted and delivered it with such ease and grace.
6. Ashfield House is beautiful. It's full of character, charm and warmth. You have to see it to understand its charm. The ornate staircase is a real wow moment, it's stunning. The gardens are pristine and lush and the bridal suite is huge and so pretty with it's Juliette balcony.
7. It's exclusive to you on the day, it really is your own private venue.
8. The food was amazing, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and enjoyed how different it was.
9. They provide the DJ, he was brilliant and worked with us around a playlist, the dance floor was full, people who never dance were dancing.
10. Go along to one of their open days, you'll fall in love with the team and the venue, it's so captivating and beyond perfect to celebrate your special day.

We held our wedding at this amazing venue in July. We spent a long time trying to find the right venue. We thought we were fairly open with our requirements, but as we looked we realised how many different things we were looking for. We nearly managed to miss this place, until a supplier suggested we take a look. We are so glad we did. The building and grounds are beautiful and one of the selling points was that, despite a July wedding, we knew that even if it poured with rain, there were so many places indoors to make the photos memorable. We wanted a venue which could cater for the full day, start to finish (and overnight for some). Ashfield covered it all, from their own celebrant for the ceremony, to the included DJ as part of the package, right through to the gorgeous guest bedrooms and suites available. Their packages also include fully catered wedding breakfast and evening food. Whilst this is supposed to be our review, the comments we kept getting back from our guests were that both daytime and evening menus were amazing.
Importantly, the mark of a good venue is that your day progresses without a hitch (other than the important one that is). After months of planning, we can honestly say that there was nothing at all that went wrong. Our wedding co-ordinator Marjorie had met with us several times before the day answering our seemingly bottomless list of questions, without any suggestion that there would be problems. They managed all our suppliers on the day and were not troubled by any issues. We barely even noticed everything going on behind the scenes, leaving us to enjoy our perfect day the way a couple should do.
Thankfully, when the day came, even the weather was on our side. The whole day went absolutely perfectly. Almost better than we dreamed, and a massive part of that is down to all the staff at Ashfield House. Thank you! -

Such a dream venue!
I can’t even begin to say how amazing Ashfield House is and what a perfect place it was to get married. From start to finish we had the most amazing experience from staff, to the gorgeous food, to our amazing coordinator Leanne (who was a dream) Family and friends have not stopped saying what a wonderful experience they had. -

Couldn't have asked for more from the venue and Marjorie
We had our wedding at the beautiful Ashfield House, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The venue is stunning full of character, charm, and warmth and every detail was just immaculate.
A special thank you to Marjorie, who was truly amazing throughout the whole process. From our very first meeting to the big day itself, she went above and beyond to make everything run so smoothly. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and her passion made the day even more special for us.
We honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience. Thank you to Marjorie and the entire team at Ashfield House for giving us the most wonderful day. We’ll definitely be back soon for an evening meal!

Where to start with Ashfield House. First of all, the venue is stunning. It's big enough to hold a large guest list but intimate enough to make it feel cosy and full. The rooms are gorgeous, even down to the toilets! Marjorie and the team couldn't do enough for us. They made our vision come to life with no cut corners, even the cleaners were on their hands and knees picking up confetti the hoover had missed! They made us feel like part of the team and you could tell they felt as if they had personal stakes in the wedding. The value for money on Ashfield house, from the food that our guests could not stop raving about, to the taster menu, the bespoke cocktails, the incredible DJ and the decor execution, I would recommend every couple pays them a visit. Outstanding ❤️ -

We viewed the venue in the beginning of 2023 and fell in love! The building and grounds are stunning as they stand and the staff within it are just as amazing! We were greeted instantly and the staff were always willing to speak to us and answer questions. As we had a large guest list, we were worried the venue & options were out of our budget, but the team accommodated to what we could afford and altered things to suit us!
We have had constant communication with the team since we booked; any emails/calls have been responded to asap and no question too big or small! We had the wonderful Leanne as our co-ordinator, who helped us to organise what we needed in the final weeks up to the wedding. The staff were so helpful; we did a lot of our decor/organisation ourselves, so Leanne and the team helped to make our plans come to life on the day! They couldn’t do enough for us! The menu choices were amended to suit what we’d like by the chefs, there were little added details that the team were more than happy to sort. The day ran like clockwork, and we as bride and groom didn’t have to think of anything but enjoying our special day! It was smooth, full of love and so much fun and that’s a big thanks to Leanne, the rest of the staff and the beautiful venue itself! We can’t sing their praises enough; delicious food, friendly Front of House staff, the staff helping clean/set up behind the scenes, our wonderful in-house celebrant Carol, the amazing team and especially Leanne!
Forever grateful for them all, for really making it the most perfect day! -

A huge thank you to Marjorie and the team at Ashfield House for giving us our dream wedding day.
From our first viewing at the venue, we were blown away by all the beautiful interior, the gorgeous grounds and all the different rooms we could use throughout the day - having the whole venue and the rooms upstairs for our guests for the day made it feel so much more intimate which was the vibe that we wanted.
Marjorie could not have been more responsive to our endless emails and queries and we really felt so supported in the entire process which is what every couple wants to feel in the lead up to the day! Nothing was too much trouble and on our wedding day, Marjorie was on hand from getting ready in the morning to the end of the night and helped our ceremony flow seamlessly. Our guests have since raved about the venue, the stunning food and the whole atmosphere created by the venue. I would urge anyone planning a wedding to consider Ashfield House for their big day, we are so spoilt in the North West with some amazing venues but Ashfield House is unique in EVERY way. -
