We had a wonderful wedding at the Abbazia and would happily do it all over again.

From our first visit, Annalisa was warm and welcoming. She worked closely with Elisa, the wedding planner, and Eros, the chef, to help us plan a day that felt personal and thoughtfully organised. The whole team were calm, attentive and a pleasure to work with. The abbey offer homemade gifts and decorations, such as olive oil and soaps which is a lovely touch.
The night before the wedding, the abbey hosted a family meal for 20 of us using homegrown ingredients, which was a lovely way to begin the celebrations. Annalisa and Elisa also grew the flowers for our wedding. We shared a general idea of colours and inspiration, and they created beautiful bouquets and decorations that suited the setting perfectly and felt very good value. It was very unique to be able to consult on what seeds would be grown for your wedding!

Eros prepared a traditional Umbrian-style wedding feast with an aperitivo, buffet (with sliders and truffle eggs prepared live!), three-course meal, followed by cake, pastry mignons and fruit. The food was generous (seconds for all seated courses!) and we loved the grappa and coffee station.
We also appreciated being able to have some guests stay on site, which made the experience more relaxed and connected. We used Eros' local wine choices, which were the best value.

There were many lovely options for the ceremony location, which made choosing difficult. Throughout the day we were able to move guests to different gardens and locations, ending up with a party in the inner courtyard.
The abbey's ancient frescoes and arches are striking, and the gardens are gorgeous and full of colour.

In the week leading up to the wedding the weather forecast kept changing, which was stressful, but the team handled the adjustments smoothly, even with last-minute changes. Everything came together well on the day.

We had an amazing wedding last year in Italy. Annalisa, Francesco and Elisa were so helpful and warm, they really felt like family to us. From the moment we were there to see and discover the place during a holiday, we immediately fell in love with the stunning abbey and the super friendly owners. Once we decided to organise our wedding there, they helped us every step of the way. It was challenging as we live in Belgium but they took our worries away with a few video calls and Whatsapp to keep us updated. They were very flexible, the weekend was unforgettable, rooms are so romantic and nice and the whole setting is just unbelievably beautiful. Our friends and family still talk about it with a lot of enthusiasm. We highly recommend to go there to have a relaxing stay (or to organize the most important day of your life 😉), far away from buzzing cities but in a silent and peaceful dreamy environment.
