Services Offered
Leading toastmaster and MC James offers a range of services that couples can avail of on their big day. He loves his job and prides himself on providing an all-inclusive service that goes above and beyond what most people think a master of ceremonies does. He will work closely with each couple's wedding planner to ensure everything runs smoothly, allowing them to focus on event management without dealing with guests. If a client does not have a wedding planner, James will use all of his experience to act as the link between vendors, venue staff, and guests, allowing couples to relax and enjoy the show. He will ensure everything is on schedule, make announcements for guests, and provide guidance for the wedding speakers. His easygoing and friendly nature puts guests at ease, and he is always willing to go the extra mile for clients, ensuring each wedding he works at goes off without a hitch and is memorable for all the right reasons. So get hitched with no hitches!
Why choose James? What makes him different?
- Fun - James always tries to have fun at any wedding. This is because if he has fun, so will everyone else. (There is nothing worse than a miserable MC!)
- Flexible - James is very aware it is your day, not his. As such, James will always work in a way that adapts the role of a Toastmaster/MC to the plans that you have, rather than adapting your day to the way a Toastmaster/MC! This includes how he is dressed and how he delivers. (Red Coat optional!)
- Adaptable - James has a superpower! He has ADHD, which, whilst it means his admin needs a bit of a chase from time to time, it means that if things change on the day, he can react in a way that minimises any potential problems and is unfazed by it.
Toastmasters/MCs are all different. James may not be the one for you, but his best advice is not to just choose someone on price, because you must be comfortable with your Master of Ceremonies. As a Toastmaster/MC, they play a key part in your day, and you do not want to be wound up by having a supplier you are not completely happy with. Therefore, speak with all your "visible" suppliers first, at the very least on Zoom or in person.
Whoever you choose, have a great wedding day.

Meet the team

Hi, I'm James, The Man in the Red Coat. I am married with a young teenage daughter and am based in South East London.
I spent many years as an amateur actor, before getting some professional training. As such, I love presenting and "working a room." I am highly personable and love working with and meeting new people.
I have ADHD, so I occasionally need a kick to get my admin done, however, this becomes a massive superpower when it comes to running events, as I find it easy to adapt and react in the moment should the need arise.
I worked extensively in customer service before becoming a Toastmaster/MC, and therefore have worked with people from all walks of life, from the workshop floor to the boardroom. Since becoming a Toastmaster/MC, this has expanded further as I have now worked with top sports professionals, celebrities, the Lord Mayor and Sheriffs of the City of London, as well as several members of the Royal Family and of course over 350 couples in the last 12 years.
I love working at weddings. I get to work with couples at their best, and most importantly, they keep me young. I have also made so many new friends. These are the families I work with, especially those that have invited me back on more than one occasion. However, if you had told me 15 years ago that I would be great friends with many Celebrants, Hindu Priests, Imams and Rabbis, I would probably have said you were mad!
When I get a free weekend, I love to spend time with my family, go for long walks in the country and go camping in my campervan.
So, whoever you choose, whether it is me or not, I wish you a truly amazing wedding day and a fabulous life ahead. You never know, we might even become friends!
